Never. She is appealing to a part of the electorate that will use and dump her as soon as a "white" knight appears.

She is disliked within her own party and she can't go to Reform, which better suits her right wing politics, because thst Party already has a lunatic like Nigel Farage that rules the roost.

Kudos to her for surviving these last elections sha, her disgrace is only being delayed if she doesn't repent from her "I am an immigrant but" style of politics.

Go to their birth communities in Ikirun Osun, Akoko, Ayingba, Ikare, Ilesa, Modakeke, Iwo, Iremo, etc where they come from, Fulani herdsmen have taken over but they will be pointing accusing fingers at Igbos claiming Igbos have all left their region, funny people cheesy

They are migrating to a place where their ancestral language is spoken, what is wrong in that? They certainly can lay more claim to the place the've migrated to than those whose ancestral language is different from where they have migrated to.

Reno is sincere by owning up that Obidients have brought him to nothing and that's why his anger against Peter Obi. Reno lost all the source of his livelihood the time he began messing with the Obidients. All he is doing now is simply seeking for a revenge, and the more he does that, he even makes Obi popular. His school challenge made people know that Lagos has the worst school structures in Nigeria and Sanwolu began to seek for loan to rehabilitate lagos state schools. Obidients are the bomb, you mess with us, we leave you with an irreparable damage

You are wrong, Reno has made it his mission to challenge Obidients (via Peter Obi) because Obidients foolishly and pathetically threatened his young daughter.

He can't be that poor if he is offering to put certain monies in a neutral account, I believe 25 million naira, if Obidients can bring proof of things Peter Obi has done that they foolishly claimed. By the way till today Obidients are yet to prove him wrong to claim said monies.

Obidients are not the bomb, they are the sh1ts as Reno has proved by continuously fact checking them and him receiving insults and abuses rather than being counter fact checked.

And we're here fighting cos we don't want someone from a particular tribe to rule Nigeria meanwhile in the UK, we never hear say we don't want people from Africa to hold public office

No reasonable person ever says they don't want someone from a particular tribe to rule, they might not want candidates of bullying and abusive supporters to rule which us different.

By the way, in that same UK, a fair few people still have the mindset that they don't want people with foreign ancestry to rule, they don't just say it out for people to hear.

Rishi Sunak for example was initially blocked by rank and file Tories from assuming the Party's leadership and it was given to a rank incompetent and very inferior Liz Truss who proceeded in less tham a month to destroy the economy. First time Sunak goes to the country for election, the party's majority MP's was blitzed with lots of Tories voting Reform or other candidates.

So don't hold UK up to anybody as an example of decency or perfection as regards the disregarding of ancestry of candidates.

what I have said is the position taken by anyone with common sense

Only a two state solution is rhe solution to this crisis
Zionists (Bibi and co) and other terrorists (Hamas) are both trying to play smart with it
it's just too bad that innocent ppl are being caught up in the mess.

What Hamas did was reprehensible
What Israel did and still doing is ALSO reprehensible (the civilian casualty part
)

The ordinary Palestinian have suffered so much and deserve better......
They are human beings too, not cockroaches...
Too bad they are being used as pawns in geopolitical games being played between deluded actors (zionists vs Arab)

Well said, the current "solution" is clearly not working.

Israelis don't know when the next attack is coming from, ordinary Palestines can't do anything about The zionist attacking them in revenge instead of doing their due diligence to focus on. Hamas or Hezbollah.

Same as with apartheid, unnatural situations must and will eventually be evened out. The sooner the better.

Politics / Re: Ungrateful UK Prime Minister Under Fire For Failing To Thank Peter Obi by aswani(m): 2:08pm On Jul 06
NLCreator:
Britain's Labour Party leader Keir Starmer has come under fire for failing to publicly thank his Nigerian counterpart, Mr. Peter Obi, whose tweet of endorsement ended 14 years of right-wing conservative rule. This supernatural feat has left many scratching their heads, especially since Obi couldn't help himself win the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, though supporters blame election rigging.

"This is sad. After all that Peter Obi has done for him, he couldn't even say 'thank you'," said an angry-looking Chukwudi, sipping a cup of garri in his 2-by-2 shop in Abia. "For 14 years, they couldn't achieve anything. It took Obi a single tweet to end the conservative run. But what did Obi get in return? Such an ungrateful fellow!" Chukwudi continued, as he updated his Twitter bio to "Expert at Installing Governments."

