Politics / “People Blame Me For My Father’s Actions,” - Buhari’s Daughter, Zahra Laments by amebogistng(m): 9:30am On Dec 01, 2019
President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Zahra Indimi, has lamented that many Nigerians attack her on social media for decisions solely taken by her father.

She said she prays for those who bully her online because she has learnt to move on with life.

Zahra made the statement at the first edition of “An Afternoon with Zahra” The event, which cost N10,000 per person, attracted several young persons.

Narrating her story she said, “2015 was when I knew what bullying was. It started with my photos going viral. I was actually having a yoga class and I was sweating but people were busy sending my pictures up and down. People used it for their gain during the campaign.

But the issue changed the way people looked at my dad because they didn’t know that we were educated, we could speak English, and we could dress. So it changed a few things for good. It showed another light. People then understood that in the North not everybody is illiterate.

The 2015 elections went well. After 100 days, then the blow started coming. ‘Zahra your father did this… Zahra your father did that. But seriously, am I in office with him? Do I take any vital decision?

Did you understand why some decisions are being taken? When I post my picture, it is my picture. It is not your child’s picture. I kept wondering why people do this to me constantly.” She asked victims of cyber bullying not to be intimidated by hateful persons, adding that many unfavourable comments were made out of envy.

Zahra added, “I know we have people who are victims here. So to be honest, if you are a victim you need to feel sorry for those people; they want to be where you are and they are not there. So they will try to pull you down. Would you let them pull you down? No. You need to know that you have the values that someone also wants.”

Celebrities / Comedian Mr Hyenana Apologises For Sexually Harassing A Woman by amebogistng(m): 6:44pm On Nov 30, 2019
Mr Hyenana has taken to his Instagram to apologise to a woman who he admittedly sexually assaulted.

The drama began after Basketmouth was removed from the list of Nigerians listed as influencers or advocates for HerStoryOurStoryNG, an European Union campaign in partnership with the British Council.

Basketmouth has a long history of making rape jokes, and after his removal from the campaign, folks began fishing out other advocates on the list who have questionable history.

This is where Mr Hyenana comes in.

A woman named Feyi Patts called out the comedian for sexually harassing her in the past, and from the screenshots she shared, Mr Hyenana can be seen justifying that assault, showing no remorse.

Activist Solomon Buchi joined voices with the comedian, triggering a major conversation on social media. Which is why the comedian has now shared a video apologising for his actions.

See the post below, and his apology:

Senator Dino Melaye has shared a photo of himself, his father and former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu.

The two Peoples Democratic Party, PDP lawmakers and Melaye Senior looked all smiles and it appears like a joke was being shared.

Senator Melaye shared the photo via his Twitter handle on Thursday night, just always after reports that he(Melaye) had urged the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to postpone the supplementary polls for Kogi West senatorial district coming up on Saturday.

Melaye will be going head to head with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Smart Adeyemi. It is unclear if the electoral commission will yield to Melaye’s demand and postpone the poll.

It is unclear where the photo was taken but Melaye while sharing the photo simply road; Sen Ike, my dad and I.

The Ghanaian Nollywood actresses was trying to express her desire to go internationally with her acting craft and basically on setting her sights on Hollywood as she has outgrown the local Nollywood industry.

Here is what Juliet Ibrahim wrote:

Politics / Fayose’s N6.9 Billion Fraud Trial Stalled By Absence Of Trial Judge by amebogistng(m): 5:41pm On Nov 28, 2019
Trial on the alleged N6.9 billion fraud against former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose at the Federal High Court, Lagos, was on Thursday stalled following absence of the trial judge, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke.

The judge is said to be away attending a conference.

Fayose is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering involving N6.9 billion while serving as governor.

Also charged alongside Fayose, was Abiodun Agbele, the ex-governor’s aide accused of assisting his boss in carting away part of the missing funds.

He was first arraigned on Oct. 22, 2018, before Justice Mojisola Olatotegun alongside his company, Spotless Investment Ltd, on an 11-count charge.

He had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail on Oct. 24, 2018, in the sum of N50 million with two sureties in like sum.

The defendant was subsequently re-arraigned before Justice Aneke on July 2, after the case was withdrawn from Justice Olatoregun, following EFCC’s petition on unsatisfactory handling of the case.

Fayose also pleaded not guilty to the charges and was allowed to enjoy his bail while the case was adjourned until Nov. 28 for trial.

The trial, however, could not progress as slated as the court did not sit and a new date has yet to be fixed for the trial.

Crime / 20 Years Old Lady Narrates How Her Nigerian Father Molested Her When She Was 8 by amebogistng(m): 2:01am On Nov 28, 2019
A Nigerian lady has taken to instagram to speak out on how her late father abused her for 12 years since when she was only 8 years old.

