What airline did you use?

Is it easy picking up your BRP card?

I used Media View airline. N168k from Lagos to Gatwick..
To pick up your BRP card, go to the designated address. Identify yourself and request for your BRP card. It will be handed unto you. That's all!

Hello All,

My husband received his documents on Saturday from UKVI, but I am yet to get any email on decision made or passport collection.

Any similar experience in the house?

You will hear from them very soon. Same thing happened to me. My wife got the documents first then few days later the email dropped on my box.

We haven't heard anything from ukvi or tls. However, when do you start counting, is it from when you do your biometrics or from when hubby sends supporting documents, as I didn't get any email acknowlegding receipt of the suppoeting documents. I only got an email for my own tls documents that i sent. Please advise cos this waiting is killing.

I just looked too. It's changed back to the old fees. They haven't refunded me yet. I might give them a call to clarify.

Please can you share the link to the revised fee. I try to search for it but I couldn't get it.

Hey guys, what are the rules regarding housing your partner at your parents residence? Can someone please clarify this to me? I'm thinking of using my parents address for fulfilling the accommodation requirement on my visa application and the house won't be overcrowded if he resides there. Will this hurt my application in any way?

Your parents will have to write a covering letter indicating how many rooms the house have, how many they will spare for you and your partner, their consent that both of you can live there comfortably without the house being overcrowded, Their consent that both of you are married. They will attach the energy bills, BT phone bills, house deeds and registery etc. Your parents will also attach a copy of their British passport. You will also attach a copy of any letter from the government(example HMRC tax letters) indicating that you live in the said address. Please let other members of the group help in stating the remaining things.

He cannot be refused his spousal visa for not paying his mobile phone bills. (BUT)
He might have had a CCJ against his name and once he arrives back within the system, the network providers would be chasing him for payment through debt collection agencies.
His credit file would already be impacted negatively

Thanks very much Lexus. I have called him and advised accordingly. You're such a genius. Weldone !!!!!!

I have a question please. A friend who applied for a spouse visa asked me this morning if his visa can be refused for not paying phone contract bills. While he was schooling in the UK, he got a mobile phone on contract and was paying monthly until he came back to Nigeria for his marriage to a British Babe. The wife has gone back to London. He has handed in his spouse visa application. However, his fear is that he might be refused since he has not been paying since April this year cos he's in Nigeria.
I don't know how best to advise him. Please can anyone help? Lexus and other gurus in the house abeg make una help o.

Hey Guys, I have this little issue; I submitted my application and sent the sent the following supporting documents to the UKVI from Nigeria but without my wife's (sponsor) P60. But my wife sent the P60 with a returning self addressed envelope to the UKVI on he same day i sent the documents from Nigeria. The home office sent me an email that they have received my package but without a returning envelope. I have been waiting to receive another email confirming the receipt of the P60 and returning envelope but to no avail. I have contacted the home office but customer service agent said they don't have the privilege to check visa status or to confirm if a posted material has arrived. Instead I should contact my mail company. My wife have contacted them and they confirm to have sent it . Please what should I do?

Q: Please what is the current black market rate for naira to a dollar?
A: As at this afternoon, USD 1 = NGN 473

Q: Which visa class has the IHS fee of $918 and visa fee of $442?
A: Tier 4 PBS (General) Student Visa ( Remember that IHS fees is calculated as GBP 200 x Number of years.) In my own case, Number of years = 4years.

Q: How much is the maximum for a UBA master card
A:The Default is up to the Equivalent of 1 Million Naira per day....This means that for example today (10-10-2016), you can pay 1,000,000 /473 = approx. USD 2,000

Meanwhile, you can visit a UBA bank to increase your daily spend limits.

Thanks very much LaaJiblik.

LaaJiblik:

Do you have a UBA-issued card? MasterCard or Visa Card?
If its a VISA card, you will need to set up an iPIN using an ATM (just like your normal ATM PIN).
You will be able to use you UBA-issued card.
However, be aware that the conversion rate will be done at the prevailing BLACK MARKET price for that day.

I learnt you can use Firstbank too, but I personally used UBA last week to pay $918.00 IHS and $442 Visa Application fees.
Good Luck!

Hello everyone, can I please be advised on how to go about IHS payment since there is a limit on naira cards. I read on tls website that you have to get an approval to increase the limit from your bank, has anyone done this please?
Purple1234
You can either tell your sponsor to pay from the UK or you go to travel agents around the city. They will use their card to pay for you while you give them the equivalent in naira. Hope that helps.

Please I need answer.
I attached only my taught Msc certificate from a UK university and my B.Eng certificate from a Nigerian university. Is that enough as a proof of my English language qualification for a spouse visa?
