Education / OSCOTECH Finally Reverse The Decision Of Hike In Tuition - Onlyschoolgist.com by allschoolinfo(m): 1:30pm On Apr 23, 2016
In a society where reaction is absent to not-well policies, Silence is considered to be a crime. We carefully watched, strived, and again proved our worth as diplomats.

The state government of Osun under the leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his attainment of office make it a pledge to make education affordable for the masses. We were exclaimed to welcome school fee increment by the management of the State College of Technology, Esa-Oke at this time of economic meltdown.

Restlessness have taken over the State secretariat of NANS following the immediate shutdown of OSCOTECH. We are however glad on our Victory as we mark another achievement alongside the SOUTH-WEST zone of NANS through the P.R.O of the Zone, Comrade Awowole Samuel.

We of Osun NANS/JCC are compelled to trooped out on wednesday 20-04-2016 as reaction to the action of OSCOTECH management. We move and strive on consultations with different personalities.

We met with the management alongside Director of SSS where compromise was reached. It is our honour and privilege to tell the entire Students of OSCOTECH that we make the struggle a WIN-WIN.

The hiked school fee (#25,000 to #40,000) has been reverse.

The newly introduced Practical fee of #10,000 has been cancelled.

Our dissolved member union will be reinstated immediately the school is reopen and No students union leader will be victimise
NANS/JCC Osun Axis under the leadership of Comrade 'Adekitan Lukman' appreciate, respect and recognise the contributions of all progressives that rendered assistance in this 3-week course. We on a clear note appreciate the role played by the State Director of SSS, the state Commissioner for Police and his assistant. To all combatants who did not in the course of this struggle turn political "Halleluyah Boys", May Our ways be rough!

The maturity displayed by the Rector and the management team of this school on negotiation table is much respect.

However, We are on the motive of ensuring a better atmosphere for tertiary education in the state of Osun as we plead to other Osun owned-tertiary institution to stay away from any attempt to hike or introduce any ungodly fee in these campuses. Education is a right and not a privilege. It should be affordable.

Education / What To Bring Along When Going For JAMB Exam 2016 by allschoolinfo(m): 6:47pm On Feb 25, 2016
What to bring along when going for JAMB Exam 2016

So we tried to make a list of what you should take to the JAMB exam Hall for your coming Exam, which starts on 27th Feb, 2016.

Yes, this is how we give out information so try to note our website, www.oscobase.com for minute by minute update.

By now, every candidate knows that the exam is completely Computer Based Test (CBT) so it is expected that you at least know how to use a computer mouse and how to click on things on your screen. It is very similar to tapping a link on your phone but this time, you will be tapping the left button on the mouse.

Please ensure you have at least 3 practice session with a computer system before your exam day. You can try practicing our free JAMB past questions when on a computer because our CBT environment is similar to what you can expect on the actual exam day.

Please note that, according to JAMB, you are not required to take any other item apart from what we are listing for you below;

As for the list of items you are required to take to the exam hall and what you should take note of, they are as follows;

1. You need at least 2 printed copies of your JAMB exam slip. You will be required to submit one (1) of the slips to the invigilator. You will keep the other one for your own reference. If you have still not printed your JAMB Exam Slip, please click here for procedures

2. You need a Biro. We believe this is used for your rough work, especially for candidates dealing with calculation subjects.

3. Please ensure Your Biometric (Thumbprints) Verification is done at the examination centre because it is COMPULSORY. If it is not done, ask for it.

4. If you miss your Schedule (Exam Date and TIME), you forfeit the right to sit for the Examination.

5. BAGS, MOBILE PHONES, CALCULATORS AND OTHER ELECTRONIC
DEVICES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE EXAMINATION CENTRE FOR
SECURITY REASONS.

Please note that not everyone around the exam centre came to write the exam on that day so if you take your mobile phones or bags to the exam hall, it may get stolen on that day.

Always keep an eye on your stuff, even while people are going to submit their papers. Some are very good at stealing.

If you think we missed a point, feel free to add using the comment box.

At this point, we are totally out of options on the normal way to check the JAMB Exam Slip for 2016 UTME candidates.

We at Onlyschoolgist Place, have volunteered to help candidates check and confirm their exam centre, date and time but the JAMB Portal for Checking Exam Slip won’t just open. We’ve even started suspecting this issue is coming from our end. We even waited till 2:00AM to see if the issue will be resolved but to no avail.

We’ve even started suspecting this issue is coming from our end. We even waited till 2:00AM to see if the issue will be resolved but to no avail.

The only procedure we have about How to reprint your JAMB Exam Slip for 2016 UTME has already been posted HERE.

Despite our issues with the JAMB portal, we still see some smart candidates are able to help others check their exam details, and we truly appreciate their effort.

The implication of these candidates not being able to check their exam details (or else JAMB doubles their effort to make it available) means they may miss their exams, of which it is entirely NOT THEIR FAULT.

We at Onlyschoolgist.com Volunteer to check your own date and time and also a place of your exam for you. You can leave your REG NO by commenting on this thread along with your email so that we can forward your pdf format.

NYSC / Scam Alert: NYSC Fraud Alert – Beware Of ‘scam Artists’ by allschoolinfo(m): 11:50pm On Feb 15, 2016
National Youth Service Corps, NYSC fraud alert to prospective Corps members. PCM are warned not to make payments for posting or change of posting.

The attention of the NYSC Management has been drawn to the activities of some hackers sending messages requesting prospective Corps members to go and check their states of deployment online.

They refer their victims to a link and ask them to enter their login details as well as choices made during their online registration.

Management wishes to inform prospective Corps members that posting to states of deployment has not commenced; but will be done at the appropriate time in line with our laid down processes.

The so-called “link” being sent to prospective Corps members is handiwork of cyber criminals and should, therefore, be disregarded.

Prospective Corps members are particularly warned not to make payments for posting or change of posting as that is clearly the motive of the cyber criminals.

Management will inform prospective Corps members as soon as their posting letters are ready for printing online or delivery to their various institutions of graduation.

While assuring the public that the situation is fully under control, we shall continue to take measures to safeguard the integrity of the Mobilization process.
