I don't want to hear. That's the medium you use in spreading your propaganda. Just give me a link to view the budgets as specified within the said years.

Insult all you want mister, it still doesn't erase your reputation on this forum as a peddler of propaganda cheesy

And before you re-construct what I've said so far to suit your 'propaganda-hunting' agenda, the crux of my submissions is:

1. The NPA sited an international seaport in Lagos. Let them also upgrade the other seaports or site a new one at the SE/SS region that have shorelines. If the North has shorelines, we all know they'ld have had a seaport

2. The current seaport in Lagos is congested. The market for a new one is already there. So if I'm wrong saying the success of the new one is based on the existence of the old one, you can kindly ignore that. It is not every challenge that must be risen to.

3. There has been a call for decongestion of Lagos, especially those from the SS/SE region. A good number of them are just here for business purpose. A huge amount of cash is being wasted on logistics for goods from Lagos to Onitsha; which could have been avoided if there is an alternative.

The FG is not building Badagry deep seaport, it's the Lagos state Government with private investors.

Your useless, incompetent and lazy village governors too can team up private investors to build theirs too just like Lagos state.

You can scream and yell for the NPA to fetch you water to bath with and to even make you okra and eba for the rest of your life, that's your problem, but unlike your useless and incompetent leaders, Lagos state has never waited for the FG to do anything for them, they do their own thing and this is what's driving you crazy.

If trade and logistics money is so important to you and your onisha village, then ask your village leaders to get off their lazy asx and build seaport for you, oh I forgot, you don't have any sea so what are you crying about? You want a deep seaport in Enugo or Anambra? lmao....

You want airport, you beg beg and beg FG

You want bridge, you beg beg and beg FG

Lagos state built Lekki Ikoyi bridge, the most beautiful bridge in Nigeria while you and your useless leaders sit on your hands and still waiting for the same FG after 30 years to build your village 2nd NB.

You people are like invalids that the FG must carry and spoon feed like babies while the rest of the country move forward..

You and all these your exaggerated 'copy and paste' propaganda. You nevet run out of them, do you?

Reading and comprehension is definitely not your forte.

You attributed the ability of the Lagos state government to team up with investors to build seaports to the FG and the existence of FG ports in Lagos when in fact this is more about the Lagos state blessed with sane and credible leaders looking out for Lagos state and their economic future, something your own Lazy and incompetent leaders don't know how to do, all they teach you losers to do is to always point at the FG and never their incompetence and laziness..

Is the FG building the new seaport in Badagry? No. So what's your silly cry and argument about the FG got to with the dep seaport in Badagry?

You should look in the mirror for senselessness and incoherent.

And what's cut and paste propaganda about Akpabio budgeting billions every year for Ibaka and still not even ordinary fence to show? Didn't you ask why the FG is not channeling same dedication into developing and maintaining a competent seaport in?

Of course you don't want to hear about Akpabio budgeting and looting funds for ibaka seaport... This is all you mentally lazy people do, you excuse and make excuses for lazy, corrupt and incompetent people while having sleepless nights over Lagos state and leaders who are really working to better their states and their people......

You mind explaining to us why Akpabio spent billions on a white elephant football field instead of seaport?

Useless people.

I believe you are aware that NPA isn't a Lagos State Government agency? The wharf we know in Lagos today was built by the NPA and that opened Lagos to the monopoly of being the sole imports route. Lagos State is able to tap into the idea of a new seaport because the success of the first, along with other favours including the current congestion at the port has put it on that pedestal to dream big. All I'm asking is that let the FG channel same dedication into developing and maintaining a competent seaport in this region. Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Rivers are strategically positioned like Lagos to house such responsibility.

1. The fact that the FG is responsible for any port in Lagos has nothing to do with the Lagos state government teaming up with private entities to build better and modern seaports in Lagos state.

2. Lagos state is tapping into the idea of 2 new deep seaports because of their own economic desires and future development and not because of any FG ports.

