Politics / Re: High Rate Of Unemployment Plagues Nigeria, What Should Be Done Or Change? by angela98(f): 2:07pm On Sep 11, 2014 |
I think constant and stable electricity supply is one of the key factors to expansion and growth of businesses which could attract the needs for employment of new workers. Where businesses continued to rely on external sources of power supply to run their businesses, with the high prices of fuel and diesel, it makes the chances of achieving profit very slim. At the end its the workers and job seekers that suffers. Because the organization is trying to generate profit after so much outgoings on fuel and diesel, they began to cut corners and costs to generate profit..eg. the organization will feel no need to employ new workers. they would pay poor wages, short - staff, over labour of worker i.e one worker doing supposed six workers job, exploitation of workers rights, rogue trading, production and distribution of poor quality goods, no quality control, no employment benefits for workers like job security, accident and injury insurance, limited or no proper health and safety measures for workers.. |
Politics / High Rate Of Unemployment Plagues Nigeria, What Should Be Done Or Change? by angela98(f): 12:51am On Sep 11, 2014 |
It is no longer news in Nigeria that over one million unemployed youths are readily applying for jobs where less than five thousand people are needed. The country is in the verge of revolution which undoubtedly will be triggered by this terrible economic menace called unemployment. However, this is a country that is always creating millions of jobs every year and the year 2013 is not an exception as Mr. President Goodluck said: “We created 1.6 million jobs in 2013,” could all this be political propaganda? Because employment rate unabatedly soars every second that passes in Nigeria. (Source; sahara reporter) Some time ago in Lagos, I was at Ikeja going to Oregun. I met two young men whom I knew years back when they were in the university, riding Keke napep as public transportation business. I was shocked. Even though I pretended that it was fine, that it was all part of hustling, deep down in my heart I knew it wasn’t. I just couldn’t comprehend why this university of Benin electrical engineer and accountancy graduates will be riding Keke napep for a living. When I question them why? They said they couldn’t find a job and have been struggling over the years to get employment. I was baffled. These guys situation speaks for millions of people in Nigeria whom are wallowing in frustration because of lack of employment. a lot of Nigeria citizens whom live abroad want positive changes to happen in Nigeria. We want improvement that will be of greater benefits to the residents. We want quality lifestyle for the residents, quality control and security in all aspects of life. Do share your views, opinion and experiences our voice as individual residents of Nigeria and citizens home and abroad need to be heard before this upcoming election. What do you want to change? lets speak to the government on this forum...... please do not curse or incite hatred. thanks 1 Like 1 Share |

MizMyColi: You! I remember you from the blind date thread.thanks babe. What I noticed is that most of the topics have similarities. Eventhough they are put in different sentences but they are still meaning same thing. For example...a topic which says "what age did you disvirgin" and another says "what age did u first had sex?"..its same to me. Boring...anyway, how have u been?..hugs 1 Like |

I love to hang around straightforward intelligent people whether young or old, rich or poor. Its a shame that in every social network, there must be impersonators and fakers. With dubious intentions.. Well, since I had my nl. Account reactivated, I have met good honest kind straightforward genuine people. And I am happy I met them on nl. They are good family friends now. I hate to live in fear and distrust. I love to give people a chance. Because I believe not every Nigerians are fraudulent. It is foolish for a guy to impersonate a girl on nl. Because he Will just be missing out on genuine friendships. 3 Likes |

Politics / Re: Woman's Face Battered By Her Husband Over Piece Of Fish. (pics) by angela98(f): 9:36am On Aug 07, 2014 |
Why am I not surprised? An abusive husband can beat up his wife over anything or any issues. Why woman will still choose to remain with such men, I do not know. I believe in marriage or relationship, couples are supposed to be pamparing each other and looking after each other not harm each other. In 2005 my cousin abusive husband, threw her down from a 3storey balcony because of an argument over a bottle of coke. She slammed her head on the concrete floor, with her brain bursted and died instantly with her 4month pregnancy. Neighbours were horrified. The truth is, even though the husband was arrested, tried and jailed, it still doesn't bring back my dead cousin to life. People in an abusive relationship should seek support , if they feel too scared to take decisions to quit the relationship. 1 Like |

This people are sick psychopath. He slashed the throats of 5 human being, snuffed life out of them in the name of Allah. Well, he is going to rot in a dirty single prison cell with hard labour. His stinking cell will be packed and overcrowded with his fellow bombers and killers. There will be no space to breath, think, stretch his killer legs and sleep. He will suffer till death. To question, was it really worth it? Killing ur fellow humans as chickens. Islam does not represent what this terrorist believes. This terrorist ain't true believers of Islam, they are Islam separatist and the Judas among the disciples. 2 Likes |

When there ain't mobile phones and limited means of communication , people show up at my house unannounced particularly relatives from the village. I never felt comfortable with it but what can I do? Naija and culture things , I just had to conform.. This mobile phone communication era gave me voice and allowed me to set ground rule on any visitors. If anyone decides to visit without giving me a prior notice that person should be ready to face disappointment of a futile journey. In this wicked world one should be conscious of its security. More so, to avoid unnecessary friends and family palavar. 2 Likes |

She took the wrong action for the right reasons. Now she might be charged for attempted murder or manslaughter (if d man dies). Her daughter might be taken away from her. She should have allowed Justice to take its course..what a traumatic experience. 2 Likes |
