I've been a bit away for while because of project activities and other stuffs I'm handling outside Domaining so had little time to participate or focus on the industry activities that much.

On the sale of rejuvida that is a bit rare sale for a name with such combo because, "Vida" means life in Spanish and Portuguese and doesn't go well with most words, I guess the synergy between the prefix "Reju" which relates to "Rejuvenate" and "Vida" or "Life" made me pick up the name.


To summarize how the market have been so far, it's been pretty slow year majorly because of the pandemic effect and a slow progression in recovery by all sectors of global economy, hence most marketplaces have been dead for me this year, Afternic have been non-existent for me all year long probably because of alot of changes going on there this year and also because of my portfolio price increase there at the beginning th year with just 2 sales all year long, Dan have been pretty average too with just a Sale more than Afternic for me and with a portfolio of over a 1000 names listed names in both platforms, Squadhelp have been slow but pretty okay for me with roughly 7 sales this year with a current portfolio of 400 premium names.
BrandBucket have been overly ineffective for me all year long with just 1 sale there and over 120 names.
Brandpa have been under achieving with 0 sales in the past 18 months with just 23 names.
Just joined the new brand marketplace Alter and can't make much about them although currently owns around 200 names there and it's been 2 months there but nothing serious other than a lucky $700 sale for a name that was originally listed for $2000 but sale came as a make offer which I accepted... So can't make much of that.

So far so good is been a pretty unusual year with a mix of different factors influencing the market, but in all I give all the Glory to God who has been faithful.

Go to your marketplace dashboard (where you have those stats about your number of domains, views, Shortlists and approval rating),then scroll down......You will see it after those leaderboards. Will advise you to visit McCain's thread on SH to get more insight about the platform

Try adding the card as one of your payment option instead of inputing the card details when trying to checkout.... that's how I got my card to work (zenith tho)

The buyer wanted transfer and domain was locked at NetSol , na there wahala start. anyway lost story short, SH came to the rescue.

Same happened to me and I sold the domain 1week later(on Friday) for $400 (more than 2x the agreed price)....just move on,reset the price and continue your outbound

I pitched the singular of a domain to an end user, we agreed on price and told me to give him an hour to make to the purchase. 1hour became 24 hours and then 48 hours. I followed up and asked why he hasn't proceeded with payment, he gave me some unconnected response and backed out. Little did I know that he's gone to register the plural for 5 years and has redirected it to his main site.

Nothing special. He priced the domain at $4,888 mainly because he knew the true value of the name but if you were the owner of that domain, you would most probably price it at maybe $200. So, the end user can't buy it from you at his own price of $4,888 when what he/she is seeing from your outbound is $200.

Why is it not a special sale?
You might see your post as an eye-opener but it seems to be very confusing to a newbie like me.Have you sold a Geo domain for a price close to this before?....Do you have more details about this particular sale e.g if it was sold through outbound or where it got sold so we newbies can learn instead of making it seem like we are doing giveaways with our domains(even some oldies dey this table )and lastly how do we know the "true value" of our domains because looking at the past sales of domains with the word "Funeral home" Recorded on namebio only seven sold for above 1k,only three are Geo's and this particular domain sold last year for $110(maybe to the recent seller)?

To be on the safer side I think using indigenous people day will be more profitable than using Columbus day because of the controversies and political issues surrounding the latter or better still outbound with the normal follow up letter with a discounted price(whether the state celebrates it or not)

SH has really been calming me down lately....when i joined last month,SH seemed so easy after 2 names,my limits increased to 10(i didnt even know when it increased to 5,was thinking SH will send me a notification that my limit has been increased)...Oboy,i was feeling fly(in my mind this thing simple na)....sharperly droped 8 to the two under pending review and the next morning i saw all the names chilling in the rejected section.That was the beginning of the drought oo,from 10 to 5,then 3(i was really pained sha and lost confidence).Just yesterday,one of my names got accepted bringing the drought to an end and limit rose to 5.
i noticed if your acceptance rate is above 6%...limit should be 5(still observing sha).keep pushing guys and lets be calming down,God no go shame us.
