My bad, I only just realised I strayed into the thread for economic migrants (UK Branch) grin

While we're at it I hope you guys remember to visit Nigeria occasionally so you can get some natural Vitamin D from the sun and eat real Nigerian delicacies such as...
suya,
efo riro,
ofe onugbu,
amala ati ewedu
nkwobi,
gbegiri
ofe nsala garnished with mangala fish
point and kill,
bush meat
African salad
akara
moin-moin
masa
akamu
okpa with a bottle of Coke
ewa agoyin ati Agege bread

I know some of you are already salivating grin

Too bad, continue eating your chicken and chips, burger, spaghetti with sauce that does not contain pepper and the rest of the tasteless oyinbo food tongue
Maybe you are refering to people in canada .UK people eat everything u also eat in naija if u need to know .

Hello Elders, please I need your input in this. Someone I know was on student dependent visa and was working as a support worker. Along the line she got pregnant and went on maternity leave but was not entitled to statutory maternity pay so she got maternity allowance. She has verbally told employer she would stay up to 9 months for her maternity leave. During her leave her visa was about to expire when she approached her employer for the possibility of a sponsorship. Employer agreed and gave her a cos which she has applied for the visa.

Employer is now insisting she resumes immediately, meanwhile she is still trying to arrange childcare and all before the previously agreed time (9 months). Nb employer is threatening to cancel Cos and withdraw sponsorship.

Please how should she approach this?
Tell her to go and join union. Union go like a case like this as Pregnancy and Matenity remain one of the 9 protected characteristics that no employer mess up with .

It’s not forgery — it’s my real driving experience in Nigeria, without making a single insurance claim. The verification is done from FRSC head office Abuja. Why you would think of the negative instead of reading what I wrote, I would never know. My question is it acceptable for UK insurers as proof of NCD?
NCD is only applicable for comprehensive insurance holder .

Hi everyone,
I just registered with Mashmallow Insurance with my UK provisional driver's license.

I indicated that I had driven for 13 years while back in Nigeria and made no claims before coming to the UK.

Now the vehicle insurance is requesting a "proof of your no-claims discount." How do I go about this?

Your kind advice is needed.

Thanks
Talk to your insurance in nigeria

I guess that should be admiral ?

Thanks for this explanation. @ the bolded, while filling the form, i always pick the lowest amount, maybe i’d get something better if i increase it a little. Make i try am again
Lest i forget ,another legal way of reducing your premuim:
If you own a comprehensive insurance from naija and you have a record of not making a claim at least for a year , you can request for NCD( No claims discount) .Some insurance do take it here to reduce premiums.

You can read up on the downside of increasing your excesses for your own informed decision ;

Good day guys, please i bought a car yesterday and i’ve been trying to get a cheap insurance but the lowest i’ve seen at Confused.com is £1400 per annum. Please i need something a little lower for a 2015 Ford Fiesta car. Please how do i go about it? Thanks in advance
1400 is not bad especially if you are first timer ,note that with time it wil automatically come down .However ,you can work on on some parameters like your voluntary and compulsory excess cost proposed .See if you can still get a more better bargain by increasing your excesses cost .What you dont want to do is to submitting false data so as to force your premium to come down as the repercussion it too grave which can came aorund to bite you later on.

Good morning house. My wife has been applying to different care homes and agencies for sponsorship. She recently changed job from Domiciliary care worker to support worker and her agency does not sponsor. It's been difficult as she is only getting offers from agencies and care homes that are not sponsoring, while she is getting rejection mails from the ones providing sponsorship. This month January will make it 6 months care experience. We have even tried outside our location (liverpool), as far as Scotland and Northern Ireland still no positive result. Our student visa expires in few months time, and presently can't afford PSW for the whole family.
Please we need help. If anyone knows of any agency or care home that is giving sponsorship should kindly assist please. God bless.
The easiest care job to get sponsorship is the same domicillary she left ,,still lot of domiciallary care with sponsorship

Thank you for this. Though I'm in the north too but a bit far from Manchester. Do you think I should use Halford or find any Indian managed centers around
What kind of service do you need for your cars .

Yoy can get acrross to me if you are around manchester for your MOT and any of your vehicle repairs needs

Mine is 3 months and counting. It seems to take an average of 4 months 😬 which is frustrating.

What about if ones passport is already expired and one will need to switch visa but passport renewal is newly done.

Hi great people, please help decide between a diesel and petrol car. I am looking at used 2006 Vauxhall astra, Ford fiesta etc as a first car in d UK. I am on a budget of £550.

Also, apart from Facebook marketplace, is there a UK equivalent of Jiji where I can meet direct owners willing to sell?

Thanks as always fam.
If I were you I would take more time to increase my budget to around 2.5-3k to get a good petrol car with low mileage as you will pay more for road tax and insurance for a vehicle of 550£ due to emissions issue and high parts failure rate.
Beside diesel vehicle maintenance is higher in the long run relatively to gasoline powered.
Facebook marketplace still remains some of best place to meet directly with real owners and scammers alike cheesy .Just keep searching with some due iligence and eye wide open, you soon hit your gold .

that is why u should let your folks guide you as the blue collar jobs employers are now asking for experience workers now due to large influx of immigrant that are taken ove the jobs .Jobs are not automatic for Uk jjc like before but those that are already on ground already know the way to go about it .

Can a 12 volt power get to the obd port without a fuse or with blown fuse at the ECU fuse location in the fuse box under the bonet?

After removing the ECU (good) fuse I still get power, is that proper ?

Where does the ECU get power from?

Is the obd port not connected to the ECU and is the ECU not connected to a fuse in the box under the bonet?

What should I do concerning ECU not communicating with scanner anymore?

I can't drive my lovely car with a check engine light on, especially now ECU can't talk, because Im in love with this car, and can never hurt her because of the love she has shown me for never letting me down anytime
try to open a new thread for your question and we insightfully look at it together

Give it to q bmw mechanic and he would go straight to the MAF ...although it takes time before you find the one that matches your car ..

Good evening auto gurus in the house.
I have been having this challenge of my corolla 2005 car going off when I have driven a long distance and having to slow down expecially in traffic jams, the engine normally trips off at this point.

What could be the cause of this?

Please assist.
Find a recommended technician with good diagnostics skill to sort u out physically. You can easily be misled by remote opinions .
