indonesia now produce 60 % of World Palm Oil production and make Billions USD from it , is unfortunate in 1960's naija was the biggest producer & produce half of worlds Palm oil , now accounted 7% of world output only , naija turn back Agriculture while in the develop country like USA , AUstralia or Japan they keep their agriculture industry florish and even protect it USDA Urges Americans to Prevent Invasive Pests, Protect American Agriculture http://www.aphis.usda.gov/newsroom/2012/04/invasive_pests_month.shtml WASHINGTON, April 2, 2012—The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) today announced that it is dedicating the month of April to sharing information about the threat that invasive plant pests, diseases and harmful weedsThis is an external link or third-party site outside of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) website. pose to America's fruits, vegetables, trees, and other plants—and how the public can help prevent their spread. APHIS works each day to promote U.S. agricultural health and safeguard the nation's agriculture, fishing and forestry industries. Palm Oil Exports From Indonesia Surge to Highest in Eight Months http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-11-18/palm-oil-exports-from-indonesia-surge-to-highest-in-eight-months.html Palm oil shipments from Indonesia, the world’s largest producer, climbed to the highest level in eight months in October as a decline in supplies of substitute oils in India and China spurred demand from the biggest buyers. Exports increased 13 percent to 1.86 million metric tons from 1.64 million tons in September, the Indonesian Palm Oil Association, said in an e-mailed statement today. That’s the highest since 1.92 million tons shipped in February and compared with 1.42 million tons in October 2012, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Shipments beat the median estimate of 1.7 million tons in a Bloomberg survey published Nov. 12. Increased demand for palm oil, used in everything from candy to cosmetics, amid a drop in output due to heavy rains, may help extend a rally in prices. Futures in Kuala Lumpur entered a bull market this month and are heading for their first annual gain in three years on concern that production in Indonesia and Malaysia, the top growers, may trail estimates.

Its a good move by amosun , and I think will benefiting Ogun state very soon.... AMOSUN VISIT SURABAYA -INDONESIA OGUN State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, with some members of his executive council, are now in Indonesia to participate in a week-long discussion with investors and top government officials in one of the provinces of the South- Asian country. The team, comprising commissioners in charge of works and infrastructure, budget and planning, culture and tourism and environment as well as special advisers to the governor on trade and investment, housing, research and documentation and special assistant on agriculture, will in Surabaya, one of the provinces in Indonesia, hold talks with investors in areas ranging from agriculture and forestry, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals to tourism. It will also explore possibility of co-operating with the Asians in using technology to enhance the production of adire fabric on commercial basis for export markets. Governor Amosun had held a private meeting with the governor of Surabaya, Indonesia, Dr. H. Soekarwo, and both men will this weekend sign a joint memorandum signifying the beginning of co-operation between their two states on several issues. Amosun and his team would also participate in a business forum to be attended by leading Indonesian industrialists and it will afford the Ogun State team the opportunity to showcase what makes the state the gateway to opportunities in Nigeria and at the moment, a choice destination http://www.tribune.com.ng/news2013/index.php/en/news/news-headlines/item/26969-amosun-in-indonesia,-seeks-direct-investment-for-ogun.html
