In 1985 Nigeria Airways had 17 planes while Emirates had only 3 planes. In 2017, Emirates has 256 planes while Nigeria Airways has none. The Difference is Leadership.

In the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum selected the best brains that the world has to offer whether they are UAE citizens or not.

In Nigeria, we do the opposite. We rely on Quota System instead of merit and then we wonder why things are upside down in our country.

ARREST OF VICIOUS KIDNAPPERS / ARMED ROBBERS,
RECOVERY OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION

SUSPECTS:
i. Nuhu Fulani ‘M’ 32 years
ii. Yahaya Muhammed ‘M’ 26 years
iii. Aisha Bature ‘F’ 23 years ( wife of the gang leader)
EXHIBITS:
i. One (1) AK 47 Rifle
ii. One (1) Locally made pistol
iii. Thirty (30) rounds of live ammunition
iv. Samsung S6 phone (belonging to their last victim)

The IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) working in synergy with Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) smashed and arrested three (3) members of an armed robbery/Kidnap for ransom gang on 15/3/2017 in Zaria, Kaduna State and the above exhibits recovered from them. The gang has been on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police Force for some time now. In the course of investigation, they admitted to be responsible for some kidnappings and robberies on Zaria- Kaduna express way in Kaduna State.
The last suspect Aisha Bature 23 years is the wife of the gang leader and it was in a toilet in her house that AK 47 rifle fully loaded with ammunition was recovered.
2. The three (3) suspects confessed to the crime and explained to the Police investigators the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the various offences traced to them. They were equally identified by some the victims. Meanwhile, investigation is being intensified to arrest the other members of the gang still at large. All the suspects will be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday narrated his experience in London to governors at the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting.

He said he was overwhelmed by his recent experience in which states, irrespective of political differences charged their citizens to pray in mosques and churches for his well-being and apologised to Governors for barring them from visits to him while he rested in London.

“I didn’t want the government to move to London. I wanted it to remain here and I am glad it did,” he said.

After narrating what he went through while on that vacation, President Buhari noted the suggestion by the Governors for him to add more rest, but insisted that he would remain relentless in the pursuit of the interest of the Nigerian people at all times.

This, according to him, was the only way to show his gratitude to the people who, he said, “had given so much to me. I was overwhelmed by the celebration of my return all across the country.”

The special adviser to President Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has said that the presidency will communicate with the senate over Magu's rejection after it receives communication in writing from the senate.

Adesina made the revelation on his twitter handle on Thursday.

Ibrahim Magu was disqualified as the chairman of the EFCC on Wednesday by the senate over a DSS letter that described him as a man with lack of integrity.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday presided over the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council after his return from medical vacation in the UK.

According to reports, the president who arrived around 10am called on the minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the minister of information, Lai Mohammed to say the prayers.

President Buhari said "I have not seen Lai" the minister answered "I am here sir"

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara has received President Muhammadu Buhari's letter on his resumption to duty.

Dogara, shortly after receiving the letter said he will read the it to his colleagues in plenary on Tuesday

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended heartfelt condolences to the Ogbemudia family as well as the government and people of Edo State on the death of Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, a former‎ governor of the defunct Midwest region and old Bendel State.

According to his special adviser, Femi Adesina, "President Buhari joins them and other admirers in mourning the elder statesman who diligently served the country with courage and dedication at crucial moments in her history, both as military governor and a democratically elected civilian governor".

He said the President believes that the late Ogbemudia, who had a distinguished career as a military officer, administrator and Federal Minister, has left an impressive legacy of hard work, discipline and commitment to communal, state, regional and national development.

"The President recalls the unique role of the elder statesman in the nation’s return to civilian rule in 1999 and trusts that, as a tireless advocate for equity, he will be long remembered and honoured for his dedication to the advancement of his people, especially in the fields of education, social welfare and infrastructure.
