Dear VO,
The process of creating/registering an account online at ustraveldocs.com/ng in Nigeria for the purpose of passport and documents pickup after the interview is still a challenge.
One cannot even sign in at CGI Federal VPN Access Page, for the commencement of process.
VO, please can you help resolve this issue once and for all. Thanks

Dear VO,
Please is the appointment interview letter from the email enough for the medical exam and police certificate?
Or do we need to await for the hard copy of the appointment interview letter which will have letters addressed to the physician and the IG of police?

Please help with this issue.
Thanks

Dear VO,
WE got NVC checklist asking us to submit another country's (UK) police certificate.
This we have complied with for more than two weeks ago and news from them except that they have received the police certificate.

Our questions are:
Is NVC going to send us Case Complete letter AND/OR
send us our Interview letters?

Thank you as we await your response.

Good evening VO,
Please could you clarify for intending immigrant visa applicants:
- if the required vacinnations would be carried out by the medical outfit during medical exam.
- if not done during the medical exam, is the applicant obliged to have the vacinnations done else where?
Thanks

Aos29:
VO,
Please could you clarify the difference between these two terms:
1. Filing fee (I-130) is $535/applicant.
2. Immigrant visa fee is $535.

Is it that you had already paid for the immigrant visa when you filed the form I-130 OR
They are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

Good day VO,
Please could you be kind enough to discuss/clarify these issues:
- do we need to create an account online with customers service provider of US Consulate General Lagos, as indicated in one of their sites? As they say, to enable them to return your passport and other documents after your interview.

- bank tokens and phones are not allowed inside; what is bank token?

- is it necessary to frontload your documents and photos, if desired who does that, the petitioner or the principal applicant?
Thank you.

Hello VO,
You have been so helpful to us in this forum, pls do not relent even when sometimes we ask childish questions.

Now one issue, the NVC welcome letter's documents cover sheet listed among other documents the Police Certificate, that the applicant must send photocopies to NVC.
At what point do you get the police certificate, when you have not gotten package 4 that contains letters to IG of police and the hospital. Please I need clarification. Thanks
Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by Aos29: 12:48pm On Aug 10, 2017
VO,
Thanks for the the response. But the issue is the Petitioner's (who is in US) ORIGINAL birth and marriage certificates, to be sent to Nigeria for the purpose of interview in Nigeria.

Will photocopies of these documents NOT suffice?

We are still not clear on this issue of the petitioner sending down his/her original documents like birth and marriage certificates to the applicant in Nigeria for presentation during interview.

We will appreciate your help or anyone else who has been interviewed for immigrant visa, please.

VO
How true is that the immigrant applicant must bring to the visa interview among other documents, the original and photocopies of the Petitioner's birth and marriage certificates.

I was thinking that the petitioner could send the photocopy each of these documents.
Please clarify this. Thanks.

Thanks for your previous help. Now my questions are:
Q1: What is the difference between NVC welcome letter(ACL) and NVC welcome letter (PAOSF)?

Q2: Who does the submission of All the AOS Package and the IV Package?

Q3: Do they need to take an album of pictures OR just a few pictures of the petitioner and the parents?
Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by Aos29: 9:15am On Aug 02, 2017
For Visa officer
Q1: what is the difference between welcome letter ( Paosf) and welcome letter (Acl)?
Q2: I filed separate i-130 for my parents(mom and dad), should I fill ONE i-864 and make copy for my mom OR fill two separate i-864?
Q3: are they going to be interviewed separately and if what happens to the joint docs like marriage certificate?
I will appreciate it if you could clearify these things. Thanks
