Politics / Re: A Response To Femi Falana, An Integrity-Challenged Charlatan (ICC) by ayosogunro1: 9:51pm On Jan 25, 2016
Why is it just simply impossible for Nigerians to react to or join issues without recourse to the use of abuses, name-calling, derogatory appellations, and so on. I have never seen where such has promoted the logic or veracity of an argument except to tickle some "social miscreants" who are only interested in the entertainment that such jejune linguistic diet provides.

Politics / Re: Battle Between Awolowo, Akintola Led To 1966 Coup- Yakassai by ayosogunro1: 5:24pm On Jan 15, 2016
Nothing excites them than to hear stuffs about Awolowo, especially lies and vilification. They get excited, they go gaga, they hop from trees to trees like monkeys. They don't bother to check the sensibilities of such submissions. They are just happy that somebody is demonising Awolowo, the Yoruba god, as they think. They fall over themselves in ecstasy to demystify Awolowo. They preach "the glad tidings" happily. Yet Awolowo's records and moral rectitude are unassailable. 10,000 ill-wishes cannot change that. Shame to haters.

Tanko Yakassai, though was there in the first Republic, we too were alive too though young. Nevertheless, we were hearing on goings. However to show that Yakassai was not sincere and truthful there are some indisputable facts. One, Awolowo was jailed in 1963 for a phantom coup and the real coup took place in 1966. Was Awolowo fighting Akintola from gaol and enlisting the support of the Army? Out of the five Majors that masterminded the coup only one was Yoruba, Major Ademulegun. Is Tanko suggesting that the coup was organised by Ibos to save Awolowo, a Yoruba? If yes why was Awolowo not released from gaol by Ironsi until Yakubu Gowon came in through a counter coup and released Awolowo? Even in death efforts have not ceased to discredit Awolowo but they are poor, thoughtless and incredibly silly efforts. Facts indeed! Anyway nothing can be more fallacious. By the way when did "People said" become a statement of facts. That is mere, speculative hearsay. Read the interview again. I quote copiously below:

"People said it was a quarrel between the wife of the AG leader, Chief Awolowo and the wife of the man who succeeded him, his deputy, Chief Akintola and the reason for the fight was that when Awolowo was the Premier, the allegation was that his wife was getting contracts for the supply of exercise books and reading materials in primary and secondary schools and that when he left power and was succeeded by his deputy, the wife of the deputy insisted that the contract should be shared between her and Mrs Awolowo."

Politics / Re: $2.1 Billion Arms Money Is Biggest Propaganda Of 2015 by ayosogunro1: 5:39pm On Jan 13, 2016
I have come to understand how easy it is for Nigerians to confuse issues and propagandize when they claim to know more than those who are involved directly in national issues. In fact those who accuse the government of media trials are the very ones carrying out media exoneration and acquittal of the accused without the benefit of evidence beyond mere speculations. It smacks of insult to the intelligence and intellectual capacity of the former National Security Adviser for anyone to suggest that the controversial $2.1 billion was Security Vote and not an extra budgetary allocation for Arms Purchase. Is the analyst suggesting that the former NSA Sambo Dasuki is so daft that he could not differentiate between Security Votes (which clearly is beyond investigation) and Arms fund which is clearly accountable? Unfortunately, those who should critically study and analyse write ups just join the bandwagon of endorsement without critical thinking. While every one is entitled to his opinion, such entitlement should be to the furtherance of truth and public morality. This article is a failed attempt to whitewash the criminal expenditure in question and blackmail the government of PMB as diversionary, vindictive, clueless and incompetent. But we the masses know better. No amount of hate write ups and campaign of calumny will discredit this administration in its onerous war against corruption. Any attack against this war against corruption is evidently Corruption fighting back. Those who benefitted from the ravenous and rapacious squandering of our riches owe their benefactors moral burden of defence. In the same vein the patriotic masses who suffered abysmally and indescribably from the bazaar have a duty to support the exposure and trial of those who betrayed the trust reposed in them through unconscionable wastage and national profligacy. No rationalization of corruption is acceptable.

Education / Re: Only A Genius Can Interpret This (photo) by ayosogunro1: 7:12pm On Oct 01, 2015
Whereas earth takes 24 hours to rotate on its axis which is called one day, and 365 days to orbit the sun which is called one year. Venus on the other hand is very slow in rotating on its axis. It takes venus our own 243 days to rotate on its axis. In other words it will take our 243 days to make a day on venus. However, venus takes 225 days to orbit the sun which will make a year. Simply put if you celebrate January 1, 2015 on Venus before the sun goes down and you get to January 2, 2015 , a year of 225 days would have been completed. In fact by the time you wake up from your sleep it is already another year, 2016. In addition venus rotates backward. Mystery of God.

Politics / Re: Fani-kayode Writes To Osinbajo – What Fellowship Is There Between Light And Dark by ayosogunro1: 9:08pm On Dec 21, 2014
Were he to have been pencilled down long ago as a possible running mate to Buhari would Fani Kayode have called it quits with APC? He left because he thought the muslim/muslim ticket of APC was irrevocable, considering his slim chances against Tinubu et al. Having left, the coast became clear for a Muslim/Christian ticket which has unfortunately eluded him. What he cannot get he must spoil. A chip off the old block. Have we all suddenly forgotten the inimitable Fela's lyrics about FFK's father? Fani getti power, e take am cheat person, why, I don't know.... This rogue politician from IleIfe will not give peace a chance in Yoruba land. A man without principle, a confusionist par excellence, running from PDP to APC and back to PDP, shameless idiot who should hide his face in disgust in a decent society now pontificating to us. His father has always been part of the retrogressive elements in Yorubaland. Were it not for Chief Obasanjo who rehabilitated his lineage politically, for ever would his ancestry have been forgotten politically. We know the true sons of Oodua who will not waver in positive principles come rain come shine. If this is the Nigeria of his dream, we are sorry for him. He is left behind. We are not surprised, as a Minister in PDP administration, Fani Kayode is a part of the problem, and unfortunately like the infamous Association for Better Nigeria (ABN) that fought against Abiola there is an underground swell of Anti-Buhari Cohorts (ABC) who rather than discuss issues are raking up lies, distortion and half-truth. May their likes cease in the land.