People like you make lazy thinking excuses for incompetent and lazy state governors. It's like saying Lagos state is building the 10 lane Lagos/Badagry expressway with Metro rail just to tap into any FG related project or the Lagos state government built the Lekki Ikoyi bridge just to tap into some FG bridge project.

This has got to be the most absurd and ridiculous argument ever...

3. If you have the capacity to build anything on your own and if the need and market is there for you to justify it and make it successful, then go ahead and build it.

Only lazy, irresponsible, incompetent and vision less leaders wait and sit on their hands for the FG to build anything for them.

Despite the yearly allocation of several billions of naira for the construction of a proposed greenfield deep seaport at Ibaka in Akwa Ibom State by both the State Government and the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) since 2011, the project has remained elusive, with no evidence of a port being built at the proposed site.

The project is missing in the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan and in the list of similar projects planned in partnership between the federal government and state government, with expectations of private investors collaborations, investigations by LEADERSHIP have revealed.

The Ibaka Deep Seaport, a project for which the federal ministry of transport, the NPA and the Akwa Ibom State Government have held several workshops and taken commendations at several events is also missing in a maritime and air transport report prepared by Steer Davies Gleave for the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) hosted by

The African Development Bank.

The study, which was carried out to assess the potential for enhanced private participation in the maritime and air transport sectors in Africa however identified the Lekki Deep Seaport measuring 970m of container berths, 320m dry bulk berth, 1-2 oil berths and located 60km east of Lagos.

The Badagry greefield port, Koko Port and Olokola Port were also listed with their capacity and promoters.

The water at Ibaka is said to have a natural draft of 11 metres, without dredging, making it a huge potential for possible deep seaport construction.

Akwa Ibom State has continued to budget for the port, which Governor Godswill Akpabio said would create employment for 100,000 Nigerians.

The NPA had also told LEADERSHIP in Uyo at the PCC meeting that the deep seaport would be completed in 2015.

When LEADERSHIP visited the proposed site of the deep seaport at Ibaka, there was nothing to show that a seaport was being planned at coastal community.

A lonely dilapidated narrow road, better described as a colonial road leads to Ibaka, from Oron. As early as 2011, the Akwa Ibom State Governor told a Nigeria Ports Consultative Council (PCC) meeting in Uyo that his government had concluded plans to dualise the road.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201312160580.html

Akpabio budgets billions every year for this invisible seaport.

1. Ibaka seaport is not in the FG gazette and there is zero FG budget for it.

Meaning the FG doesn't know anything about this seaport officially

2. Akpabio budgets billions for this bridge every year with not even bush clearing or fence erected.

Meaning Akpabio pockets free billions every year.

Have you asked Akpabio what happened to the project and the billions he budgeted for the project and pocketed?

You people cry and yell over what credible and competent leaders in Lagos state are doing to better their state, but you wont ask your own state governors what they are doing or have done to better their states and your lives. You just sit and cry and cry, you wait for the FG to tie your shoes for you and even wife your asssx after shitting....

You are your own problem, not Lagos state or the FG..

I'll always credit this man anytime, any day. His handwork and wonderful impact on Lagos is so immense and definitely going to be everlasting.

1. $14 billion Dangote refinery was slated to be built in Ondo state, but the PDP and Mimiko were playing games with the project so Fashola stepped in and did everything under the sun to move the refinery project and the single largest private investment in Africa to Lagos which is going to make Lagos the largest producer of petroleum products in Africa with the largest refinery, largest fertilizer plant and largest petrochemical plant in Africa.

2. The Badagry deep seaport was championed by Fashola back in 2012 and the APM stated as one of the advantages for the project is the 10 lane Badagry which again Fashola championed and promoted.

Our site is located just outside metropolitan Lagos along the Benin-Lagos expressway which is currently being upgraded from a 4-lane to a 10-lane highway. When completed, the new road will offer superior connectivity to all of Nigeria’s Western and Northern states and ensure the port becomes the lasting replacement for congested metro-Lagos area ports going forward.

http://www.badagry-port.com/location-connectivity.php

3. Many of his visions are still on tap like the Lekki deap seaport and Lekki Airport..

This is how hardworking and credible leaders with vision plan ahead and connect all the dots to achieve meaningful goals and development...

