Business / Re: Lucrative Business Ideas With N75m Capital by aokewole: 5:21pm On Jul 11, 2014
There are lots of things you can do, but none devoid of a healthy amount of risk. Sorry to hear that you got burned in Abuja, it happens to the best of us.

My advice is to keep the money in a fix deposit account in Nigeria paying 10% - 12%, then come back frequently to speak to people and find out what business you might be interested in with the least barriers to entry. The golden rule is that, any business too good to be true probably is, but there are still profitable ideas out there.

Business / Bank Financing - Success Stories!!! by aokewole: 2:31pm On Sep 14, 2013
Hello all,

I have been living in the UK for about 11 years and am now looking to start on a new project in Abuja with some family members. We have applied for 80% of the project financing requirements from the new Islamic bank - Jaiz Bank - and are currently awaiting an answer. I just thought that I would indulge Nairalanders to share with us their individual experiences raising all sorts of funds from Nigerian banks (not just Jaiz Bank) including start-up and expansion finance. It would be good to see which banks provide the best interest rates/tenors and how we all could ensure best chances of success if/when we choose to apply for financing.

Cheers guys. wink
