Hey guys I'll just be brief.

Straight to the point.

My wife is having an emotional affair.

Whats making it worse?

It's with a pastor with wife and children. Her pastor when she was in another state.

Now they're both in different states.

How did I know?

I saw her chat with him about 2+ years ago, and saw all the sweet name calling, the pet names and how they tell each other their activities of the day and even marital problems.

All the red flags and checklist of an emotional affair have been ticked by them.

The only thing remaining is the sexual part.

We've been married for some years now, she was a virgin when I married her though I'm 100% sure they have not met since we got married.

But the issue here is that this is causing serious friction in our marriage.

When I first saw it, I gave some time to be sure and I confronted her and she denied and said he's just her pastor (denial is one of the checklist).

Some months later they didn't stop the communication, I was about to tell her mum cos she visited. She pleaded and I let it slide.

Fast forward to 2021 they are still in communication. This time around the so called pastor is even always reminding her to clear chats so I won't see it.

Now emotional affair is actually worse than sexual affair
This pastor has a wife. I just pity the wife cos I can imagine how she would also be feeling.

I provide for the home, I also had to change from biz to the one that makes me travel to something that makes me work from home so she won't say it's cos I'm not always around.

We struggle with our sex life. What do I mean? She doesn't like sex. She doesn't mind if we stay 1 year without sex.

But me I'm a man with sexual needs.

Now when I see the way she doesn't like sex and I remember this emotional affair, it drives me crazy.


Those who have passed thru this, how did you overcome this challenge?
I don't want a broken home for my children cos sometimes I feel like calling her people and telling them to take their daughter back. Infact I'll dash them the bride price.

Do I go and get a side chick? But that won't solve my problem.

Guys come to my aid.

Cos if we discuss this again, this will be the 3rd time we're talking about same issue and same guy.

Most married women are in this boat, including my wife. Some even have emotional affairs with 2 or 3 different married men.

There is no rule that states married couples must list each other as emergency contacts. Each person has his or her own reasons for these things.

A friend of mine told me his wife doesn't rate him at all... I asked him the reason he's thinking in that line of thought, he told me when he checked the wife's phone that on the emergency contact he couldn't find his phone numbers there but her father, mum and elder brother.

I told my friend that incase of emergency he should be the next line of contact but the wife doesn't see it that way

What could make a wife not to put her husband contact in an emergency list? Would appreciate your contribution, thanks.

Can you locate where you fixed the alternator three years ago? Why not repair the old alternator if it came with the car? It might be better than buying tokunbo. Whatever you do, don't sell the old one yet. Had this same alternator issue and I insisted I wanted a replacement instead of repairing it. The new one kept running my battery down, went to three different electricians and they all said the new alternator is charging well but at least once a week, my car will refuse to start after leaving the house . Once we fix a new battery, it starts easily. Till someone told me to go and fix the old alternator I kept at home and remove the new one. Before the whole issue was resolved. I have never being so frustrated in my life. Sometimes I leave my car parked and running because I was afraid it might not start.

You said you observed the car, and concluded the problem is the alternator, can you share this your observation, and what led to your inference.


Not all vehicles are designed this way, but most are: remove the positive terminal, and see if the car will switch off. If it doesn't , your probably do not have a bad alternator.


Using a multimeter to check the voltage at the battery while it idles at 2.5rev/m is another way to check. It should output between 13.5-14.5v with all accessories on, ac, headlamp, radio,etc on. If you have anything lower, you have a low charge situation.

Check the terminals, check the ground, measure the voltage drop between battery positive and alternator, check alternator belt, tensioner and tension.


You can also test your battery too. this is with the car off. you should have between 12-12.5v anything below that is a battery that needs recharge, or replacement.

In an event you change the alternator, buy a new battery too. If the battery is bad too, and you change just the alternator, It will eventually make the alternator go bad too.


Most importantly, take your car to a good tech. You shouldn't bear the headache

What if the alternator does low charging? I removed the positive and infact the negative terminal join the car did not stall or go off, I could drive from ojodu Berger to lekki without inserting it back but yet it does low charging

So it is in the best interest of the entire South to field a candidate who is healthy, have age on his side, and has a track record in good governance.
