Thanks for the response. Please, you didn't mention when he/she arrived in CANADA. I need that information to contextualize my final decision on this matter. Again thanks.

Re: POF
Is this about the new visitor visa application portal? If so, I suggest you merge it with another set of documents and upload together. I am not familiar with this portal but that's what I would do if it is me.

Cheers.

Alright thanks. It’s on the old portal. Or is it because it’s an application from inside Canada? He entered yesterday 18th

Hi,

I don't think there is any timeline for that. But considering your spouse has 6-months maximum to stay technically at once on visitor visa, I think the earlier the better.

But I have an URGENT question. Please, when did your spouse enter? Did your spouse request and received written travel restriction exemption authorization?

Thanks.

No he didn’t request a written authorization and no one requested that from him either. The only thing they asked was Arrive Can receipt. We have tried checking the requirement but there is no space to attach POF is this normal?

My spouse entered with a visitor visa. What is the right time to submit application for SOWP from inside Canada?

Is very important because u mentioned ur siblings on ir family form u filled, u need to provide evidence dat ur siblings and she's ur mother. Maybe u can send them through webform

Not in all case necessary. I listed all 7 siblings without adding their birth certificates or passport data page as well as my parents. I only uploaded that of my spouse and children and got approval.

My flight to Canada is Saturday 24th and I got email from IRCC this night stating that my medical exam results are expired so I cannot travel to Canada till I get another one done. I have explained to Qlife and promise they would handle it for me today by 12.
There might be no time to upload the medicals and get my profile updated before my flight time. It’s a nonrefundable ticket, 3 days airport quarantine and further Airbnb 11 night all non refundable. Is it advisable to travel with the confirmation stating today’s date that I have done the medicals? Has anyone been in this scenario??

Given that you've completed a semester in Nigeria, its highly recommended that you should reapply as soon as possible so that your children would accompany you to Canada. A visa that will last until the duration of your program would be granted to your accompanying dependents.

It will end in praise

@ Frankrobbn1 as advised I reapplied immediately and got their approval within 7 days. I applied for an authorization for travel exemption the same day I submitted the application and on the 7th day I got all update and PPR. Thanks aplenty. Sorry I was trying to quote the right reply and ended up reposting this. Haven’t been able to delete the other ones.

A lot of times submitting files incorrectly unavoidably leads to denial. Its highly advisable that you review your file 3 to 4 times to avoid mistakes that could lead to refusal prior to the application submission. Now, that you've figured out that there was fault in the arrangement of the documents. You can reapply with a persuasive LOE and tackle the concerns raised by the visa officer.

By the way, what's the length of your program in Canada?, I can see that the visa officer has expressed concerns about the length of your childrens stay in Canada. Please be advised that Travel History, is not a stand-alone reason, it will be waived if you're able to overcome other refusal reasons. Include more documents in this present application to show your family is well-established, documents like landed properties, investments, valuation report of a building, and a registered business etc must suffice in the application. Explain how these properties would induce your family's return home after studies in Canada.

Should you've other questions, don't hesitate to ask them here.

Thanks @ Frankrobbn1 as mentioned, I read through the LOE I submitted and noticed that I submitted the wrong one. It was as a result of the very many attempts to reduce the files.
I have valued my property and would link that to getting a strong ties. It’s a 2 years program with first semester almost completed.

Greetings to the gurus and all well-meaning contributors to this forum.

I made a mistake with my children application and I feel it resulted to the delay in their visa.

I got a study permit to start the winter class and after getting my visa, I applied for my children that they would now travel with me. Although I had just 2 when I submitted my application last year, I have had another baby before my visa approval. So, I applied for all 3.

The reason being that when I applied, there was no covid so I used that as a reason and also added that the children were still young 6yrs, 4yrs and 4 months.
Long story short, they requested for their medicals which was updated to pass 3 days after medicals. 5 days later I received their refusals with the reason below:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada.

Except for my little baby, others have visited the shenghen zone with their visa, UK, Dubai, Kenya, South Africa and presently have 2 years UK visa. Although they have had US visa refusals which was acknowledged.

I went back to the LOE I submitted and noticed that I submitted a wrong LOE. I submitted the one I wrote with my spouse joining the trip. But he vehemently refused because of his new contract and said he would only consider visiting when he is through with his current contract with no date in view. I am wondering if the contradicting LOE with his details and his letter of sponsorship raised the VO’s concern for the refusal.

I really want to travel with my kids because he won’t be on ground to care for them. I wanted to send in the application again with the updated LOE and another letter addressing the VO’s concern but someone referred me to Nairaland. Please you all should give your advice.
