I think you should email the school first because they have a deadline for resumption, before booking your flight, to avoid stories that touch. They need to issue you a letter which you would present at the border. The letter gives you permission to resume late. If you don’t present that letter, you might have issues.
There's no deadline for resumption there's only a deadline for deferral if you feel you wouldn't be able to catch up with missed class time.

This is an automated email sent by VAC to every applicant that submitted their application via the paper route. This doesn't mean your application was processed and handled at the IRCC office in Lagos.
Alright. Thank you

Awesome!, if you're very certain you can be able to meet up for the winter session. You can go ahead and book for your flight. However, passport dispatching takes between 2-3 weeks. So I don't think you will still make it for the winter. On the other hand, you can contact/email the university of Windsor about the possibility of late resumption.
when I was applying the last email from vfs said my application has arrived at the IRCC office in lagos for processing and the letter that was sent to me was from the deputy high Commission in lagos

Congratulations!

When is your resumption date that made you plan to book for flight so quickly?.. Also the immigration that approved your visa was Kenya not Lagos as you thought. The high commission in Lagos only serve as intermediary office to the immigration at Nairobi.
my resumption is January 6th for university of Windsor. But from the course work I've seen online I can still catch up
