OJ Simpson, the former American football star, and a double murder suspect has been released on parole after nine years behind bars for an armed robbery in Las Vegas.

Now 70 years old, Simpson, spent 8½ years in prison for an armed confrontation with two sports memorabilia traders in 2007, in a Las Vegas hotel room.

He was sentenced to 33 years in a Nevada prison in Lovelock but won a parole plea in July due to good behavior and other credits earned in custody.

Brooke Keast, Nevada state prisons spokeswoman told The Associated Press that Simpson was released early today, Sunday, October 1st. She says she does not know who picked up Simpson after his release and does not know where he was immediately headed in his first hours of freedom.

A Chinese tour guide has been sent back to China after he took a busload of Chinese tourists to the Grenfell Tower fire site which saw about 80 people dead.His actions sparked outrage as the tourists were seen taking pictures of Grenfell Tower.

Mercy Ameh, a 33-year –old woman has bagged a three-year sentence in jail without an option of fine.She was arrested for stealing clothes at Aswani Market in Lagos state.

A diver has been attacked by a small shark as he went looking for lobsters in Marthon, Florida.He had to remove the shark from his stomach by killing it with a knife after the shark latched onto him while in the water.

A South African cannibal who was caught eating a woman he beheaded has died after police shot him.
23-year-old Aphiwe Mapekula, passed out in a hail of bullets to his arm, leg, and stomach when police officers tried arresting him in his home.

Kwaseve Fagal, a 38-year-old woman said the reason she decided to kill her newborn baby boy without blinking or thinking about the act a second time is that she wanted to become rich overnight.

Mrs. Kwaseve Fagal, who comes from Gakerko village, hardworking Keana Local Government Area, Nassarawa State, said that she had been worried over her husband’s inability to come out of poverty despite the fact that they struggle daily to make ends meet.

According to Kwaseve, instead of things to get better through their daily struggle and hard work, their situation instead worsened to the point that they are unable to put food on the table. She said sometimes, that her family stayed for days without any food to eat, and this made her slip into emotional despair.

She made this known while been paraded by the Police at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nasarawa State police command.

While confessing to her crime, Mrs. Kwaseve Fagal said Life had become very difficult for her husband and herself, to the point that having food daily was a problem, not to talk about taking care of the two children they already had.She said the children were not feeding properly and they go hungry for days because we don’t have money to purchase food.

Further speaking, she added that though they are farmers, things didn’t just work well for them. That was why she consented to kill her son when a herbalist in their community, Alhaji Abass Loko, who is from Kaduna State approached her with the promise of lifting the burden of poverty.

Kwaseve said she was six months pregnant whenthe said Alhaji offered her help, and she happily grabbed it, even though the price was her unborn child.

The State Police Commissioner, Abubakar Sadiq-Bello, while at a briefing, said on the 14th of August, 2017, the accused who had nursed her full-term pregnancy, delivered a baby boy at her home, but the excitement of the father of the child Mr. Paul Fagal, who is aged 40, was short-lived.

The couple, who are peasant farmers, had had two children previously in their 14 years of being married, the birth of the baby lifted the spirit the father who has been struggling to take care of his family for years.

Paul did not know that his wife had not been taking their years of turmoil lightly and was about dining with the devil to ‘assist’ her husband in getting out of poverty.

Based on the instruction of Alhaji Abass the herbalist, Kwaseve secretly carried the newborn baby to a secluded part of the village after birth and murdered him.She then put his blood in a clay pot and dumped the body into a nearby stream.

Trouble started when the sudden disappearance of the infant aroused tension in the community.

32-year-old William Hoehn, charged in the murder of a pregnant woman Savanna Greywind has denied any involvement in the killing of Savanna as he claims he came home to meet his girlfriend mopping up blood in their bathroom before she gave him a newborn baby girl.
The remains of the deceased 22-year-old Savanna Greywind was discovered wrapped in plastic bag and duct tape in the Red River in North Dakota, in the USA on Sunday.

Before Savanna was declared missing on August 19th, she was eight months pregnant.She disappeared after she went visiting her neighbor Brooke Lynn Crews.

Miss Crews who is 38 years old, and her boyfriend William Hoehn( 32) was charged over the death of Savanna on Monday after her body was discovered.

The pair had previously been detained after a two-day-old baby, who is believed to be the daughter of the deceased, was found in their home.

William had told the police that he arrived home to their bloodied flat on August 19 and claimed his girlfriend Crews gave him a the new born baby girl while saying the baby was theirs, and this was their family.

He added that he took garbage bags which contained bloody shoes as well as his bloody towels and then disposed them away from their apartment complex, court documents say.

However, William’s girlfriend Crews gave another version as to what transpired on that fateful day.
Crews had initially told the cops that Savanna had given up her baby before later admitting she took advantage of the pregnant woman in an obvious attempt to take her baby, and possibly keep the baby as hers.

Court documents filed say, Ms.Crews confessed to the police she had arranged to have Savanna come over to her home on August 19 and told her how labor could be induced.

Crews further said that Greywind came back about two days later to give her the newborn baby.
Savanna’s body wrapped in a plastic and duct tape was found floating in the Red River Sunday evening by two kayakers.

The remains of a 16-year-old girl have been found in a burn pit after being allegedly murdered by her biological mother who had abused her severely in the months preceding her death.

Police authorities on Monday confirmed that burnt human bones found on a property in rural Missouri belonged to the teenager Savannah Leckie who was earlier declared missing.

In the build up to Savannah's death, Police say Rebecca had taken to extreme forms of punishment to discipline her the deceased.


A criminal complaint shows Rebecca forced the 16-year-old to roll in a hog pen on at least one occasion and wade into a muddy pond and dunk under. And also used a water hose on Savannah.

Rebecca also told authorities that the late Savannah had once deliberately cut her own arm in a suicide attempt, the complaint said. In order to punish her, Rebecca poured salt and alcohol on the injury twice daily.

As a form of punishment, Rebbeca is also accused of smashing Savannah's cell phone and stopped her from using Facebook, the complaint stated.She admits she made her daughter take off her underwear so she could spank her on her bare bottom.
The Police are still not clear on how Savannah was murdered but they believe she was killed on or around July 18 at Ruud's house.

Her body was discovered on August 4th when police searched Ruud's 81-acre farm property.
Police found fragments of bone, two finger bones that were intact, a large vertebra bone and several items that appeared to be teeth when they sifted through ash in a burn pit on the property.

Forensic testing, as well as other evidence, confirmed the remains belonged to Savannah.The Police confiscated a knife, meat grinder and bottles of lye which could be used to hasten the breakdown of human tissue at Rebecca’s property.

An Ogun State couple, Mr Nasiru Adeyemo and his wife, Idayat, has been detained by men of the Ogun State Police Command for attempting to use their 7-year-old daughter, Abibat for ritual purpose.The child is Idayat's stepdaughter.
