Science/Technology / Ultimate Beginner’s Guide To Binance Exchange: Buy/sell Cryptocurrency In 2018 by AndresNeymar: 5:27am On Mar 06, 2018
If you’ve decided to enter into the marvelous world of cryptocurrency and you’ve bought your first Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) or Litecoin (LTC) on Coinbase (Many people will refer to these as the Big Three). You also have friends talking about XVG, NEO, OMG, WTC etc. Coins such as these are what we refer to as altcoins. Unlike the big three many of these coins cannot be purchased on Coinbase, hence, they need to be bought on different exchanges. My personal favorite exchange is Binance. If you don’t have an account there, I suggest you an account so we can go through the steps together.

Binance is a secure exchange that many people use whereby the fees are halved. This is because they have their own currency Binance coin(BNB) which will when used to pay your transaction fee will cut your fee in half.

5 Top Home Appliances We Can't Live Without

As parents or as singles leaving in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria, there is always a need to buy home appliances at one time or the other as the need arises.

Also depending on the manufacturer and the warranty, some appliances break down faster than others do and this could be a problem as you end up buying them regularly.

Buying appliances is not a new thing for us, but we need to know the kind of appliances to buy and at what cost.

This article would go over the 5 top appliances we can't live without at home and why we need them.

1. Refrigerator:

How often do you go into your refrigerator for a midnight snack or to pick out fried fish to cook? Or is it coming back from an outing on a sunny Saturday afternoon where you would open it for a cold drink of water. Many of the staple food items purchased in the market are kept here also. Items like eggs, milk, cheese, meat and even butter.

2. The Washing Machine:

Granted, this is not available in every home but a lot of people who work have this. You can't work 9 to 5 all week and then sit down with bowls to wash your clothes. You need to use a machine. During the early 19th century, the Romans used to beat their clothes on stones to wash them but today, we use agitators which are inserted into the machine.

Washing machines are also complemented with clothes dryer which makes it easy to dry it off after washing it rather than taking the clothes outside under the sun to dry off with clips and all.

3. Television:

Imagine a world without Television? How would you watch soccer? How would you watch Telemundo? Yes, most of us get our news from Nairaland and Vanguard online but a good majority of us still use Channels TV and Silverbird TV as our news outlet and entertainment.

4. Air Conditioning:

Some people believe once you have a refrigerator that can produce cold drinks, you are good. Until the air conditioning unit was invented. The air conditioning unit promised a temperature controlled home. It makes it easy for one to eat, think and even sleep because it makes less noise.

5. Microwave:

Now that the Air conditioning unit has made your home cool, let's heat up your food with the microwave. Most Nigerians use microwave to warm food but only few know that this appliance can also be used to cook meals especially meat.

Microwaves use a magnetron tube that generates high energy that agitates the water molecules in food (which is what happens when put on a stove) cooking it faster and more evenly.

There you have it, the top 5 home appliances that we can't live without.

Lyrics: Olamide x Phyno – Who You Epp?

Who You Epp is the hit banger from Olamide which features the legendary Phyno. This song was a hit track for weeks all across the West. It also became a phrase that most Nigerians use on social media networks and off it.

Olamide, whose real name is Olamide Adedeji is a Lagos born rapper and producer. He started his musical career in the choir before taking to the street to dominate it with his lyrics. He is the founder of the YBNL record and has worked with popular acts like 2face, MI, Wizkid, Don Jazzy and Wande Coal.

Music/Radio / Five Star’s Harrysong To Suspend Album For National Reasons by AndresNeymar: 3:11pm On Jun 19, 2016
Five Star Music act, Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has revealed he would be suspending his much-anticipated album release for a very nationalistic reason.

Top Music Star and Five Star Music Artiste, HarrySong has revelaed that he won't be launching his much expected album soon due to problems happening in the nation especially back in his home region - South South.

HarrySong, whose real name is Harrison Tare Okiri, is a 35year old singer and songwriter who became popular after his tribute song to Nelson Mandela went viral online and then won the "Most Downloaded Callertune Awards" at the Headies.

