10.Letter of explanation stating reasons for invite, available funds, his NOC skill/present status making me eligible for sowp, his income and available funds and quoting what he earns is more than LICOs for two persons and also that he will cover expenses(housing, clothing's, medicals etc.) during my stay.

C) proof of relationship
1. Marriage certificate
2. Pictures of us( dating periods, engagement, wedding pictures, after wedding pictures and also pictures of us with family members)
3. Several screen shots of chats/video calls(skype, bbm, Viber, WhatsApp, facebook etc.) And call history
4. Receipt of purchase of engagement ring and wedding bands.
5. Travel itinerary during hubby visits to Nigeria
6. 1/2 page history of our relationship/marriage from the past 7 years till date.

Sent several emails and CSE after the average processing time with generic replies all the time, Hubby made several enquiries through his MP, Hubby ordered for GCMS notes on 23 of Oct, he came out 26 of Nov after the approval and discovered nothing serious was done on the application between April and Sept and that was when i sent my medicals(upfront 28 Aug) Thank God the wait is over!.

Hubby and I plan was to wait and join him before applying for Express entry(PR). And our estimate was July.. 3 months after submission of the sowp application. The wait was long so we decided to put in the EE application after reading from IRCIC website that one can have dual intent as long as one can prove each of it... EE is going smoothly( 4 months now). We are waiting for EE approval anytime from now by Gods grace. Amen.

In all, it was God that did it, not the documents or our plans and strategy. I give him all the Glory and I pray God answer everyone speedily with notable evidence in Jesus name. Amen.

Good morning guys, great work here. I received passport request on Monday, I am out of Lagos and cant travel down at the moment. Please I want to know the procedures of sending passport to vfs Lagos (did my biometric there) through courier. Thank you.

Good morning, CSE means case specific enquiry, its a webform you send to IRCIC when you have information to pass to them or your application has exceeded processing time and you what to ask why. I was able to know where my application was processing through Hubby's member of Parliament (He raised enquiry for us when it was taking long). If at the moment you don't know, you can use the office you submitted your application e.g. Lagos office , your message will be directly to where ever is needed.

I usually send email to Lagos and London office, this is one of their emails.

Good morning all. @emmy3131. If the purpose of your wife applying for another program is majorly so she can stay more further in CA...I think she can apply for post graduation work permit, as long as she as finished her studies, she will just go to the border with the evidence within 90days of finishing her study and she will get PGWP for 2/3 years depending on her year of duration of study. With her PGWP and a required NOC job you can still get your work permit and when she works for a year she can apply for PR for you guys. I stand corrected

I remember sending a message through this webform but no response...my spouse school has finished and in fact they just did their convocation yesterday but her study permit expires November and we have a baby in Canada ,meanwhile we applied for a second program and her extension for study permit is still ongoing from Canada. I really don't know what to do at this point ,kinda confused

I hope this is not too late @Bab5 suggestions is not right from my own perspective, please fill TRV form for all the kids but their application may not need too much documentation like your own OWP, because their application depends on yours.

Upfront medicals - 1st of Sept, received email of acknowledgment on 7th of sept, medicals passed on 15th of Sept.
Still waiting.... Surprisingly average processing time for Nigerians is 10 weeks at the moment.

Good day. You can leave it out. Its optional. You will always get a TRV when your visa is approved. I hope this helps.

Open work permit is for the spouse of students and PGWP holders and the normal work permit requires one to have a LIMA before applying for it. Kindly Google it dear.

Thanks a lot. The person has a visiting visa but contempting on applying for a work permit . Forgive my ignorance, what is the difference between open work permit and work permit that requires LIMA?

She went with visiting visa, landed, she applied for work permit in canada which takes about a month and she went back to port of entry to get it....tough they mentioned it only works for open permit not the normal work permit that requires LIMA.

Like someone said, visiting visit isn't easy to get tough.

Try and find out from other people living in Canada presently.

Definitely on the right thread. Waiting is not easy, but still keep faith alive! Mine is 6 month (April 3rd) and still no news, tough medical passed. I pray our expectations all come to fulfillment soonest.

In my opinion, for those who is about to apply for SOWP, I feel they should consider applying for Visiting visa and get their open work permit when they land as long as they can fulfil the requirements for it. Its takes a short time duration and one will still arrive at the same result.

From recent experience, my sister-in-law applied for visiting in may, she landed and after awhile went back to the airport(point of entry) to get her work permit. Another person share the same news too, she had a visiting visa, got married, travelled with the husband back to CA and got work permit too.

Wished I knew about that route earlier than this SOWP route. Tough I will still say some people are luck and still get SOWP approval in a short while, but from statistics on this thread it usually far exceed the processing time stated.

I pray God to open a book of remembrance on our applications and favour it with approvals in Jesus name. Amen

Good morning, from my little knowledge, there isn't an upload option for proof of funds/bank statement unlike other visa application......but I think at the tail end there is an option of letter of explanation/client information under other documents section, you can upload what ever you deem fit that will support your document in there.

You need a copy of his passport data page, one or two passport photographs. You'll send a copy of the PCC form to him, he'll thumbrint according to the instructions, and scan it back to you. Print it out and take it there whn you go do yours. Depending on yoir bargaining power, it could cost 3.5 - 4 k or more.

This very document is actually for PR applications. I don't know, somehow it has become a norm for study permit & work permit applicants in Nigeria to include it. You can't get it for someone, basically because the applicant need to thumb print.

I give all glory to God for ensuring the approval of wife application and those of my four children this morning. This is the second application. The first one was rejected last year based on insufficient funds. This is the second application. I am a Masters student at MUN.

Normal thing, I went to children's practice few days after submission then scan the slip through email to London Visa office, my sister did same too. I don't know if it's the right thing but it worked for me. And I thank God.

Before today I have kind of put the application at my back so as not to worry about it. The no update email from CIC came in again which makes me to start thinking what could be wrong?

My application is 17 weeks counting..... No update since after biometrics, No medical request and bla bla. I sent emails in the 14th week to about 9 different processing office....some replied that is still processing. Also sent CSE using Lagos office..they replied is actively processing. Hubby through the office of his Member of Parliament found out that its been processed in visa office London(UK) and they acknowledged delay in the processing of work permit applications in general as of 18th of July, but promise to start working on them soonest though with out timeframe.

I took my time yesterday to read through the study permit thread for Canadian student and discovered some of them sent in E-medical slip through CSE and was acknowledged despite the fact that it wasn't requested and wasn't done upfront.....noticed @jimmychuks2018 also did likewise from the thread. I am thinking of going for medicals next week and sending it to them through CSE maybe it will fasten it....what do you guys think?

My medical passed yesterday and eligibility started, my son's eligibility started reviewing yesterday. Then my daughter's original passport request came yesterday. Meanwhile it was a family application. It's well I thank God for everything.

Yeah....is long ooo, people should read it while we await approved updates.

I also thought about it, study permit pressure is high. From my little knowledge I feel the best time to apply for sowp visa is early or late in the year.
