Properties / Re: Can 25 Million Naira Build This? by alvan06(m): 4:28pm On Dec 27, 2023
naijapips04:

The best thing I've read this year. Aside status, owning a house is not a good investment. For a struggling guy, grow the shit out of that 25m. 25m in a good business should give us at least 70m in a year. Rent and grow this. In , 4 years, use the residual income to buy a house. Don't go and dump all your life savings in a house.
what kind of investment can one genuinely invest that kind of money in Nigeria please advise.

Your assumption is flawed, and you are not close to anyone abroad ,let me tell you those who live in that bracket you mentioned paying such rent do not pay any utility bills its all-inclusive as they rent rooms in a shared accommodation, the next thing they pay for is t fare to work and feeding.
no i live abroad myself,I pay 650€ monthly for 2 bedroom apartment and my condominium is 170€ although my light and gas is bill come every two months which is around €320 or more depending on the usage, all am saying is that if in Nigeria we have electricity and security bros I’ll comfortable prefer staying in Nigeria with less than 400k monthly.

lol

people with N500,000 naira in their account are better than a lot of people abroad.

you see that line above? the rich have used it so many times to supress the poor from making any tangible advancement out of poverty (Nigeria).

500k would pay an average rent per month in the western world.
500k would pay average annual rent in Lagos
so how is a poor person in Lagos better off ?

let say you earn €1600 monthly and you pay 400 to 600€ rent a month then gas, water ,condominium will surely take up to €300 think of feeding fuel ⛽️ or tickets to work before you feed them family and friends who now thinks that you live in heaven will be frowning with that you’re not sending something o,bros the only difference between Nigeria and abroad is security, electricity and maybe freedom.

Home service is very common in PH.

Is it possible to do business in Bayelsa with only online transfers?

The only way he can control the flow of money is if all money is digital. If cash is changing hands, he will have little control.

My understanding is that the margin is not huge, are you sure he will have enough money left over after staff costs to recoup his investment in less than a year?

another aspect to consider sha, actually he is setting up this business for his sister with a little supervision over the business, the concern is getting information on how to start the business and everything involved