HarrySong, spoke on Instagram where he said his focus will be on a peace concert which will help to shift the paradigm of the Niger Delta youths and thereby help them embrace peaceful resolutions rather than violence.

“Yes, it is true that I have suspended my album release for now. I am planning to have a peace concert in Asaba on July 30. This is going to be the biggest concert in the region and I am optimistic that it would yield a positive result. We are worried about the well being of our people and this is why we are bringing a peace concert to them,” he said.

He noted that all his label mates are strongly in support of the forth coming concert.

“All Five Star artistes have already been billed to perform. I am also speaking with some of my colleagues currently to know their plans for that day.

The truth is that the concert will hold on July 30 and everybody will be happy and the region will remain peaceful ever after,”

He has worked with a couple of popular acts in the industry and is rated in the South as Olamide is rated in the West and Phyno is rated highly in the East.

We at LindaLoaded wish Harrrysong and the rest of the Five Star music record label all the best in the Peace concert and we hope it leads to lasting peace in the region

There are other domain extensions with meanings that you might not be sure of.

Here are a couple of them:

- .info: is used for sites that provides information that are non promotional.
- .org: majorly used by organizations and non-profits

Music/Radio / [lyrics] Phyno Ft. Olamide – Fada Fada (ghetto Gospel) Mp3 And Video by AndresNeymar: 6:21am On Jun 18, 2016
[Lyrics] Phyno Ft. Olamide – Fada Fada (Ghetto Gospel) Mp3 and Video

The Fada Fada (Ghetto Gospel) by Phyno has been one of the break out hits of the past week. Phyno's desire to blend hip hop with highlife has continued to thrill fans both home and abroad. The chemistry between him and Olamide too has continued to yield fruits and it's no wonder that this song became an instant hit.

Phyno and Olamide started working together first on the Ghost Mode song which had led them to creating other songs in the past especially Ladi where former YBNL label mate, Lil Kesh was also featured.

These two have continued to spring surprises for the Entertainment world and we can only hope that they will come up with another album that will shock the world and win awards.

Phyno, whose real name is Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson, is a 29year old Nigerian producer and rapper from Enugu (Eastern part of Nigeria) who likes to rap in his native language (igbo language).

I am intending to give a shot on domain purchase. But, was lacking of proper knowledge on this factor. Confused with what to choose, how to choose, and would it work. So, this is the kind of post, I was truly needed of. Many thanks to you for coming up as a savior.

Glad I could help. You can check out the blog also for the full article.

The blog is strictly about web hosting and domain name purchases in Nigeria.

3. Domain Configuration

Click on Continue if you have found the domain name that suits you. You can also choose to pay for two years up front or more. The longer the years you select, the more discounts you get.

On the domain configuration page, you have to click on "No Hosting! Click to add"

Hosting is where your business will live online. It will power your business and keep your files. See domain as your name while hosting is your house. That is your power source. It has to be on point. You can't afford to go cheap here, the bigger the better especially when you want to run a business online.

The 1GB web space talks about how much data that can be stored for your business. The Bandwidth talks about the amount of traffic that Whogohost can allow to come in and can be downloaded from your site. Once you exceed that amount, you either upgrade or your business will become inaccessible.

I'm selecting the PRO package because I expect to grow within a 2months period. It's a standard plan.

After this, you would be asked to choose the domain you want to associate with the hosting plan.

This setting is for those who might want to register a new domain or maybe you have purchased a domain from someone else in the past but now you need web hosting on Whogohost or you already have webhosting on Whogohost but you need a domain name.

As you can see from the image below, technologyguru.ng is available.

The third image above has a warning message that says "sorry, technologyguru.com is already taken"

What that means is that I can't use the popular .com extension. I will have to use .ng extension.

The major difference between the .com and .ng is that one is country specific while the other one can show up for different countries, so most people usually prefer the .com not the .com.ng or the .ng

So if your business is strictly for Nigeria like , then .com.ng or .ng will be perfect for you. It means Google will give your domain priority for searches coming into the Google.com.ng page. This is very strategic and key.

So, how do you put your business online with Whogohost ?

