@ OP You 're indeed in tough situation since both of you 're attracted to each other but there 're several issues here to be addressed First of all the student visa the issue here is that this guy maybe just here to study and will go back home after all is said and done in such case are you willing to cope with long distance relationship that can add whole a lot of stress The Second issue is the difference in religion and culture although there maybe similarities between Islam and Christianity there 're differences as well Also you 've to understand that the fact he refused to add you on FB is mainly because he doesn't want his family and friends to know he is mingling or seeing someone in school he might also feel that the time is not right As for pretending he is broke is just to test if you 're one of these gold diggers who might just be after his money You have to understand that these boys despite being well exposed and travelled they still prohibited from being in relationship with a foreign woman while abroad My advice to you is to be careful with your relationship with him I am afraid he is just looking for someone to enjoy himself with but he might be also genuine in his intentions only time will tell I don't agree with tpia saying 99% of arab men think black women 're whores and won't marry them As matter of fact my brother is married to a Senegalese woman and they 've 2 beautiful children My best friend is married to a Yoruba Christian girl from osun state and I know many other interracial marriage cases between Arab men and Black women it all comes down to love understanding and acceptance @ Inked Nerd Kedu Ka Ihe di ? hope we get together sometime soon |

Islam for Muslims / Re: Celebrating Mawlid by Araboy(m): 12:20pm On Feb 03, 2012 |
I am not surprised to see this type of ruling (Fatwa) coming from walid Basyouni a typical wahabi scholar The vice president of Al maghrib institute graduated from Saudi Arabia he studied under the supervision of two of the most rigid and extreme wahabi scholars Ibn baz and Al afifi Today in the muslim world there are different opinions about The Mawlid itself some Muslims like walid and his wahabi teachers say it is bida"a (innovation) others say it is advisable These salafis who say it is bida have no proof and even if we accept their argument they forgot that there are some good bida a We do celebrate Mawlid to praise The Prophet and remember Him Allah Says to the prophet in the Holy Quran "I am narrating to you the stories of the previous Prophets to fortify your Heart " I would say it is very good idea for a muslim also to listen to the stories of The Prophet to fortify his heart and himself For this reason and since the third century of hijra the Muslims may I say good Muslims are celebrating the Birth of The Prophet every year Muslims from Senegal to Indonisia celebrate this occasion by reading the poems of Imam Al Buseri especially his burda and Hamziya in which he praised The Prophet Person and Character I believe any Muslim will gain out from celebrating and remembering this great celebration As Muslims we do love The Prophet more than ourselves but we do not worship him We bear witness that there is no God but Allah and We bear witness that Prophet Mohamed is His servant and Messenger We also believe The Prophet is in the second position after Allah We believe He is not an ordinary Person like sadly some of these salafis might believe that He was an ordinary Person that if he died and we buried Him that the end of Him !! Subhana Allah Amma Yu Shrikun |

Family / Re: How Is Divorce Obtained Under Islamic Law by Araboy(m): 6:59pm On Jan 25, 2012 |
There are different schools of thought in Islam and there are separate rules for divorce ( Talaq ) according to Madhab some don't require witness but some do especially the school Malekite which is mainly followed in North and west Africa United Arab Emirates and Kuwait husband can initiate the divorce process by pronouncing Talaq saying 'i divorce you" the first two times maybe withdrawn but the third time is irrevocable Most scholars views the triple Talaq (divorce) in one sitting as Haram ( forbidden ) Sunni and Shia agreed on the 3 steps of divorce 1- Initiation 2-reconciliation 3- completion |
Family / Re: How Is Divorce Obtained Under Islamic Law by Araboy(m): 6:29pm On Jan 25, 2012 |
Not every divorce is commendable in Islam some cases of divorce are disliked or even forbidden because they entail destruction of the family which Islam takes care to build and form Quran stated "The most Halal (permissible thing ) to Allah is divorce" Surah 2:102 In Islam divorce should be only justified if the two parties failed to reconcile after several attempts of counseling A Muslim man can't divorce his wife when he is drunk angry or under pressure He can't divorce her in her menstrual period He should know that he would be responsible of her maintenance during next 3 months ten days after the divorce As a Muslim man can initiate the divorce through an Imam Qadi ( Muslim Judge) or even a regular person You have to make the divorce public it has to be written and witnessed by two other persons A woman can also initiate a divorce but that is not our subject for now |

I found Gov.Daniels speech depressing and pessimistic the funny things he was talking about deficit when himself was President Bush's Budget Director who turn the budget from surplus to deficit During all his speech he was trying to shift the debate and blame Obama policies |