Okay where are the goods that needs to be exported or you just want to build a giant elephant. Where are the factories, industries ,incentives to attract investors.

1. The deep seaport itself is an investment, a major investment since it's going to be the largest deep seaport in Africa.

2. For any investor or entity to invest $billions in any environment especially in Lagos, they must have been offered mouth watering incentives to do so.

3. 1st, there must be ready made infrastructures and import and export facilities at the FTZ to attract factories and industries and not the other way around like factories and industries first before FTZ import and export infrastructures.

4. Ikeja, Apapa, Matori, Ilupeju and Mushin industrial estates are Nigeria's industrial power house and they have been since the 50's, but the factories and industries moved in because Awolowo created the estates and built the infrastructures first which was the main magnet and attraction for industries and factories..

5. Like any business, there's always risks involved which is their problem and not yours..

Private investors are building the deep seaport and they have been building and managing successful seaports all over the world so they have obviously done their home work based on their business model and profit potential before investing their money.

The FG is indeed allergic to development, but the problem goes deeper than that, it extends to tribal and regional sabotage by the head of state or president in power, politics and shallow an shortsighted thinking to make sure one region doesn't develop faster than their or other regions.

What happened to the 1st Lagos Metro Rail system back in the 80's was pure tribalism and sabotage to slow down progress in the SW.

Lagos state lost millions of dollars on that project and in fact, till recently the FG was still deducting funds from that project from Lagos state's allocations, same with the Lagos state's first 271MW IPP, we are still paying for FG sabotage with allocation deductions.

Look at Dangote refinery in Lagos, this is the largest investment in AFRICA at the moment, we are talking about the largest single refinery in the world, largest petrochemicals, fertilizer plants in Africa costing over $14 billion.

The point is, this project was slated for Olokola FTZ in Ondo state, but the silly PDP state and governor played games endlessly with the project before Fashola jumped in and did everything under the sun to divert the project and Dangote to Lagos. That was a major investment coup and Mimiko should forever bury his head in shame.

Like I said before, Lagos don't give up, they just keep coming back regardless of the set back.

Can you share with us how the:

a) 3 Senators
b) 10 Representatives

from Lagos state in NASS dealt with this alleged federal impediment at the legislative level?
Assuming that your story is not false, GEJ would still be a venerable Saint compared to Buhari who cancelled Jakande's metro line in 1984 after jailing the poor man and paying breach of contract fines in a depressed economy.
As for Tinubu and Obasanjo on Enron barge scandal, they were simply playing politics with their foolish fellow citizens. Are they not waving their APC broom together now?

[b]While the Blue Line (Okokomaiko -Marina) corridor is now reaching about 96 per cent completion, with expected test running commencing in the next two months, work on the red line had met a brick wall as the Federal Government has failed to respond to a request by the state government to allow it use the Federal Government’s right of way.

It would be recalled that the state governor, Babatunde Fashola had repeatedly stated that the red line light rail project has not commenced because the Federal Government has failed to respond to the application to allow the state government make use of the right of way from Iddo for the commencement of the project.

Sharing the same view, the All Progressives Congress (APC ) had also accused President Goodluck Jonathan of being hypocritical over his persistent claim of reviving the railway when he has bluntly refused to grant the necessary right-of-way approval to the Lagos Metropolitan Transport Authority (LAMATA ) for the construction of its redline light rail project from Iddo to Ifo in Ogun State

4. Lagos is already ahead of Nigeria in so many ways, Nigeria can not even attempt the kinds of projects Lagos state dabbles into.

The same fraction of Nigeria is economically larger than almost 50 African countries and it was 7th largest just a few years ago so getting to number 1 in Africa is just a matter of just another few years.

Lagos economically is more diversified than Nigeria's economy, it's not a single product economy or oil dependent.

The fact that Lagos is part of Nigeria doesn't mean it's still not the 5th largest economy in Africa.