1. Go to the website here --->> Whogohost

You can click on it, it will open another window on your web browser.

2. Search for a domain name first.

It is always advisable to start by searching for your domain name. This way you know if it’s available before you buy a hosting plan and in the case where it is not available, you can easily modify it before purchasing a hosting plan.

What you do here is to write your potential URL here without the "www and .com"

E.g. - technology guru

Once you type it in, you would see a ".ng" to the right.
You can change that if you don't want the website to be www.technologyguru.ng

NB: Our sample domain name is "technology guru"

Whogohost is one of the oldest and biggest Web Hosting companies in Nigeria. They offer web hosting in Nigeria, domain registration and other stellar services which has made them a household name.

If you are a business owner and you want to build a website, Whogohost has a website builder for you and the prices ranges from N60, 000 to N150, 000. There are easier alternatives out there with faster timelines but this is a new feature from Whogohost which makes it less stressful for those customers who don't want to think about starting a website or looking for a developer to help them build a website.

Ready to put your business online? Or maybe you just want to register your business name before someone else buys it.

Buying your domain name early is never wrong irrespective of when you intend to launch your business. Even if you intend to start your business a year from now, it’s always advisable to register a domain early.

Another benefit of registering a domain name early is the seo benefits. It’s easier for you to rank for an older domain than it is to rank with newer domains. Google naturally believes that older domains or domains that have been in use prior are more credible because they have been in existence longer than the newer ones.

This is true for us humans also. If you have to choose between an old business and a new business that recently opened across the street, you would naturally want to choose the old business due to that perceive trust that you associate with their existence.

Webmasters / Web Hosting Companies In Nigeria: Gigalayer Webhosting Review by AndresNeymar: 10:12am On Jun 07, 2016
Gigalayer WebHosting Review

Webhosting in Nigeria: GigaLayer picture

GigaLayer is a Nigerian company with head office in Lagos which offers web hosting services and it has kept and grown in its niche for almost 9years since its inception. The company was initially registered and formerly called Aimtech NG but re-branded when it realized the name Aimtech NG adds little to its brand and work to GigaLayer a more techie name which has seen it grown since then.

What you will learn in this article:

- The main services offered by GigaLayer
- What is a domain is and the possible domain extensions you can register with?
- How Domain names are registered on GigaLayer.
- The cost of Web Hosting on GigaLayer.

1. The Main Services offered by GigaLayer Web Hosting Company

GigaLayer offers various services to its customers but there are two major services that they are known for. These two services are broken into other sub categories.

- They offer domain name registration: which is the ability to register your domain on their platform.

2. What is a domain name and the possible extensions you can register with?

A domain name is your address online. It is how people locate you and your business online. It is also tied to your brand and you must be careful when choosing it.

Here are 4 things to avoid when choosing a domain name

- Avoid difficult and hard to spell names

- Pick a dot.com or a dot.ng. This is tricky, but it's still best you go for a dot com, if the name is available as against a dot.com.ng. Dot.ng on the other hand is gaining grounds fast and is a great extension.

- A domain name that sounds like another business should be avoided. This will lead to frustration as customers will think you are someone else. E.g. - WinkedIn or Boogle are names that sound too close to LinkedIn and Google. Avoid them.

- Hyphens and numbers. Your domain should be a word or set of words. Remember it's your name. No one calls you Peter-John so you are you interested in buying the domain peter-john.com

GigaLayer offers a lot of options here for you to register domain names with the cheapest being .com.ng which goes for N2,750.
They offer both global and local extensions on their site. They offer some popular extensions like .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .com.ng, .gov.ng etc.
You can view more of their extensions here and register www.gigalayer.com

3. How Domain Names are registered on GigaLayer.

The process is fairly simple, once you get to this page

- You will be asked to enter your name and check for availability.
- The default extension on the site is .ng but you can change this to your preferred extension.
- If it's not taken, you select it and click on Add to Cart
- After this stage, it asks you to buy a hosting plan. You would need this for your domain name. It houses the address.
- If you select Add Hosting, it will take you to the hosting section so you can choose your preferred plan.
- If you already have hosting elsewhere, you can skip this and go straight to the checkout page.

