Also you always have to be consistent. Her mum is the sponsor but its her step dad bank statement... then no her step dad is the sponsor not her mum .

I dont really know what verification caused the issue . Its hard to say . ....also the issue of name difference how you typed it is not really clear

Hello my e family I have an experience of a cousin of mine to share for your comments and advice
She had her interview with the US consulate abuja post on the 16th of August, the interview went smoothly according to all questions asked was answered to vo satisfaction according to her.
She was asked her sponsor which is her mum, but the surname is different initially the
Vo went through the bank statement and returned to her. At the completion of the interview the vo request the bank statement again that she want to verify before she will issued her visa. The passport and the statement was collected and she was put on administrative processing. On the at the close of day on the 18 her status had changed to refused.

Meanwhile she used her step father which is name the mum bears now as her father different for her surname

My question now

Is it the name difference that caused the refusal?

I used to know bank verification takes weeks

Ur suggestions about the reason for the refusal

And again can she reapply?

How does she now justify the name difference?

Will they be ready to listen to why she used her step father ad her father?

Ur advice please.
And meanwhile the passport status is still reading under process with the US embassy as at this moment

And no email sent to her till this moment.

If he applied online, let him check his cic account if it has been saved there. If not, let him send a reminder mail to Accra. Sometimes they delay in responding, probably because of peak period.

But one thing I will advise is that he should never let them go unless they bless him with the Medical form

send a mail to accraimmigration. it's in the mail they sent to u. they will reply in about 5 working days. mine came the same way (without medical form), then I wrote to them through all the email available in the email sent to me. they replied in 5day but on the 8 day after the first medical mail my application was dispatch from accra when I have not even done the medicals. they could be funny sometimes. yet to pick up my documents.

Let him send accra cic an email. They will send the attached form (did same thing for my daughter).

This people sef, for some people, they will attach only stamped passport data page, for some only unfilled medical request form, some only filled medical request form, while others both filled medical form and stamped passport page... In all the most important document is the "filled medial request form".
Thanks he has send the mail how long does it take dem to reply he is already in Lagos now for the medicals but he has to wait for the form

What am about to say might not go down well with you. am also an engineer with a first degree in chemical engineering and currently doing masters here in australia. what am about saying is out of love and not as a hater. IF I WERE U I WILL COME TO OZ VIA PR (PERMANENT RESIDENCE) no need to come and waste your money especially when u plan on not being an academic. it will be better to enter and come do a six months internship to have australian work experience before starting to look for work than to come here all in an effort to get post work study after spending thousands of dollars with no access to scholarships like our brothers and sisters in the united states. if u have plenty money or on scholarship its a different case entirely. as for me i never looked at the PR critically until i was over invested in the whole student visa parade. Dont get it wrong coming to do Masters here is noble but i am asking you to do your COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS. truth is after school and ur post work study big ass employers still want u to have PR before they employ u. i have been here three months and 10 days now. in this time i have started my PR waka thanks to all the info i got from the lengends on this forum Bosslady et al. i decided to be proactive and have gone to several recruiters like chandler macloed, Hays and spoken to several other recruitment advisors in this firms. my general strategy was to inform them about my circumstance and ask them for advice on how to integrate myself into the industry after my program. BROS i cant begin to speak the english that i heard. plenty advice "Reasonable and unreasonable" the bottom line was I NEEDED PR ASAP. i have met other nigerians who came here with PR and working professional jobs with only BSC. if i get hold of that PR today all this acada will turn distant learning at my convenience or part time. MORAL OF MY STORY.... PR without work experience is better than masters without paper... so just take your time and come via PR. but if u are not patient enough you can still come ooooh its still waaaaaaay better than being in naija with all this drama and all. just be prepared to work your ass off to foot your bills if you dont have enough support from home.

Another, cool School may be CIT, Canberra Institute of Technology, but I doubt if they will have your program, they don't have long thing at all.

Any1 that needs advice regarding Schs and Student Visa applications, I will advice. Please any1 that has more exp in PR applications should kip advising the house, and I want to use the medium to appeal to all our gurus in the House: "Pls DON'T GO!!! while we appeal that Bosslady should come back.

My extended family I hail una again oh .. On the 30th of April I told u guys I applied for postgraduate studies to an Australian uni. Today I got an offer for MSc Project Management in ECU. I'd pay for my COE by Friday and do medicals by Monday. I thank u guys for bringing me up to speed here and will appreciate any further advice prior to my visa application..
