Thanks, all those that sent your emails. Please if you have not heard from us, maybe you are not particularly what we need at this time, but it does not mean that you are not skillful and unique in your own special way. Thanks for your co-operation!
Literature / Writers, Editors Needed by Another: 12:23pm On Apr 26, 2010
I am in the process of setting up an independent publishing company in Nigeria to publish books and a magazine. I need to team up with some like-minded literary giants: people who have authority over the spoken and written word, people who have a little to invest and people who want to be a force to reckon on in the Nigerian literary world in particular, Africa in the outset and the world, at large.

I don't need time wasters, who are not sure what they want in life. I need determined people, who have burnt their bridges, and can only move forward. I will be in Nigeria in the next few weeks and will like to meet up with such individuals so we can take the Nigerian literary industry to the next level.

For interested people, please send your email queries to dogmatic27@yahoo.com

Thanks for your attention

Music/Radio / New Record Labels Needs Producers,Promoters and Songwriters by Another: 11:00am On Nov 18, 2008
We are a new record label, and for professional reasons, we won't mention our name in this medium.
We need to hire in-house Producers, Songwriters and Promoters.
Our coverage is the whole of Africa, and not just Nigeria, so we are not just looking for people who can entertain Nigerians, but Africans as a whole, and possibly, beyond.
We would like to hear from you and hear your terms as well. So if you are a producer, a song writer, or if you have what it takes to promote music effectively in Nigeria, we would like to hear from you.
Please email us at dogmatic27@yahoo.com, with details of your experience, a cover letter detailing what you can do, and how much you would charge us to be a part of us.
If you are a songwriter, you are expected to write a song for our artist to perform.Your name would be credited in the release and you would receive Royalties, or an agreed down payment for any song we are interested in.
If you are a producer, you would work with our in-house producers to create good music.Your remunerations would also depend on agreement between us and you, but we would like to hear your terms first. You would be credited for any production you embark on and would be paid Royalties, or an agreed down payment for the task you have accomplished.
For promoters, you would need to demonstrate that you can create a brand name for our artists, undertake various forms of media and public promotions and initiate ways in which our artists can get maximum promotion. You have to undertake online campaigns on websites like nairaland, where you would sell the artist we are trying to promote.
So, if you think you fulfil any of the three roles, and that you can make out time around your day job, to undertake any of the roles, please email us on dogmatic27@yahoo.com and give us your terms.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Music/Radio / Re: How Are Mobo, hiphop World, Grammy And Kora Submissions Made? by Another: 4:27pm On Oct 21, 2008
Noticed that there are lots of tight songs in Naija that never make it to these awards, so can someone share the light so that we will all learn how best to promote our artists, both locally and internationally.
Music/Radio / How Are Mobo, hiphop World, Grammy And Kora Submissions Made? by Another: 12:53pm On Oct 21, 2008
I am afraid, I am a stark illiterate in these things, but can someone tell me how MOBO, Hip Hop World, Grammy and KORA submissions are made?
For instance, if Mr A has a CD out in the market, how can he submit his music for any awards whatsoever?
Recently 9Nice won an award at the MOBO, how did the music get to the attention of the organisers in the first place?
Any useful explanations would be highly aapreciated.
Thanks to all!

Music/Radio / Re: New Ukrainian Invitation Letter For Studies by Another: 3:35pm On Feb 08, 2008
What would one go and do in poor and impoverished Ukraine, with all its people escaping to western europe for survival? well, the advice is,all that glitters is not gold. Why do you have to pay money to get admitted? How much would you now pay as school fees?and most importantly, how can you survive when there is no jobs to go round for the indigenes, talk less of hustlers with no residential status, but students?
The advice to any nairalander reading this and getting tempted is: genuine schools don't ask you for money to get admitted. Some schools ask for Application fees, especially in canada, but they won't ask you for $300 for a 'letter of invitation'
Schools issue out Admission letters and not Invitation letters.
Please post your querries directly on the message board so everything is transparent.
To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed!
