Which Audi? The one that you have to run mad before replacing ordinary thermostat?

Most Audi maintenance and repair jobs are recommended to be done by professional mechanic or technician. It’s not really a DIY task for someone with limited skills and equipment. Audi’s put their thermostats directly on the engine block, so you have to remove almost all the drivetrain components to access that part, same goes for the water pump . It’s a complex but fun car .

In as much as Benz is an awesome brand , it won’t be able to outshine the Audi . Audi posses an aggressive stance on their car designs that MUST make you look twice when you see one .

It has always been a hot challenge between these German products . We like the Benz but love our Audi’s

An Engineer named Ferdinand Porche come up with the AWD idea and prototype called ( Spyker ) , An electric AWD in 1900 , Fast forward to todays TESLA .
But Subaru's and Audis brought the technology mainstream , Audi put these on their cars way even before the auto company Porsche got on board .

Audis and Subarus still makes some of the best AWD systems on the roads today .

This Audi Allroad was in a front collision, we picked it up with the intent to rebuild and restore it to be used as our fun runner .

The car has 272k miles on it with the common oil leaks everywhere . The entire engine bay was covered with oil, dust and dirt . Fun fun stuff.
It runs and drives , but not well , I wouldn’t drive it at all . So here are a list of things to be done to the car .

1 - Timing Belt Replacement
2- Tensioners , rollers, idlers, pulleys replaced.
3- Valve cover gasket replacement
4 - Cam seals and gaskets replacement
5 - Intake Valve replacement ( 30 V )
6 - Upgraded Diverter Valves
7 - Upgraded Intake Boot
8 - Engine components cleaning and redressing
9 - New AC condenser
10 - Upgraded headlights
11 - Interior Detailing
12 - Paint restoration
13 - Wheels restoration
14 - Big Brakes upgrade
15 - 20” Rims upgrade .

These are the few items that will need to be done to our Allroad - It’s exciting and yet challenging, but we love Audi’s !!!!!

Audi Allroad was designed for convenience and off-roading purpose. Hence the avant ( wagon ) design . But they are notorious for oil leaks if not routinely maintained. This oil problem is mostly common on the 2.7T V6 engines ( pictured ) . But they will get the job done if put to the test .

As long as the engine cranks , he can fix it and drive it just fine . Cars look beat up and rundown in Nigeria mostly due to harsh weather and environment, substandard petroleum products .

Nairaland Car Gurus please help me find permanent solution to my golf 3 car(America spec) doing overheating barely every day

I started experiencing this over heating after the change of fuel pump and speedometer censor was changed by a recommended Rewire

I'm using this golf for commercial business, nothing give me any issue in the car than this over heating, is becoming embarrassing when I carry passengers and it started. the car is clean and engine is working fine

it's relay today, it's the water in the radiator boiling tomorrow, I'm becoming sick of this. my mechanic told me when it started this night that my gasket is damaged in the process. I put water in the radiator everyday because of this over heating

please what do you guys suggest as the permanent solution to this over heating gazzuzz Sienna royallord1 and others and I wouldn't mind a recommendation of good Rewire. I reside in Lagos.

Couple of things can make a vehicle overheat such as ;

Low or No Coolant
Bad Thermostat
Air in the Line
Bad radiator
Old coolant

Possible Solutions ;

Top off your coolant level to max .
Find and replace your thermostat.
Bleed the air out of the coolant pressure hose line.
Replace a faulty Radiator.
Drain and Flush old coolant from the car .

Look into any of these and see if it helps .

Yes You Can dear ! Technology has advanced since , there are individual temp controls in central air system now .

Only downfall I see with this system is routing the air ducts through our solid block and concrete walls.
Also those ducts needs regular cleaning at least once every 2 years , to keep them clean and tidy . So yes it adds up to the maintenance cost .

I was thinking of installing it on my property, but the duct system and maintenance really got me thinking “ is it really worth it “ .
So I went with 3 split units and 6 diffusers .
Heat can’t come into the house Also , as long as their is fuel for the 5kva gen set .

Yes, the Car has been Won. Is like my Agent doesn't know how to follow to get the Title, because he keep telling me liars. Is morethan 3 month's we won the bidding(bought the car)

Your Agent is probably a public buyer on Copart . So he will have to wait for a month or 2 depending on how backed up the Titling state DMV are. Titles from state usually takes anywhere from 30-90 days . But dealer buyers get the title instantly from the auctioneer.
