How will ampere make me discover the problem

For 3 days now, I've noticed that my Redmi quick charge doesn't work anymore. My phone normally gets to 100% in an hour but for two hours now I'm still at 62% and the battery drains very fast now. I thought my phone had a problem but going on Google and Youtube, it seems I'm not alone on this. Some people are saying it's the MIUI 12 update, others are saying it's the charging cable and honestly I'm confused. Is anyone facing the same issue here and has been able to solve it. Please help a brother out
