Are you sure the Law says without pay? That is the first time I'm hearing such a thing! Is the landlord a philantropist or is he doing charity with the property? For all you know, he could have borrowed money to build or purchase the house and has to pay the mortgage every month as per the Agreement with the Mortgage Lender. If he defaults on the mortgage repayment, his house can be repossessed and he will be the one looking for someone to house him on a charitable basis!

If this truly exists in Nigerian Law, then I consider it unjustifiable sentiment. True, the landlord has to give the tenant appropriate 'notice to quit' but he gives it 6 months or so before the expiration of the period of tenancy which the tenant must have already paid for or is expected to pay for before he can remove his belongings from the property. The notice is to give the tenant adequate time to seek alternative accommodation not to live off the landlord without payment!

My purpose of writing this letter is to inform you that you guys really need to start pitying your wives when it comes to the issue of housework.
Ejor, we understand that you are kings and monarchs and are very powerful and wonderful.
But abeg, try to pity your wives when it comes to the issue of housework.
I have seen different threads on Nairaland where men stated that they can not help with the housework because that is a woman's work or because if they help their wives she will start expecting them to always assist.
One thing you should realize is that you should help out if your wife contributes financially even if the responsibility of taking care of the house is expected to be that of the woman in the society we live in.
It is not easy for women, you have to understand this, having to run jobs and take care of kids and take care of the house all at once is not a piece of cake so please help out.

How would you feel if your wife refused to contribute money to help you with something you have dire need of money for, maybe your business? Or if she refused to contribute money for medical care that you might need for an illness someday in future? What if your wife refused to help you in such times because she believes that contributing financially to the house is something only the husband should do?
Kindly start assisting in the house, thank you. It doesn't make you less of a man.

Michky: I agree with you to the point i embolded above. What you don't know is, sugar from beverages such as coke will disrupt the system to the point of hampering the activities of the pancreas and other body constituents. You might not agree with me but in 50years time, you will. It is well.

CGKing: I will tell u want to do. First of all, coke can never be good for u. So u need to find out what really makes u like coke so much. There r two things I think. The chill: meaning u wont like coke if it isn't chilled. The fizzy feeling n tiny poppings in your mouth as it makes contact with ur inside. The fizz is caused because coke is a carbonated drink.

Look for an alternative that is carbonated with less sugar or no sugar, chill it well and u will still have the same coke satisfaction.

While u r at that, u may want to get yoyo bitters. If u crack up and drink ur normal dose of cole, just down a considerable ammount of yoyo buyers to flush ur system. Anytime I get careless n tale cake n soft drinks., I make sure I go for yoyo. When yoyo comes in contact with sugar, shitt happens.

It really feels good drinking coke right. But when u get diabetic and u have to inject urself with syringes, you would think back and wished u weren't so stupid. It's a horrible life. Among so many other troubles, wounds of diabetics hardly ever heal. So a little cut or scratch from any object mistakenly can become a massive wound and sometimes can lead to death.

So wisen up now and start hating coke. Get yoyo bitters while u are at it. Don't be ur own enemy.

odume10: @ op, what u are addicted to is CAFFEINE not d coke itself, a friend of mine whose mum died of diabetes was in ur condition for so many years but he checks his blood sugar regularly. why he stopped was when he started having different kinds of problems in his system that are not even related to sugar then he decided to minimize it.
It has even been affecting his MINISTERIAL activity and we call him '1 star General' lol....
