Good day to you all.

Last year, I completed my NYSC service and graduated from the university with a third-class degree. I have always had a passion for military service and, before graduation, I have been applying for several roles within the Navy, Army, and Air Force. I am delighted to say that I have been shortlisted for the Army after I applied again few months ago. Although my mother is not pleased with this career choice, she keeps saying I should have applied for short service and not with OLEVEL, But I graduated with a 3rd class, although my siblings and father support my decision.

Luckily for me, I was shortlisted to go for training in a month time, I don't know if I should proceed with the training or just stay back at home because the decision isn't going well with my mom and With the current unemployment crisis in the country, I am just totally confused and don't want to miss the opportunity. What advice can you give 😢😢

Hello mr lover boy, good to know you are in love and with a fellow corpper, who is now involving herself with another man which I believe is of higher status than you are currently.
What I would like you to consider are
1. Is the man she is involving herself with married? IF the answer is yes, still hold on to her as she might just be cashing out from the man and also looking for a fresh ground of opportunities and connection through the man. But if the man is not married, end the relationship now. Because the man might end up marrying her, as he has found a wife and the reason for their dating. Which would in the long run lead to marriage. And you now considering you are not even helping her financially, she will see you as not ready for marriage. Highest she can allow you have the cookie pot, but will she be secure in your hand financially? Can you take care of her?
2. Secondly if I understand one of your line very well, both of them have been dating, before you came into the line. You are just a new comer. She will eventually choose who she wants. Remember, its just a one year service. After the service what next are what you should be thinking now. Are you going to remain in that same state where you both are serving? She is a woman surely she will go back to her state back to her family or she can decide to stay back and continue her love affair with the senior colleague who is already settled in that state, while she look for something doing or probably get employed in that company.
Sit yourself down and think very well make you nor let corpper love let you lose guard. If you know you will marry her, show all the commitment now so that she will know you are serious with her.

We actually planned to stay back after our service year , concerning the senior officer I guess his married

Dear nairalnders pls I need your opinion

As a current corp member , I recently found myself in a difficult situation. I am dating a fellow corp member who works in a different unit from me. Despite the distance between our workplaces, we still spend time together outside of work as we both reside in the same corpers lodge However, I recently learned that she is involved in a secret romance with a senior staff member within the company, and this relationship began prior to our own.

Despite this knowledge, I am hesitant to end our relationship with her as I am considering her in the future plans for our lives. She has shown her love and care for me through various gestures, such as gifts, surprises, and emotional support, leading me to believe that she is the one. However, she has informed me that her family is in financial distress and she sends money home at times for her parents , which is not a significant amount, is not enough.

In all of this, I am concerned that her involvement with another person may be considered cheating, but I am also aware that I have not been able to help her with financial support to assist her family. Therefore, I am seeking guidance on how I should proceed with our relationship while considering my options.

Hello Nlers,

Well if there is one thing ive noticed its that everyone seems to talk or write off Tech as a solution to poverty and a good way to make money online .

Well i cant blame those of you who feel that way, cos truth is the term " programming" or "web development " has been abused so much in Africa.

Now i love statistics , just in the last 1 year alone , 1.8 million Indians from the slums joined github ( an opensource tech platform for new and experienced Techies to collaborate).

Why?

Well cos they know and get useful current information on how and why Tech still remains the best way to leave the trenches.

Forget HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT noise everywhere .
Its saturated and thus feels as if The whole tech thjng is just a lie.

I want you to move your mentality from "Job hunting " to " Impact Making" ..... and also from "crowd mentality" to " taking the road less travelled ".

Now ive created a course and fine tuning it to mentor only 50 Nigerians / Africans , from Zero to CloudNative Engineering / Kubernetes .

See nothing is assured right? But i can assure you that you would be making atleast $500 monthly in a few months during and after this course.

I attend various programs and events and wish i saw more africans in this space ...

Look at the apps you use, they all run on something called " Container technology" ...And thats where you come in with your knowledge in Kubernetes.

After this course, you can also work as a Devops Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Kubernetes Engineer, Platform Engineer, OpenSource Engineer , Technical Writer , e.t.c

I would be spelling out how to make money in a clear actionable manner as a main topic in the course.

There is a large Gap in diversity and inclusion on the global stage , and trust me as an African Man or Woman ( ladies are even more favoured in this path) , you have an opportunity to grow and move from your current level to a better level in a short time .

If i were to start afresh on this tech journey, God knows this is how i would have started and i wish i had somebody to hold my hands from day 1 like this ...

If you would like to join the waitlist for this mentorship program : shoot me an email with the keywords : Kubernetes Nigeria Mentorship

There would be a two-weeks free access for those on the waitlist and then you can make up your mind if its worth it .

Il respond with a link to our telegram group ( oh be ready to learn to use slack too " )

Abeg Respond to the message boss...

I have 6 month left to finish my nysc boss , I know wan go house go dey find job around
