The tracking number is on the 'official acknowledgement/tax invoice' receipt,

Have you gotten your visa yet?

I used it, but didn't work

If you're not vaccinated and coming from a non designated country like Nigeria, you have to observe self quarantine, which you can leave after the fifth day if result is negative.

Please do the needful and check the link sent already

Fwaves:

Thanks for your reply. So a situation where I haven’t been vaccinated and would need to quarantine for 14 days, and as regards my previous question on staying at a friend’s when I arrive, will it be fine to put my friend’s address on the passenger locator form and if I’m asked, would it be alright to mention that I’ll be staying at a friend’s.

Same with me, it kept saying no record found.
Someone should guide in how to track.

I used that reference number on the VFS booking slip IREXXXX...

Iamdoyin:
Hello guys I need your help. I submitted my application on the 5th of July and I have tried tracking my application but it says no result found. Can anyone help me out.

I will answer the question on English language.

I took the Duolingo test also and I didn't make any hard preparation, and I got 140/160. You just need to know the type of questions they do ask. Just take the practice test a couple of times and you're good to go. I trust you will get more that 75/160.
You can pay using your Naira debit card, just $49.
Goodluck

Yasiin:
Hello guys,

I got an offer from Griffith College sometime last month and by this week my tuition fees should be paid in full by my sponsor's bank.

Apparently, the next logical step for me is my visa application. However, I have some questions:

- Is it too late to apply for a visa? It takes an average of 6 - 8 weeks for visa processing and my programme starts on the 20th of September.

- After skimming through this thread, it is evident that accommodation is one of the major challenges faced by every prospective student (especially those opting to study in Dublin). Staying in one of the halls of residence provided by Griffith College seems like an expensive option. Also, staying within Dublin City Center is yet another expensive option. I have looked at the map of Ireland and I found out that there are suburbs scattered around Dublin. These places are highlighted on the map attached to this post. Is it feasible to live in any of these highlighted areas and commute to school via train? Which of these options is my best bet - school accommodation, accommodation within Dublin, or highlighted suburbs?

- Can I use my naira debit card (our everyday ATM card) to pay for my medical insurance on studyandprotect.com?

- I was oblivious of the fact that the Irish Embassy requires proof of English Language proficiency and no applicant is exempted from this. Since I require one urgently, how feasible is it to prepare for and take the Duolingo English Test within 3 - 5 days? Can my naira debit card be used to pay for the test?

- Will the services of an agent make the visa application process less stressful for me?

Thanks for your anticipated answers and contributions.

Hello.. for the bus, I believe (aircoach - name of a company) and other bus service companies do take cash. If the train, you will use cash to purchase ticket at the station. On whether you can enter the bus without vaccination, I am not sure what the rule is for people coming from abroad; but I believe it should fly. Especially as you can’t quarantine until you get to your final destination. I hope this helps. Cheers.

Wonderful! This is helpful indeed.
Thank you

Wow, thanks.
Do they accept cash?
Will I be allowed to travel to Cork from Dublin even though I am not vaccinated. O would need to self quarantine in my room in Cork.

How possible

niyogeol:
Yes. There is train to Cork as well as coaches (buses). The later is cheaper.

Hello. I want to go to Cork, but flights seems too expensive.
The flight to Dublin seems cheaper. What should I do please. Can I land in Dublin, is there any reliable transportation to Cork from Dublin?

DammyDurst:
One would also be required to provide a 14 days booking reservation (covid-19 requirement). This can be done on booking.com.

PS: Don't put any money on the card you'd be using to reserve your accommodation. You can always cancel for cheaper accommodation options later upon a successful visa application.

I have received my full shots, how do I do it. Do I still need to quarantine?
I think the details of accommodation needed is for those under 18 years, correct me if I am wrong.
Please someone should clarify

What if I am on a fully funded scholarship?
Still need bank statement. And someone was saying it was mentioned on their website, can anyone help with the link please

Dwebb55:

Irrespective, you have to state and explain everything. I believe you would have stated somewhere that you were working. If that's the case, then you have to show your salary payments, whether regular or not. You can explain why it is irregular on the explanation for your statement of account. Even over here, there are people who do get paid on when they work and I don't think it is out if place. To assume that they will not deem it necessary is wrong. Ireland VO's are picky, especially when it comes to funds. Your bank statements reveal a lot of information to them which is why they require it.

Payslips and bank statement.
I never tot this one is needed cos I'm not Sponsoring myself. And my sponsor is a UK based doctor and I provided them all his documents

Is this necessary?
Since you're being sponsored.

What if I have a scholarship, must I provide bank statement. I am working, but not paid on a monthly basis, just if the company gets work, we get paid.

URGENT

mike1ab:
Hello everyone.

I applied for Ireland study visa on June 9th, and I just received a call from a UPS delivery guy saying he will bring me my documents tomorrow. But I am yet to receive any email from Vfs or the embassy with regards to the decision that's been taken on my visa application.

I have also checked the website where the weekly decision reports are normally published and mine hasn't been published yet, it will most likely be uploaded on Monday.

I'd like to know if me not getting an email from vfs / the embassy is a normal occurrence.

Thanks.

Cork is expensive. I think accommodation in Cork is more expensive than in Dublin

seunny4lif:

Dublin is expensive oooh but that’s doesn’t mean that you will sleep outside grin grin
Jobs dey but COVID things affected a lot of businesses
It’s one of the most expensive city in Europe
But if you are not coming to Dublin then you are good.
Generally Ireland is layback country and easy going.
COVID don make all of us gentle grin grin
Drinks are expensive here compared to Germany

You don't need NECO to go for postgraduate program. Ir do we need it?

Fausty01:
Hello everyone,

I sent my Sister to help me collect my NECO certificate from my school and noticed there was a mistake in my name. An unknown initial was added.
She then visited NECO board in Enugu and they said that to reprint a certificate takes time. I'm going for a postgraduate degree program.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Can you please advise on how I can work around this. I'm literally stocked with moving forward at the moment.

Thanks all.

I will ne applying for visa.
1. How do I show evidence of gaps in educational history.

2. Must I also submit degree certificate or transcript or both. And do I include WAEC among evidence of ability to follow the chosen course?

Thanks
