@poster u're a bleeping lair.what do u hope to achieve by misinforming pple.God punish you!

I think you are very stupid. Note. Very stupid. Cos they did not call you, you are now mad at me. It's not my fault that you are dumb. You are stupid and ignorant. The only thing worse than you is what you see in the mirror when you wake up. If there is anything worse than ignorance is assuming to know. Go for deliverance. Scum of the green earth on which I walk on. Don't ever think you can just call someone a bleeping liar and not get a can of worms

Politics / Hilary Misinformed About Efcc –fg? by AXSOLID: 9:32pm On Aug 20, 2009
take note of emboldened areas,

Hilary misinformed about EFCC –FG REALLY, ?

The declaration by the United States Secretary of State, Senator Hilary Clinton that Nigeria’ anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has derailed in the last two years has been labeled as misinformation by the Federal Government.

Clinton, in a recent visit to the country, had reiterated US concern on Nigeria’s fight against corruption and went ahead to score the EFCC low in it’s operations.
According to the Secretary of State, the agency has “fallen off in the last two years.”

But in a recent reaction yesterday by the FG through the Federal Ministry of Information and Communications (FMIC), a breakdown of the Agency’s achievements were made available to pressmen stating that Mrs. Clinton must have been ill-informed.
According to the data made available, “Mrs. Clinton may have been speaking from a point of misinformation because contrary to her belief, the Federal Government in concert with the established agencies of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been working overtly and covertly and advancing the anti-corruption crusade. Other agencies like SERVICOM, Due Process mechanism, Code of Conduct Bureau etc are also playing their parts.

“the EFCC is handling hundreds of cases out of which there are 48 high profile ones. The statistics of the status of these high profile cases are as follows from 1999 to date: Number of investigations completed; 40, number of cases taken to court; 40, number of prosecution on-going; 37, number of convictions so far made; 5. , SO WHO MISINFORMED HER?

“From those cases over N50 billion naira worth of assets has been confiscated and forfeited to EFCC.
“We are in a new era and the methods adopted in fighting crime are based on the tenets of the rule of law and due process. Ultimately, the final verdict rests with the courts.

“In this regard, the anti corruption agencies have embraced the spirit of: No indiscriminate arrest of people without substantial allegations against them. This is in line with due process and the rule of law. No public condemnation of people before proper investigation to prove allegation made against them.

“Due regard and compliance with all court decisions and judgments. No fire brigade approach to War on Corruption. Pre-emptive measures are taken to establish and sustain institutions that can withstand corruption. Systematic approach to investigation, prosecution and sanctions taken against individuals.”
As for the ICPC, the statement said that the commission has over 201 cases being before them and the statistics read as follows: the total number of cases filed in court from 2001 till date is 191, while the total number of convictions is 20. Total No of persons charged to court from 1991 read 381.

Phones / Leave Gsm Now! by AXSOLID: 11:31pm On Jun 08, 2009
Everyday, we hear the same old tales. GSM calls are too expensive. GSM rates are too high.
Tell me, did someone put a gun to your head and tell you to buy a GSM line. It's too bad that we don't ever see the light or the truth.
Or maybe we see it but we just don't believe it. Maybe we just think it doesn't exit.

Today and long since before today, we have had CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) Scheme, used by RELTEL WIRELESS, MULTILINKS, STARCOMMS and the new king in the arena, VISAFONE. All these CDMA companies boast of the best mobile rates in the country.
An average GSM to GSM call with no special payment plan costs =N=30.00 per minute. Amazing isn't it.

On the other hand, an average CDMA minute costs =N=12.00 or less.

With special payment plans, even inter GSM rates dont come near inter CDMA rates.
With special payment plans VISAFONE for instance, charges =N=6.00 per min.

Now let's see, who would you rather use to call.
I'm not saying throw away your fancy GSM phones, no. but you could get yourself an extra CDMA phone to make your expenses drop.

Technology Market / Solutions To Ur Broadband Internet Service Provider Problems by AXSOLID: 1:35pm On Jun 01, 2008
Have u ever in abuja tried one of these so called internet service providers and got messed up?
NO matter how efficient, there always seems to be a comma.
I'm currently on visafone cos my research showed starcomms did not care about their customers and multilinks was only for checking mails and dont even get me started with MTN and glo

These company's advertise a lot but do little
To be frank, one should check up on the VERIZON SITE (USA) and see how much it is for a 3Mbps link
In Nigeria, the highest so far is evdo which is quite advanced but ours is limited to a speed of 600kbps
Look at the difference
Their costs are even shockingly on different levels,
There is a problem and there is a solution.

We should no longer take these services at these rates. It is a total rip off. Also, if the company's can't support the service with their infrastructure, they should not even start it.

Please comment, so further action can be taken if necessary.

Honesty truely eludes business in Nigeria. I saw in the papers an assumed saviour of unemployment in Nigeria. They were offering a scholarship scheme which in fact is a scholarship scam. You expect registration for the scholarships to still be done with N3,500.

Most like myself would say why not. That's not so high a price to pay to be employed after just 120hrs of intensive training to gain employability skils. wow. Where do I pay.
They even throw in prizes for the first three. WOW. Knowledge is infinite. What u dont know will kill you

Consider for a moment the number of job seekers on Nairaland alone then triple that to give a number of people who don't know cyberspace. Long story short, imagine 100,000 nigerians pay N3,500 each. we have a whooping 350 Million Naira. I have no problem with someone making such money from his brain work and igbo money calculating head. What I have a problem with is the value of the first three prizes. International, Continental and National Scholarships respectively. N350,000,000 will give 15people scholarships to havard and the person still gets 300mil.

I totally respect the idea of the scholarship but the scam behind the whole thing is scary. But for nairalanders who are intersted pls visit

primarily, the CDMA industry has been as stagnant as a bucket of unused water. How could the last bulletin in starcomms site be as far back as august 2006. I've been over at starcomms asking for the USB version of their EVDO but they seem reluctant to even ask a manufacturer for it.
LO AND BEHOLD, VISAFONE OPENS WITH A WIIIDDEE RANGE OF EVDO DEVICES, HANDSETS WITH EVEN EVDO CAPACITY, ETC. IT brings tears to my eyes that my days of disturbing the non-technical staff for a way out is over.

The only thing is their data rates which are a bit high but it's better than waiting for a non existent solution from starcomms that will never arrive

for more info pls visit http://www.visafone.com.ng

the sentence Below shoould be ignored as it is a way for people who need to connect themselves with internet access be aware of a better alternative.

TV/Movies / Re: Nigerian's Own Cartoon Network by AXSOLID: 7:46pm On Nov 20, 2007
Yo. I am a 3d graphic designer. Been for about 3 years. Aint done too much cos of school and all. The idea for a nigerian cartoon station is tight. U gatta handle issues well to come out on top. U first need to infiltrate the current children entertainment industry. finding a sponsor such as manufacturer is also a bright idea. cos u gatta pay for slots on the t.v. What kids is watching these days is too full of morality and they are teaching them to act too grown up. that's just wrong. I also feel the pain of kids when they always ask their parents for cartoon network. T.v. stations should wake up. Kids don't want interviews with successfull people. they want to see the cat kill that mouse. Now i'm not saying we have to copy but we need to do things for ourselves. So, like others have said, one needs to get artists together who are willing to sacrifice something, or put in some effort. get out a cartoon series. look for a suitable station, air just like soundcity and bammmm! u have ur market. and please try to leave excessive morality out of the toons like superbook. i think it's just trash.
