Florblu:
Please if it's not an issue of domestic violence and abuse sort out whatever it is with your husband.
You know he cares?

BTW, I read your previous threads

Could we just focus on the question asked in my original post. I’m only asking for recommendations...not for someone who doesn’t know me or if I’m asking for myself or anyone else to give any sort of marriage counsel.

I’d appreciate recommendations for a good family lawyer.
Thank you

Family / Re: What Words Do You Use When Scolding Your Erring Child? by amsky(m): 9:07pm On May 17, 2008
I scold my 5yr old boy when he gets naughty, sometimes,it is accompanied by a smack .I rarely use words such as idiot, mumu etc.The dat i mistakenly said to him ''don't be stupid''. he replied 'mom dont use that word.It is bad and i'll tell daddy''. I felt ashamed of myself and to apologise.

Travel / Re: What's Up With Ghana And Nigeria? by amsky(m): 7:53am On May 17, 2008
If you do not know 5% og ghanaians then my dear, too bad. I have come in contact with lots o' them. Some even say it to my face!!! No one can tell me otherwise. I have seen graffitti on the wall saying terrible things against Nigerians. There is a particular newpaper that never has anything good to say about nigeria and nigerians.I'll tell you when i remember the name.
Go to ghana web and see things for your self. I'm so sorry but that is the plain stark truth. It is unexplained hatred and maybe envy. i lived in accra as i have done in other countries and i know what i am saying typing. Someone made a comment that if nigerians decide to leave ghana with all their establichments-banks offices etc. that the economy will massively suffer, that day, it was His grace that i got home in one piece. I was not the one who said it o!! neither was i there when it was said. Almost everyone in that office became cold and unfriendly. It was the CEO who is a ghanaian that said it, but the establishment is owned by a nigerian. That day i fear my head well well. I started hearing unfriendly remarks. Till the day i had to join my husband where he is now, i did ot have peace.
So my brother,i do not have any thing against the people of ghana, but i know alot of them have things against nigerians. Even the nanny i employed for my baby was making silly comments. i fired her as soon as i got wind of it. And to think this was someone i hired to take care of my baby? I had a good relationship with the driver, mr.kwame addo. I still call him from here,we remain good friends. for the nigerian high commisioner to speak of it on air, then it's not an illusion,it is real.

Once again,my 2 cents. Have a gr8 wkend you all kiss kiss kiss

I know that 85% of Ghanaians hate Nigerians.I have seen it myself, in different forms. One has actually said ' you know i do not like your country people''. THey are simply jealous. They always say we show off alot, are a loud lot at alot of other rubbish.
No one can convince me otherwise.Alot of Ghanaians dislike nigerians for no just cause. Most are probably jealous.

My 2 cents.

HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Almondjoy!!!!! When last did you visit those relatives of yours?

I would rather hop on a bus that drive sometimes you know. Most of the guys here have got cars, but the transport system is organised in such a way that you can get by really well without a car. Even my husband gets on the train to work sometimes.
There are lots of people who you see with ''Tesco'' and ''Costco'' bags here that have got nice cars. I know a lady(Nigerian) who has a 4wheel drive but would rather take the tram.

Like Otele said, London is a leveler. You really do not know who is who till you really get to know them. You may see me hop on the bus with my baby in her buggy and think i'm just any kind o'person. But just stalk me to my house, and you'll be ''amazed'' at what you'd find out about me. cool wink

It's all about what one wants.

It's a stale topic, but nonetheless, this is my take, It's either your period is on its way, or you are either ovulating, or your are pregnant.

I experienced nipple pain in both pregnancies.

@ almondjoy

i beg to disagree my dear. I live here, i am neither poor nor pauverty striken. I live in a big house too, got my own parking and all that.
I do not know how ''US Nairalanders look or sound better '' than their British counterparts. Loads of people go on vacation here too if you ask me. I do alot of that myself between july and september each year. I really do not know what you mean by all that you have ''said'' here.

@ topic
I think it's a matter of what one thinks is important to him/her. For me, the UK is okay. The only problem i have is the high rate of immorality, which i know abounds even in the United States. For me, If your place of abode does you justice, nice. I have been to the US(Los Angeles) once, and it honestly did not make much of a difference to me.

I think it's different strokes for different folks.

The government cannot update air traffic control facilities, but they can award contracts worth bilions of naira to black listed companies.

Politics / Re: Can You Die For Your Country by amsky(m): 8:42pm On Mar 30, 2008
I can NEVER die for any country, ESPECIALLY NIgeria. If i cannot do it for England, then i'll never do it for Nigeria.
I just hope and pray that Nigeria becomes what it should be, then the question of dying may be considered, not before.

It's a hopeless situation.