Meanwhile, local tomato hawker Chimamanda found the situation even more tragic for democracy. "I supported Starmer's Labour because Peter Obi instructed us to. I campaigned for the party with all my strength here in Awka. I gave away free tomatoes to the people of Anambra with Starmer's picture on them to show my support. Nothing says 'Vote Labour' like a juicy tomato with a British politician's face on it!. They won because of our support. The least they could do after emerging victorious was to appreciate our efforts and thank Peter Obi. But because we're black, they didn't find us worthy. Bunch of racist betrayers!"

However, some observers suggested that it might be too early to draw conclusions, speculating that Starmer could have thanked Obi privately. "Guys, I don't think it's right to conclude Obi was betrayed just yet," said Pastor Ogbu. "It's true Obi endorsed him publicly, and Starmer ought to appreciate and thank Obi publicly as well, but it's possible he already did that in private and Obi is fine with it. Obi hasn't even complained. Let's wait for instructions and avoid the temptation of premature conclusions," he added, while checking his phone for any new secret endorsement deals on Twitter.

In an unexpected twist, reports have emerged that supporters of North Korea's supreme leader, Kim Jong-un, are now wooing Peter Obi for an endorsement to help the dictator win his next "election." "We have seen the power of Obi's tweets," said a North Korean spokesperson. "If he can end 14 years of conservative rule in the UK with one tweet, imagine what he can do for our Supreme Leader. We are willing to pay him in nuclear warheads or unlimited bottles of Hero beer, whichever he prefers."

You no well Walahi, you no go make heaven for dis tin you right do.

We have some seriously talented people in this Nigeria sha.

This is excellent stuff, you have done well and should be paid for stuff like this.

Great Britain is a country of unending restructuring of the country's political process.

You with your group in Nigeria may want to have a separate country wrestled to the ground by agitations from different quarters, and leave others go away for their own new countries where complainants are listened to and not imprisoned. The clouds are gathering in Nigeria.

You can thank Owelle for blocking the secession clause that Awo and Ahmadu Bello proposed.

By the way, I have no problems with whoever wants to break away (particularly now that Peter Obi post an election) doing so, I was just calling you out on using UK as an example of harmony.

If you want to breakaway, Nairaland is not where to complain if you haven't spoken to your Senators about them at least proposing a bill.

Finally, maybe Kanu shouldn't be urging people of other tribes to be killed and locations in ala Yoruba to be destroyed etc in his quest for secession, that's on him though.

UK has peaceful elections.

In Great Britain, if Scotland or Wales or Northern Ireland feels short-changed at any point, and asks for political changes or restructuring UK's political process, England and rest of the Uk listen to them..

You are quite wrong, why do you think there were problems in Northern Ireland not too long ago that it took the Americans and the good Friday agreement to help resolve?

Why are the Scottish National Party (until these last elections) and Plaid Cymru gaining ground.

Exactly because England (ergo Westminster) are not listening to the regions.

For a recent example, Scotland's "share" of the Brexit referendum suggested they wanted to stay in Europe and they are still angry till today that they haved to follow England/Westminster who opted to leave.

Find a better example for your agitation, the UK isn't a good one.

Wow! Kemi Adegoke Badenoch survived the shellacking that swept away the Conservative Party from power. She is very likely to emerge as the leader of the Conservative Party. All major media platforms in the UK are already projecting her as the next Tory leader.

Congratulations to her and other UK politician of Nigerian ancestry that won election to the House of Commons.

Kẹmi will never be Tory leader, she and Suella foolishly twerking for the hard core right wingers in the party, most of whom voted Reform anyway, will soon be pushed to the fringes of their party.

The Tories have learnt their lessons from this elections and are now in a furious race to head to right of centre seeing as Labour pushed them away from there, not a hope in hell they will allow divisive figures like the two I mentioned to drag them further to the right.

I am also not going to congratulate Kẹmi who is a liar (ok all politicians are) and a blatant opportunist that has no problem besmirching Nigeria to further get career.

Also, when you are derided so much by your opponents that they discuss stepping down for each other to kick you out, you must be an slowpoke which she is.

Kẹmi will end up on the back benches sooner rather than later and might at some point cross over to Reform with like minded imbeciles.
