Politics / Re: Electricity Tariff Will Come Down Same Way SIM Cards, Phones Did - Adelabu by alizma: 9:32pm On May 24
That is the same thing I have been saying. Rather than complain of the high tariff, Nigerians should demand for prepaid metre for all house, over time, the tariff will come down

Nukilia:
The APC in Kano State are in a confused state now...
Not just in Kano because as long as ganduje remains in APC, Sanusi will do everything possible to strip him off anything that can make him relevant in the north, that is if possible, he will make sure APC have nothing in the north that will uphold Ganduje's political relevance to APC. and you know what that means for APC

Svoboda:
The 27 clowns who came up on live tv to announce their defection to the apc, while waving apc flags are now denying their defection. What were they doing with the apc flags, which are optical evidence of support and membership of a political party.
Only PDP have the right to be angry over that action of theirs.
This is politics playing out

Wike will soon go to extinction in rivers politics ...relegate him to the back seat...he is a double standard man and he is not fit to be a leader
Do you understand the passage at all? These 27 guys are like guys and PDP is now saying these guys are still their members even as they are loyal to wike.

The authority should look into their welfare. As much as I do not support them stealing but when the number of those falling into the temptation is becoming increasing, it's a signal that something is wrong with their take home.

That is what happens when you insult all the elders in your community and call them useless, a day will come when all you need is an elder to speak on your behalf.
Dantata visited Tinubu yesterday, Kyari get bail today. Do the mathematics

Obi cannot even win primaries in PDP.

How can someone who expects to be given the parties ticket for free, win general elections ?

Delusional candidate !!

Labor party primaries and PDP primaries no be the same thing !!!
Labour party primary was an arrangement in his favour and that will not likely happen in PDP. Wanting everything for free as if that is how easy politics is.

The journalist just succeeded in confusing you. The person that was killed in Abia is different from the person those money were spent on. Go back and read again before you will say WAEC gave you f9.

Politics / Re: This Is Why Discos Are Reluctant To Install Prepaid Meters. by alizma: 4:13pm On May 17
jmoore:
I stay in Aba. The hype that came with the commissioning of geometric has not lived up to expectation. Only few areas who are in the minority are enjoying regular power supply from geometric power station while the rest are under epileptic supply sourced via TCN.

About two weeks I went to a place near Ngwa road, Ogwo road, I noticed that Aba power has started free mass metering in areas that have been connected to geometric.

My observation is that DISCOs will not generate much revenue if all customers have prepaid meters when the power is epileptic and insufficent. They prefer estimated billing, because they can generate revenue for supplying darkness. But if power is sufficient and stable, they will do free mass metering to generate much revenue.

There are 3 shops in our compound that share a prepaid meter. About a month ago, their balance was 4.10kwh. The credit has not exhausted because of poor supply. If it was estimated bill, they would have spent 10,000 in just 2 months.
Discos are not supposed to be the people installing metres, they are happy with estimated bill so they are not willing to install prepaid metre.

He made him a governor doesn't mean that he will follow him for the rest of his life. If Aregbesola has found another direction to his destination in life, all I ask is that he should follow it peacefully without bitterness.
Career / Re: Why You Should Never Pay Your Workers In Advance (pics) by alizma: 9:04pm On May 14
NeckingNgulping:

When the worker stupidly fails to fulfill his own part of the deal/ agreement, only then will the job owner look stupid.

I understand your perspective, though.
One thing I have understand about life is, never allow someone else to decide who you are. So waiting for the worker to do the job and make you a wise man or fail to make you stupid is a clear violation of that which I said I have known about life.
Career / Re: Why You Should Never Pay Your Workers In Advance (pics) by alizma: 7:32pm On May 14
NeckingNgulping:
It's only a stupid worker that would behave this way. Good ones don't behave like this.

You should be happy he paid all, so it can be well utilized.
The reverse is actually the case, it is stupidity to pay in full upfront when the work is yet to be done, except where the term of agreement said so and you have no alternative.

The moment you tell me you paid in full before the work commences, I become careful when it comes to trusting you with valuable things. This is not because you are bad but because you still lack significant knowledge of what real life is all about. This is not the time to become emotional, this is money we are talking about and in real life, no single individual will tell you that he likes working for working sake. People work basically in exchange for something in view and once that thing (money or commodity) is no longer in view, working becomes a kind of punishment or even consider a kind of 21st century slavery.

SoNature:

Nobody should be spending money looking for oil in the north; northern Nigeria has no oil in commercial quantities. Instead, Nigeria should search for oil and gas in the Niger Delta region and invest more in northern cash crops to reduce the prices of food in the market and export to other countries.

https://leadership.ng/16-months-after-flag-off-fg-halts-kolmani-oil-drilling/
If great countries like Russia and UK just noticed the presence of oil in Antarctica that should tell you that nothing is impossible because that research didn't start today.

Leaders of rich countries are investing in exploration, research and innovation to get richer while the leaders of broke countries are looting the little they have to invest in rich countries.
When Buhari was searching for oil, many Nigerians called it a waste but now that a country has found oil, Nigerians will blame their government for not investing enough in research. My people, I hail una
