Mason Xi, the male lead, the president of Xi's Group. He never admitted his affection to Nora due to the cold-hearted and ruthless personalities. But he does care and love Nora deep down in his heart. The air is cleared in the end. He, therefore, became a sweet and caring boyfriend after confessing his love.

Nora Lin, the female lead, kind and stubborn, whose father is the butler of the Xi family. Her mom divorced her poor dad and left. Nora stayed in the Xi family and was like a grand-daughter to Old Master Xi. She has been in deep love with Mason Xi but the feeling was not reciprocated.

Henry Gu, the supporting male, a well-known doctor of obstetrics, a true gentleman. He is always at Nora's side and protects her and gives her unconditional love even though when he knew he can't have her heart

Chelsea Lu, the supporting female, a wicked actress with an innocent look. She has her fame in acting. But Mazon and his mother never fancy her. She was the one who sent the edited recording to Nora anonymously and caused the misunderstanding between Nora and Mason. That's why Nora left Mason with their son. Finally, Chelsea's misconduct got exposed and she ended miserably.

Idris Lin, the adorable son of Nora and Mason, 4yrs old, smart and good at observing. He is overprotective of his mom. So when he moved into the Xi family, he always tricks Mason(his dad) to avenge Nora.

Old Master Xi, an adorable old man, has always been sweet to Nora. He had been expecting Nora to give birth. So he barely talked to Mason due to the anger at their divorce. His attitude has taken a turn until Nora and Idris came back to the family.

Old Madam Xi, a warm and kind old lady, been in love with Old Master during her lifetime, cares Noral a lot. She never likes Chelsea and always keeps her distance from Chelsea, which confused and annoyed Chelsea. So Chelsea planned to kill her.

Nora accidentally learned that there's another purpose for her husband Mason wanting a baby. In order to protect her child, she colluded with Henry, the doctor, and lied to Mason that she miscarried and the father was not Mason. So Mason was so furious that he divorced her. Nora left city A immediately after Mason was gone thanks to the arrangement of Gu Heng.

Nora woke up from a nightmare, and then heard the airport announcement, indicating that the plane had landed. After she got off the plane with her cutie Idris, she glimpsed Mason at the exit of the airport unexpectedly. She was shocked and hurried away with the adorable to another direction. The innocent cutie asked why, and that was just heard by Mason. He glimpsed Nora's face when turning around. A female voice interrupted him when he was about to take a closer look at the girl

'It can't be her. She had aborted her child and left a long time ago' He thought to himself.

Nora was greatly relieved to see Mason walked away with a girl(Chelsea Lu). The cutie asked Nora if she knows the man. Although Nora said no, he was curious without saying anything.



The middle: What mainly happened in the storyline

They live at the house that Henry arranged. The son secretly googled information about Mason and learned that the man was married but his wife was not the one he saw at the airport. But nothing about Mrs. Xi can be found online. As Nora came with dinner prepared, the cutie quickly deleted the browsing history, switched to the video player, and talked to Mom as if nothing had happened. Henry called to let Nora know that Mason coming to the city too. Nora comforted him down but she couldn't fall asleep all night.

The next morning, Nora sent the cutie to the kindergarten and went to the company. But Mason was there too. He was surrounded by several men in suits. She ducked her head before he recognized her. After he left, she asked the receptionist about him. Then she knew that Mason has become the biggest shareholder of the company.

So he came to get the hang of the company operation. And he'll probably run it by himself. Nora didn't expect all of these. But if she rejected to work in this firm she will be liable for the high penalty due to breach of the employment agreement. She could only wish that Mason would leave the company soon. Unexpectedly, when she entered the elevator and the door was about to close, he stopped the door and walked in calmly.

Nora knew that she couldn't avoid him. She could only pretend to be calm. Suddenly, Mason sarcastically said that she played a good game that she aborted the child and to let him signed the divorce agreement. Nora kicked back by saying that he married her for the sake of her children in the first place. Now that the child has gone, there's no need to stay together.

Speaking of the child, Mason suddenly recalled the little boy he saw at the airport. Although he didn't see his mother's face, her figure was a little similar to Nora's. He simply replied that if the child was still alive, he should be four years old now, and he doesn't know who he looks like. It's better not to look like him, or he will find out even at only one glance. Nora was a bit scared by his words. The elevator arrived. She said hurriedly that the child had already died, and she left pretending to be calm.

