After scheduling my K1 visa Interview,the confirmation came out with the old DS-160 number which I used in my B2 application some years back.

I already messaged support@ustraveldocs.com and support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com to see if they would rectify it.

NO! is the answer.

once you are sure there's no detail in your DS-160 that could change before the interview and you've booked an appointment,just go and do your medicals and wait for the embassy so far NVC has issued you a case number.

infact that's the best thing to do to avoid delays.

no how no how the embassy will call you before the medicals expire.

then let your police certificate run from the date around your appointment date.

Yes, they changed it for me after I had completed the appointment booking. They didn't change my appointment date. I don't think they sent me an appointment confirmation, but you can always print a new appointment confirmation by yourself. There's even a place on your ustraveldoc profile where you can send your confirmation to your email.

please, which email address did you use to contact them? or did you use the "provide feedback" on the website?

Yeah. I did that too. But I noticed that the D160 form number on my profile when I did that was the one I used for my Visit Visa Application and I couldn't change it on my own. Had to mail the traveldocs guys to change it for me.

did they change that after you had completed the appointment booking?

where you sent a new appointment confirmation after the change?

You can fill the DS-160 form now but don't submit yet. Also you can go to gtbank and pay for the K1 Visa and hold on to the receipt. You can also create a profile at ustraveldocs.com/ng. Make sure you use a valid email address.

Once the Embassy confirms receipt of your casefile, you can then quickly submit your form and then fill in your receipt number and other K1application details on your ustraveldoc profile.

The next step is to schedule an appointment. If you can't, no cause for alarm. Just keep checking your profile page until dates pop up.

PS: Just as nextlevel2222 adviced, you guys should email the embassy requesting to confirm if they've received your casefile. It takes 5 to 6 days for them to respond. If you guys don't email them, you might not know on time when you can proceed.

can one pay for visa without getting a case number from NVC?

if yes,what then is the purpose of the case number?

or at what stage of the visa journey does one use it?

yes you can! I did exactly that.

The first picture, even though there are brown roofs, are well organised buildings. Second picture is Ugbo Paul, a village close to Abakpa where Phyno also shot his fada fada video. The place is not up to 3/4 of Ajah, Lagos. The last picture is Ogbete market, where zoro shot his ogene video. The market are not brown roofs but decked. However, they are very organised. No matter how you look at it, Enugu is very very beautiful and organized more than Ibadan. QED!

point of correction: Ogene was shot at Gariki park at Garki market Enugu.