4. The Cost of Web Hosting on GigaLayer

The cost of web hosting on GigaLayer varies per feature. I would try to explain the different features and what they mean below, as quick as possible.
GigaLayer has four major web hosting options that you can pick from for the Cpanel hosting for small businesses.

They include:

- Small Cpanel hosting which goes for N6,250/Yr.
- Medium Cpanel hosting which goes for N10,000/Yr.
- Large Cpanel hosting which goes for N15,000/Yr.
- Colossal which goes for N20,000/Yr.

They all differ in a lot of things but three key things are very critical when deciding to go with any hosting company as a small business - disk space, bandwidth and database.

- Disk space has to do with where your files will be stored and how much space will be allocated for that storage at your hosting site.

- Bandwidth has to do with the amount of traffic that your hosting company can allow to come in and amount of data that can be downloaded from your site. Each web hosting plan has different maximum bandwidth that can be allowed.

- Database is where the applications to be used on your site will be run. Most applications need a database to run on. Applications like Wordpress, Joomla and others. The number of database granted here will determine the number of applications that can be installed and used on your site.

There you have it. This is an objective review of how you can get your business online using GigaLayer, a Professional Web hosting site in Nigeria.

Fashion / Casual Shoes For Men Part 1: The Contrast Leather Trim Lace-up Sneakers by AndresNeymar: 1:08pm On May 26, 2016
Hey guys!

Here is something you probably haven't heard in a while - "your casual shoes are not just meant to be used in the gym".

There are different kind of casual shoes and they all serve different purposes depending on how you wear them. This article will share a lot of information on some common designs and how to wear them depending on the ocassion.

What you will learn in this article:

How to buy Sneakers (check designs here) and other casual shoes
Advice on cleaning and styling your casual shoes especially your boots
Sneakers types and design.
What you need to know about the Contrast Leather Trim Lace-Up Sneakers

1. How to buy Sneakers and other Casual Shoes

So you have decided to buy a new pair of sneakers or plimsolls?
That's very good but what should you look out for?
What should you look out for in the soles and design makeup to help you make your choice?

We have all the answers here!

First, buy shoes that already complement what you have in stock. Don't buy a shoe that would involve you purchasing new sets of jeans and shirts to match it just because they are a new set of shoes that are trendy.
Buy casual shoes for the occasion you want it for. Loafers and boat shoes are not for the gym or for the beach. You don't want sand in your expensive loafers, do you?
If you are looking for a running shoe or something to wear for exercuses during the weekend, then you might want to take a closer look at the sole before buying as this would impact the use of your sneakers. The inner layer and the sole determines stability and comfort while wearing.

2. Advice on Cleaning and Styling your Casual Shoes

For Loafers that have a stain, use a mild detergent with water. Pick up any unused toothbrush, dab into water and use it to remove the stain gently.
For Sneaker, make sure you wash the laces and use your unused toothbrush to brush the outsole area which is located by the side of the sole.
For insoles that gets smelly especially for users who don't wear stockings. You could try baking powder. All you need to do is to spray the powder all around the insole area that are smelling and leave it there till morning to do its magic.

3. Sneaker Types and Designs

We have the basic sneakers like the vans and converse. Very easy to wear and clean. They are also very affordable and could be fond in the wardrobe of every man.
Sports sneakers are also a very distinct kind. These kinds are created for sporting activities from running to boxing to playing basketball. Please don't take converse to a basketball game =)
Fashionable sneakers are sneakers from designers created to be worn on chinos pants or jeans. They are usually very trendy and slick when worn.

4. Introduction to the Contrast Leather Trim Lace-Up Sneaker

They are urban like sneakers.
Sneakers like this can be styled well with both blue and dark brown jeans/chinos.
Its made of both leather and suede. Comfortable and classy.
It comes with padded insoles

Time to Stand Out!

Loafers have a way of having people get magnetized to your feet. They are easy to wear, easy to take off and very stylish. They also come in different styles like the Brogues Loafers, Loafers with crocodile skin or python skins, Loafers made with leather and suede material. Each has a different design and intention as to the event that it could be worn to. Not knowing which to wear and how to pair it is why this blog was created.

