Politics / Re: Nigerian Doctor Was “not” Cured Of Ebola(the Doctor Never Had Ebola) by Arosa(m): 1:51pm On Aug 18, 2014
obailala: To the best of my knowledge, it was never mentioned anywhere that Nano-Silver was used to cure ebola in Nigeria (it hasn't even been tested yet); neither did the health minister nor anyone else ever say that the Nigerian doctor was CURED. It is general knowledge that some ebola patients do recover from the ailment if given proper care and I believe that is the case of the Nigerian doctor.

So who is the ediot circulating these flimsy allegations??

By the way, why is there no source for the report??

I guess he is an arising "confusion-ist" on the loose. grin grin
Politics / Re: Nigerian Doctor Was “not” Cured Of Ebola(the Doctor Never Had Ebola) by Arosa(m): 5:18pm On Aug 17, 2014
What a carry-on! The Nigerian health minister never said they used nano silver to cure anybody, in fact they said they rejected the use of it.

Politics / Re: Six Compelling Reasons Not To Panic About Ebola by Arosa(m): 2:43pm On Aug 17, 2014
GenBuhari: Don't think that it is your duty to ensure Nigerians know how they can contract this virus?

The information might help them, it can also get to the wrong hands. At this time I don't think we need to worry too much. Ebola is under control in Nigeria, that is what matters. lipsrsealed

I love it!!!

So you have secret information that nobody can get hold of - not even terrorists?

GenBuhari: The enlighten us about how Ebola is spread

I'm tempted to discourse it, but it's obviously a bad idea, cos terrorists might use it against us. i'm not going to give them ideas. NO.
Politics / Re: Six Compelling Reasons Not To Panic About Ebola by Arosa(m): 2:19pm On Aug 17, 2014
GenBuhari: You are wrong.

I don't think so, do you for example contact malaria from somebody that died of the disease, by just a touch?
Politics / Re: Six Compelling Reasons Not To Panic About Ebola by Arosa(m): 2:15pm On Aug 17, 2014
GenBuhari: I am not saying not to take it seriously, just not to panic.

Our usual precautions against deadly diseases such as malaria, hepatitis, etc should suffice.

No, those precautions are insufficient because they don't spread the same way.
Politics / Re: Six Compelling Reasons Not To Panic About Ebola by Arosa(m): 2:02pm On Aug 17, 2014
GenBuhari: It is no more cantagious than hepatitis, less than flu and less than measles.

I agree, nevertheless we must take it very seriously. I will like for you to know that like you, I don't support the use of experimental vaccines on Nigerians. I prefer direct treatment.
Politics / Re: Six Compelling Reasons Not To Panic About Ebola by Arosa(m): 1:56pm On Aug 17, 2014
@op we all know that ebola has not reached an epidemic stage in Nigeria yet but it is very contagious and can reach an epidemic level easily if not managed well. Although I must agree that you are right there are worse disease out there, ebola can and will be tamed in Nigeria.

abatically:

Best comment ever. I don't know why people keep blaming Obama. Nigeria is an independent country, USA is also an independent country. Both countries have their own problems, if America thinks for some reason they can't release zmapp (an experimental drug) to Nigeria, its no big deal. Its a challenge to us to make our own research and stop playing the blame game.

Just picture this..... America releases zmapp to Nigeria, it was used on Ebola patients and leads to a catastrophe, now what would be the comment of Nigerians?

Well said!

barcanista: we av dongoyaro tree at home. We fit chew am lyk dat?

I'm not an expert on traditional medicine. However I can tell you for a fact that when I had fever as a kid, my granny would cook this dongoyaro and some other leaves for me to inhale the steam while having a steam bath. It usually takes care of the fever. grin

The dongoyaro leaves is something that should be looked into, we should try everything we have. The Ishan people of Edo state are very good in Traditional medicine, we should ask them for help. undecided

The dongoyaro leave is medicinal it can also be used as pesticide. We should also try it on Ebola.

UrbanMystique: I know... But the argument is based on topic..

And the point is, we don't have to accept that something is bad cos America say so which that half brain ediot called MissMeiya is trying to do here but after research and experiments by others too.

You have a valid point there.

Health / Re: Breaking:- FG Sacks All Resident Doctors by Arosa(m): 12:39pm On Aug 15, 2014
The solution to all these problem is, Nigeria should put in place a universal health system, that requires all Nigerian citizen to pay health tax to fund/sustain it. (But the FG will have to kick start it with massive funding, it will later sustain itself from taxing) *importantly it should be run by a Nigerian in diaspora with experience in this area of work. undecided

numericalguy: Dumb black people especially Nigerians don't know that Islam introduced mathematics to the world.

The 1,2,3,4,5,6... that you have been studying since primary school is Arabic
Muslims are the first people to introduce the number 0 (zero) to the world.
Muslims introduced the science of Mathematics to the otherwise illiterate Europeans.

Watching CNN and BBC alone will never educate you.
Read! Read!! Read!!!

The muslims may have introduced zero to the world but Indians(non-muslims) knew about it earlier. undecided
