It is general knowledge that some ebola patients do recover from the ailment if given proper care and I believe that is the case of the Nigerian doctor.

@op we all know that ebola has not reached an epidemic stage in Nigeria yet but it is very contagious and can reach an epidemic level easily if not managed well. Although I must agree that you are right there are worse disease out there, ebola can and will be tamed in Nigeria.

Both countries have their own problems, if America thinks for some reason they can't release zmapp (an experimental drug) to Nigeria, its no big deal. I'm not an expert on traditional medicine. However I can tell you for a fact that when I had fever as a kid, my granny would cook this dongoyaro and some other leaves for me to inhale the steam while having a steam bath. It usually takes care of the fever.

The solution to all these problem is, Nigeria should put in place a universal health system, that requires all Nigerian citizen to pay health tax to fund/sustain it. (But the FG will have to kick start it with massive funding, it will later sustain itself from taxing) *importantly it should be run by a Nigerian in diaspora with experience in this area of work.
