SIN can be registered for online now, a bank account can be opened without visiting the bank. You might just have to wait to make deposits.
Truth is, be hopeful. The economy wont be fully awake for many months but it wont deter our lot.

Anyone landing for the first time will have a very hard time doing the basics, getting SIN(most service Canada offices are closed), opening a bank account et al.
In Ottawa, the apartment complexes that currently have vacancies are not doing viewings so you'll basically be renting an apartment without seeing it.

You'll spend so much to accomplish so little especially if you don't have family that can accommodate you.

For anyone here who is looking to travel amidst this airport closure.
There is a group that is travelling later this week via a charter flight.
Currently, the group has 78 names and are seeking additional 22 to make up a 100 passengers. The cost per head based on this calculation is 3500USD for adults, 3000USD for kids above 2years and infants fly for free.
Flight is from Lagos to Toronto and there is talks for a stopover in Abuja if we have a sizable number from there.
According to the team, the chartered flight has carried out prior evacuation and guarantees that approvals to fly will be gotten within 48hours.
If there is anyone that runs the risk of having their COPRs expire within the next few days/weeks, please buzz me so I can send you the contact details.

Is there anyone in this same situation? My COPR is expiring in about a week. I have filled the web-form( about a month ago) and got an uncertain response from IRCC yesterday. The response just says they are making additional verification in order to respond to my enquiry/ request for extension.

I understand the situation is also uncertain, but I no wan carry last o, in case some people have found their way to travel.

Any advice on steps I can take please?

As far as I know u can be asked anything... From sports to what your school project was all about.. The first question is usually 'tell us about yourself' so jst try and use that to sweep their focus to the aspect of you that you are prepared to talk about. .

The lady initially said no and then two hrs later she sent me another mail saying yes
and I had already opened an account between her no and her yes.

If You've done the essay&questinnaire part, u should Jst be prepared to answer two or three questions from the questionnaire you filled. Diff questions for diff people buh it's all in the questionnaire.

It went fine... Nothing was said about reimbursement even from the beginning n I don't think anyone shud be expecting it.
Getting into training school should be enough reimbursement.

I wrote my test at vi on Friday and I recived the link for SJT last night. Please anyone who has written it should share what it looked like.. Cubiks practice tests are almost impossible to get online. I have some practice questions but I don't know if they follow cubiks standards.