Why are Men Loafers so special?

They look good and could go with different styles but there is something magical about a loafer with tassels.

I once heard that the gentlemen of the 18th century wore Brogues to dinners and social events because there were no loafers then. Imagine a Prince wearing Brogues on Shorts on a Yatch. It almost became a prerequisite then as if you came to such parties without your Yatch or in Brogues, you would be bounced.

But today, we don't have to dress awkward to casual events thanks to the invention of Loafers for men. You also don't need to be part of the aristocrat to afford one.

This particular brand is available for less than N12, 000 in Nigeria. It’s a leather loafer with tassels. According to Merriam Webster, Tassels is a dangling ornament made by laying parallel a bunch of cords or threads of even length and fastening them at one end.

This Leather Loafers for men comes with a low-profile synthetic sole to give you a classic and comfortable wear. Not too high and not too low. It's lined with PU lining. The brown color makes it a sleek and executive addition to any clothing and it’s very comfortable to wear and breathable to the feet with the perforations all across the shoe.

The Features of this Loafer

Color: Light Brown
Design: Plain with tiny perforations
Material: Leather
Style: Slip-On
Sizes Available: 7 to 11
Manufacturer: Gab Moren
Delivery: 24-48hours within Lagos only

Business / 5 Practical Ways To Boost Your Marketing Results Using Linda Ikeji’s Website by AndresNeymar: 3:22pm On Apr 15, 2016
There are many ways to advertise on Linda Ikeji’s website but I want to focus on sponsored post today. This is due to the tremendous results a lot of advertisers have gotten over the years as against buying a banner on the blog.

Paying blogs to distribute your content is the reality in Nigeria and we have all gotten used to this. Gone are the days when you can create a press release and send it out to get published. Today, Nigerian bloggers complain of being overwhelmed with articles and press releases and as such, those who pay get priority and published – others get tossed in the trash.

This is what happens on Linda Ikeji’s blog too – 13th most visited site in Nigeria. If you push out an interesting content – you might get lucky that she sees it online and publishes it, in which case millions of Nigerians will see your content at zero cost to you. But in most cases, you will have to pay a fee to get featured on her blog.

I’m going to assume you know how write an engaging sponsored post- this takes skill too. Let’s go into 5 practical ways to boost your marketing results using Sponsored post on Linda Ikeji’s website.

So what are the main things to keep in mind when pushing out a Sponsored Post to Linda Ikeji blog?

Use lots of visuals

Most of the visitors who visit her site do so on a regular basis from a mobile phone and words don’t always cut it for someone with limited amount of time to process your information and a short attention span.

But Images are magic.

Do you know that 90% of the information transmitted to the brain is visual and according to this same source, 40% of people will respond better to images than text.

For example:

Words sample for a Company that sells Slimming Tea:

Romance / 5 Colours Nigerian Men Love On Their Women by AndresNeymar: 1:08pm On Jan 11, 2016
Most women say they dress up to look good for themselves, but like it or not we hope that our fashion would score us a date or impress our men. Fashion is important to us, women to show style and personality to the world, but you might be interested to know that there are certain colors that men love on women that can also give you an edge.

1) Black:

Men love basic black because it implies sexiness, sophistication and class, all wrapped up in only one simple colour.

2) Red:

Most men probably don’t realize this, but they do love red.

It implies sex appeal, confidence and femininity. Wear it however you want, but do not overkill it from head to toe. Too much might seem trashy and that's not a perception you want any man to have on you. Just remember that a little red goes a long way.

3) White:

Men also love white because it is clean, classy and pure, something that feels timeless to men. Tops are best with this since a stained white pants or skirt is definitely unattractive.

4) Bright Blue:

One of men’s favourite colours is blue and they love it on women too. Baby blue is okay, but brighter blues are the best. Navy blue is usually seen as more drab, so it should be left for the office.

5) Pink:

Pink is soft, feminine and flirty, but like red it goes a long way in a little amount. Too much can make you look like a girly-girl which men are not so fond of.