It is a very touching story, please read it on below:

Finally gathered the courage to write my true life story out here.I was 8 that cold night my dad had come home drunk as usual,I was sleeping on the couch in the parlor,I had pee on my body as usual, always peeing almost every night,my dad had chased everyone out of the house as at 12am in the morning I was still sleeping so I had no idea what was going on.I felt something in my honeypot it was quite painful at same time watery,I woke up (half awake but feeling sleepy) opened my eyes and found my dad almost naked standing close to me with my pant on his hands,my honeypot was wet with some slippery fluid (what I didn’t know was sperm or normal discharge) I was 8 so I don’t have such discharge,I was naked,I remember sleeping with clothes on,what came to my mind was why was my dad with my pant and why was my honeypot wet with slippery substances that looks white,my dad stared at me and gave me back my pant, asked me to wash up and put it back on.

I felt some sharp pain in my honeypot but wasn’t too severe so I didn’t bother,I was only 8 so what do I know about sexual abuse,no one was in the house because it was my dad’s routine to chase everyone out when he comes home drunk. The next morning I couldn’t talk to my mom about it,few months later,my dad got drunk again but not to stupor,he asked me to go sleep in his room that night that I shouldn’t tell anyone, what was his intention??

He had chased my mom and siblings out again, was he trying to do to me what I felt that night,I refused,he promised to get me toys if i slept in his room. The memories of this still hurts me till date until I was finally raped by a guy in school, why are men like this ? If my own dad can molest me,why can’t any other person do the same to me.Im just going to tell all mothers to please be at alert and watch their female kids around relatives and even their own husbands.

The female child are not safe anymore.God pls clean my mind from such memories,I have been having night mares for 12 years now,it never goes a day without me thinking about how I was molested by my own blood father that I love with all my heart, may his Soul rest in perfect peace.

Crime / Those Who Killed PDP Woman Leader In Kogi Will Be Punished - Buhari by amebogistng(m): 8:24am On Nov 25, 2019
President Muhammadu Buhari has said he expects security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the “heinous murder” of a Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party Woman Leader, Mrs Achejuh Abuh.

Buhari stated that justice would be served upon conclusion of the investigation, describing the killing as “primitive behaviour” that should not be condoned.

“President Muhammadu Buhari expects scrupulous investigation into the heinous murder of Madam Achejuh Abuh, Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Wada/Aro campaign council, in the just-concluded gubernatorial election in Kogi State.

“The President decries whatever could spur anyone to take the life of another human being, particularly a woman, who was burnt to death in her home in the most gruesome manner.

“President Buhari charges all security agencies involved in the investigation to do a thorough and expeditious job on the matter, so that justice could be served without fear or favour”, a State House statement by his media aide, Mr Femi Adesina, said on Sunday.

Buhari said he shared in the grief of the family of the deceased, giving them the assurance that the law would take its full course.

“We must learn to behave decently, whether during elections or at other times. No life should be taken wantonly under any guise, and the fact that this reprehensible act occurred two days after voting shows primitive behaviour, which should not be accepted in a decent society”, the President was quoted as saying.

They say fate has a way of bringing us across the people we need.

Bisolu and her lover, Ayodele met on Twitter but the story started even before then. Ayodele had attended a cookout earlier and noticed a lady but didn’t speak to her.

Still feeling disappointed about that, he sees a new follower on Twitter and decides to follow and send a DM. He was pretty sure it was the same lady from the cookout, but then she wasn’t! Funny enough, Bisolu was meant to be at the same cookout.

You know it is better to hear the love story from the couple, so keep scrolling to read both sides of the #ABFusion love story.

How We Met By the groom, Ayodele

Spring 2012, I went with a couple of friends to a Memorial day cookout party. I remember noticing a girl there, for some reason I didn’t approach her. Later when I got home that evening. I felt a bit disappointed that I hadn’t even attempted conversing with the girl I saw.

The next day I was on twitter and noticed someone had sent me a follow request. I looked at the picture and I immediately assumed it was the same girl from the previous night, I accepted her request and quickly sent her a message. I was so sure that it was her that when she replied and said it wasn’t her, I thought she was just pulling my legs, the resemblance was uncanny!

Well it really didn’t matter much, conversing with her was so effortless it was as if we had known each other longer, we ended up chatting all night, and of course, your boy got that number and the rest is history. After six years of patiently waiting she said yes to my proposal.

Seven years later I can’t wait to finally marry that girl from twitter and call her my wife.

How We Met By the bride, Bisolu

They say fate has a funny way of bringing people together. I remember randomly being on Twitter one day and running across this guy’s page, he seemed rather absent on Twitter, but his picture caught my attention, so I followed him.

Fast forward a few days later, it was Memorial day and the usual cookout moves, for some reason my friends and I opted out of going to crossroads that day which was odd for us. Later that evening I got a message on twitter from the guy I had followed a few days before asking if I was at a crossroad that evening.

Of course, I wasn’t, so I just sarcastically responded “no but my twin was”. That didn’t stop him from spitting some game, and clearly I was bored so I obliged. We ended up chatting all night that day and I can honestly say 7 years later we haven’t gone a day without speaking to each other.
