Mancala:

This is absolutely true. But I blame the man and his lack of wisdom and foresight for allowing this to happen. If I were in his shoes, I would have allowed my Mum to depart first, then invite the irate woman in to make her case. What good could have come out of a stranger flinging accusations at your wife in front of your mother who already bears a grudge on the matter at hand? I guess you haven't been married for long huh? An experienced man can smell trouble coming a mile off and change course to avoid it.

The only comment i will reply here. U are a man of manifold wisdom. Keep it up.

My dear police and their advice. A failed system we have in this country. Why this was advised beats me cos am also of the opinion that it should have gotten out before now.
Ekaka1:

Thanks for shedding some light there @awesome23, while this is not a forum for investigation, some people have said here that this should have been on social media since the period it happened late last year and I share the same sentiments too. Since it appears you work at the same office I assume (since you say he is your Boss) , do you know why he is only bringing this story to fore now..or rather why we only got to hear about this on social media in the course of this week.

Hmmmmm. The way we make asumptions in this country. That's my boss u talking about, he was in the office that day and got home only to find out she has not returned home since 9am she left the house to supply goods. Her number was still ringing till 6am the next day. Lets be guided in our statements, this can happen to anybody

Let him go bare for now no diapers. Just wear loose pants day and night, you can use an under lay for bedtime or spread nylon with old bedsheets on top to absorb urine and poop.

When he is healed be sure to apply base cream before diaper and not leave the diaper on for too long.

Also he may be reacting to the diaper you use, did you change brands or place of purchase? Might be inferior quality.

My son and nieces reacted badly to the red Huggies so I stay clear of it.

Ooh God bless u for this. They just had their one year birthday and someone gifted them the red huggies. This thing started immediately I used the diaper. Thanks a lot will stop at once. Though his brother is not reacting to it. I have aired the bum all thru today

Eyaa, i feel for him. Please no diaper during the day, leave soap for now when bathing him, no spunch too. Just warm water. Rub ori (shearbutter), free up his bum for fresh air. Give him fruits rich in vitamin or simply give him vitamin c, this should hrlp him heal up in two days. You may also apply normal powder (not dusting powder oo, it will hurt him more).

Freeing his bum, please also watch the weather around you. Its a bit cold now so you may need to wear him something light but not diaper for covering.

Thanks a lot

Pls if i may ask, was ur baby vomiting blackish substance? Cos d matron said with what he is vomiting its possible he respirated food, seeing my baby breath with so much difficulty is killing me,

He wasn't vomiting but was asked if he ingested anything like food. Meanwhile he has started crawling then so think he must have picked up something from the ground or ingested it. I had to remove my centre rug. The solution was to open his lungs with steroids so he can breath. Immediately that was administered he was okay. Don't worry your baby will be fine

We are currently @ A&E here @ general hospital, DS was diagnosed of Asthma and currently on oxygen mamas plssss pray for us we so need it now

Don't know how to talk to you but my son was diagnosed of same at gbaja last 2months. He was on oxygen for 3 days and was nebulised every 4 hours. He had difficulty breathing. When he breaths you can hear from another room. We stayed close to 2 weeks but was discharged on the grounds that it will get better at home. I even bought a nebuliser. On Easter Sunday it got worse I took him to the private clinic where I gave birth and the pead told me you cannot diagnose asthma on a baby less than 2-4 yrs. Even lifeline confirmed this. They only placed him on oxygen for like 2 hrs then nebulised with normal saline not salbutamol. Then the pead placed him on steroid injection, just once and he was fine. She said its viral respiratory infection so it will run its course. Since then we have never had any episode like that. I pray for your son to be healed because I can relate. I went thru hell but God is faithful. He will be fine but explore other options. They kept loading my boy with antibiotics.

I always used this as a kind of guide. . .

However, other factors influence weight gain or otherwise on babies so nothing is cast in stone. If your Paed says your baby is healthy, then rest your mind

One of my twin is 7.8 and the other is 9.5 at 8months. Please does it mean one is underweight?

Haba this woman what wisdom is this. Love u loads.
zaynie:
@Realtalk, I think you should have a plan before you leave. The people who are egging you on to leave would be the first to throw it into your face. Be wise. There is no permanent friend or foe. Save as much as you can, have a getaway plan and have something to keep you going for at least one year after separation (a job or business). Nobody likes a liability.
Also report to his people severally so that when you eventually leave it won't be a matter of you never let them into the whole story.
Thirdly, speak to him when he is calm and try to make him understand how he is draining you emotionally and financially. It will help you gauge if he'll turn around or not.
If he doesn't seem to change, start making a plan for a separation or divorce. If you're going for divorce make sure you have all evidence at hand. Keep receipts of all the things you or your people buy. If he hits you, take a picture and save on your email and make a police report before telling your parents. If its verbal, try to make a record (please do not purposely goad him into losing his temper: fear God) .This is because he can decide to fight against the divorce and custody of your 2 kids so have evidence because the court is only interested in evidence laid down in front of them.

When all is said and done, remember that he earns 40k and it can never be enough, even 150k can never be enough. If he is like my husband that is a savings freak, he's probably hoarding the money somewhere so that he can invest it.( does he spend the money anyhow? Does he drink excessively, use hard drugs ,womanize or gamble?). The worst mistake you'll make is walk out on him a few years before his big break.
I don't support domestic violence of any kind but I know that some women are capable of tempting a saint to murder. Combine that to a broke man. Fire!
But if you have the money to take care of the family, then do so..they are your kids too and there's this thing in Islam that if you shenk your responsibilities and let your wife carry them, then be prepared to have your wife take all the blessings that is due to the breadwinner.

Does he still hit you? If yes then please walk away if you feel that's best for you.
If no, then he probably is restraining himself which says a lot for effort.

I agree with your mom that you should have all your kids from one man. That way if a break up happens you're free to go hustle for money rather than for dickkk. That one will be to just pass time and not for procreation. And if you meet someone who doesn't want kids anymore, you'll be game to remarry with no p. Besides there's a special kind of bond between full siblings and the one who isn't the full one will always feel like an outcast with his/her half siblings from both sides (neither here or there).

Remember too that patience is a virtue and God gave us sense and freewill so we could always determine our destiny.
Don't forget to pray. Very important. Pray to God to show you the way. And listen when He answers your prayers.

Above all, be strong.

Don't.mind my back and forths..I'm trying to gauge his own side of the story too.

I'd say find a
1. Temporary arrangement with another creche. I know my school at Lekki is opened all year round to absorb kids with schools that close early. We call it Camp week. So we don't close till 23rd, we run shifts to resume 27th. Close again on 30th and resume on 3rd for workaholic parents.

2. Contact her class caregiver and arrange that she watches over Zara on a private level. She'll most likely be free till Christmas and Zara is familiar with her already.

3. Ask at your place of work if babies are allowed. Ask first. You'll get distractions for her and can close early.

4. The thing is new moms living in the same area are the best support system for one another.
Play dates and turn by turn babysitting is still the best solution so if you have a very close friend that lives close by, plead with her to watch over Zara and if you can arrange for someone to pick her early or if you can arrange with your company to let you close early for the next 2 weeks. Ask first.
U always come up with solutions. Respect.