Nora looked back to make sure that Mason wasn't following. Then she grabbed a taxi and picked up Idris from the kindergarten. As soon as she got into the car, Mason's scar came out of the underground garage and followed her all the way to the kindergarten. The next day, Nora just took her son downstairs and found that Mason was waiting downstairs. Nora ignored him but was demanded to get in the car. Before Nora rejected, Idris agreed and climbed into the back seat. Nora had no choice but to follow. The kid said rudely that it is a free ride anyway. HE even said the address of the kindergarten, so that Mason could drive faster. On the way, Mason asked the child how old he is and so on, but Lin Yiqiao sharply responded to those questions. Nora was stunned and thought that Idris might have realized something. The car arrived at the kindergarten. As soon as Lin Yiqiao got off the car, the assistant sent Mason the investigation info.

Mason was more certain that Idris was their child. He confronted Nora. But Nora said that the child is her husband's. She married another man after the divorce. Mason showed her the investigation report to prove that she lied and she was still unmarried.

It made Nora worried. She just insisted that the child was not his, and then she turned around to left. Mason told her that he decided to stay in the company. He had time to investigate the kid's biological father. Finally, he reminded Nora not to run away. She could not afford the high penalty. Nora had to agree and left. A short hair was left in Mason’s car. It should be Idris’s. He asked his assistant to send the hair to the hospital for parent-child identification.

It’s Nora’s first day of work. And she has an independent office. Mason arranged this. That made her the target of all jealous colleagues. One of the female designers came to ask her what the relationship is between her and Mason. Nora denied any relationships but the woman did not believe it.

The woman bumped the cup against Nora, mocking that what Nora was wearing would not be a big brand. This attitude completely annoyed Nora and made her fight back. Mason showed up and dismissed the crowd, sitting in front of her, telling the birth date and blood type of Idris. Nora still rejected to admit that Idris is his son. And Mason said that he had sent someone to pick up the child.

Mason forced Nora to remarry with him. Nora agreed desperately, but she also asked him to keep the remarriage as a secret and he can't impact her work. They signed an agreement. Later, Nora had to follow Mason back to his house. Mason's parents were very fond of the cutie and also cared about Nora. The family got along well.

The company's Rose jewelry design was returned for redesign. The client thinks the style is a little out-dated and conservative, lacking novelty. So the chief designer announced that this year everyone can compete for Rose’s designing job. Nora wanted the chance too so she worked hard for it. But Mason's sister, who doesn't like Nora due to some misunderstandings, got involved too. x

At a dinner with a colleague, Nora saw that Mason dated Chelsea and Chelsea kept touching Mason intimately. That made Nora jealous and unhappy. Idris thought his mom was bullied by Mason so he played some tricks and told Mason that Mom and he liked Uncle Henry a lot. That made Mason jealous and to claim Nora as his.

Nora was framed about plagiarizing other designs. And she thought Mason didn't believe her either. Thanks to Henry, she regained her confidence and began to look for inspiration to create new jewelry works again.

Chelsea frequently came to Xi's family and tried to ruin the relationship between Nora and Mason. But the little Idris noticed it and embarrassed her every time.

Nora was upset about lacking inspiration for designing. Mason encouraged her in his own way. So the couple was getting along well. Chelsea hated to lose. She sent someone to kidnap and kill Idris. But she failed and her wicked behavior was exposed.

Mason was on a business trip to Hong Kong with Nora. The business went well. And the couple had a lovely trip together. During the trip, Nora found inspiration for designing the jewelry.



The climax and the end: it leads to the biggest issue of the whole story.

The relationship between Nora and Mason has been eased a lot after the trip. But the recording still remained the biggest resistance between them. Mason didn't know about it so he was confused about why Nora couldn't accept him.

Nora's designing work has been selected in the end. At the celebrating party, Nora drank too much. She accidentally spit out the recording. According to the recording, Mason only wanted the child as some kind of medicine to save his ex-lover. Mason knew the whole thing finally and asked his assistant to look it into. It's too long to find out the sender. But it cleared the air out when the investigation was over. Nora finally forgave Mason.

Idris showed Mason a picture of Nora and Henry being together. That stimulated that Mason came to confess his feeling.



Additional plots: to make the story twisted and longer.

Nora's close colleague got to know Henry through Nora. Gradually, she was falling in love with him. She took the initiative to pursue him and asked Nora to help. However, Henry kept refusing her love.
Nora has become a top designer. And her mother and the stepfather tried to bleed her.
Mason's sister was raped in college and she blamed Nora for that. But it was actually Chelsea's fault.
