Somebody will comment his own opinion jeje, then one unfortunate soul will come and attack him. Why won’t we be cussing each other? People should learn to reply without insulting especially when the comment you’re responding to is not an insult. 1 Like |

Ayotemide: Now you’re just being irrational. Every structure has a maximum load it can carry. If it is loaded with more than that it will fail/collapse. That is all the guy said. I guess you didn’t understand that’s why you lashed out at him. Example 1: No matter how sturdy your dining table at home is, it cannot carry the weight of an elephant. It doesn’t mean the table wasn’t well made. It just means the table was not made to carry that amount of load. |

You’re thinking too hard. The fact that she is interested in you is a good sign. It means you don’t have to seek to control her. Where is the joy in controlling a lover anyway? Some people may object though. You are enough for her. Seek to improve yourself, for yourself. That alone is attractive to her. Do not compete with her. You would end being obnoxious and may lose her at the end. “Hold your side” and you will be fine. If you are one of those guys who believe a man must always be richer than his babe, then you have no business dating her. Let her go cos your ego will get in the way, eventually. 2 Likes |

ADRIAN88: Hello hater. Perhaps I should abase myself to humour you with a reply. There is nothing wrong with her trying to be like Beyoncé, even though that is not the case at all. Beyoncé is an Icon. Besides, the very same Beyoncé knows and values Tiwa enough to have featured her on her most recent, soon-to-be bestselling album of all time. Who are you? And who is trying to be like you? Your guess is as good as mine. Nobody. Not even the lowliest. That’s right. Hustle, so you can express criticism that would make important people quake. Now swerve. 5 Likes |

darfay: There are other devout Muslims wearing the proper uniform. If she felt the mandatory service conflicted with the tenets of her faith, she should have opted out. The uniform will not change. The NYSC was not created to disrespect her religion. She should respect her country and dress properly. 5 Likes |

chiagozien: Read what you wrote. Are you not ashamed? Some of you come online to post bigotry as if you don’t have any friend from other ethnic groups. Maybe you schooled in your home state and have worked there all this while but it’s impossible for you not to have met anyone from another tribe that could be a friend. Well, unless you were raised to be a diehard bigot. Not implausible from what you’ve written though. 3 Likes 1 Share |

If it is established that she lied with malicious intent, she should spend a few years in jail to get a taste of the life she set the man up for. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. Rape is a crime but false rape allegations isn’t. It’s regarded as a civil offence. The worst the man (victim) can do is sue her for defamation. Even then, people will bully the victim into forgiving the liar or asking for an apology. Funny that we can criminalise tax evasion but not false rape allegations. |

There is a world of difference between protest and revolution. What is worrisome is that a contender for the presidency is spearheading this revolution. There is no country in this world that would receive a threat (a plan in this case) to revolt and do nothing. |

Not true. What that means is you have a 1/4 chance of having an AA baby, every time your wife gets pregnant. Same chance with SS. But you have a slightly higher chance (2 in 4) of having an AS baby for every pregnancy. My advice? Break up. Managing SS is not easy or cheap. Medical procedures to alter the genes are experimental and not cheap as well. Abort mission. 4 Likes |

khiaa: Ignorance per se is not sad but in your case, it is really tragic. Why? ‘Cause you tried to be savage about something you knew next to nothing about. Like I said earlier, you should travel more. Use the internet for reasonable purposes like learning how big and diverse this world is. You shouldn’t be so proud to show the world how ignorant you are. ![]() |

Chi59: Lol. Do you even know the meaning of “Curt”? Look here darling, I’m not in the mood for any brawl. You were rude and he gave you a taste of your own medicine and somehow you found it hard to swallow. That’s your problem. And why do you think I’m older or “higher” (whatever that means) than the rest? The rest what? Perhaps you observed that I don’t respond like a number of juveniles who entertain you here. Perhaps you should not be too quick to give terse replies. Perhaps you should be open minded. 1 Like |

Some beautiful comments here. I love threads like this cos we get to discuss helpful issues. I would like to contribute but I am putting a twist on it. Sometimes, cases like this one are not about choosing the wrong career or form of schooling. Sometimes it’s sheer laziness on the part of those kids. I believe every little child is pliable. You can mould them into what you desire. And yes, parents have a big say in the careers of their children. My dad was a very successful and respected Professional in his field before he retired, but he still insists he doesn’t feel fulfilled and that he should have studied another course, because he has such an easy flair in it (he tried his hands at the basics and wowed us all). I have no doubt he would have been successful in that course as well, and you know why? He has an excellent work ethic. Regardless of the chosen field, every child must be encouraged to work hard (esp. mentally) and sleep less. There is a reason your successful bosses look like tireless machines, who only want you to work, work and work, like they do. That’s how they got to the top. “That’s how star do.” ![]() Elon Musk said in an interview that sometimes he worked 80 hour weeks! That’s crazy! But that’s passion too. I’m not going to do that to myself anyway- at least not in my field. That’s going to take a huge toll on every member of the team. One of the most difficult fields of study is music (composing for and playing instruments). To become a legend, you need a lot more than just talent. In fact, talent only helps you knock on the door. Hard and smart work gets you in. Most (if not all) of the “greats” spent long hours practicing relevant exercises, honing their skills. That is work ethic. You might argue that Davido and Wizkid (who are singers, by the way) don’t go through all of that but if you knew the hours they put in gruelling, strategic work, you’d salute them. If a kid is lazy, she would most likely fail in ANY field. Well, I shouldn’t really blame many people in Naija especially those in Lagos for not being among the top skilled innovators in the world. “Go slow” is really debilitating. They just want to take a bath and sleep when they get home after the mad traffic. Hardly any time for personal development. ![]() 4 Likes 2 Shares |
