Hello Gurus,
Please my application is still on review stage. Is it okay to quickly raise a web form or send a mail if you will like to add additional documents. I will like to send a letter of explanation(LOE) regarding my previous immgration history I realized it wasn't included in the document I submitted I only declared my refusal and briefed the reason. Can I quickly raise a web form or send a mail to them asap since my application is still open and a decision hasn't been made?

Thanks for your reply, I actually consulted my concern to some immigration consultant and they said I should send a web form to that effect. So I sent this.

“Dear VO,

I will like to address my BACKGROUND INFORMATION.When I was asked if I have ever been refused a visa to any other country or territory previously. I selected the yes button for both visa refusal within canada and any other country or territory and I gave the reasons.

However I think “I was refused USA visiting visa twice but I’m sorry I can’t remember the exact year but I feel is 2016 and 2018 or 2016 and 2017. But I said I was refused USA visiting visa in 2017 in my original imm294e form.

Also I’m certain I was refused Uk visiting visa in 2017 and Canada study permit visa in 2016. I just feel it’s necessary I quickly address this information as I should have expressed my concern like this while filling the form but there was no typing space to give more information about our previous refusals and reasons. Thanks for your understanding.“

I hope there’s no problem sending this information via the webform?.

Thanks bro, really appreciate. It’s well, God over everything, God will perfect everything that concern us ooo.

I remembered I posted this on this platform regarding me sending a webform to IRCC on the above visa refusal and someone replied me saying I'm giving too much information. FYI a mail was sent to me by IRCC to fill another IMM1294e form with the updated information and reply them via the mail. Just imagine someone been refused visa because you weren't accurate on how many times you've been refused. The moral of the story follow your heart provided it makes you feel comfortable, tell your truth. Nothing like too much information provided the information you are given is not a criminal details. Whatever information you can give to get your approval please do with all honesty. No dey form Boss on top person wey go decide your fate. Little things count, and l little things you ignore due to too much information might perceived as too less information and lies. In all may we all experience God’s Mercy and Grace.

Thanks.

Do you really think you need this TMI? Won't this call so much attention to your background? I was also refused UK visiting visa many times even after I have visited the UK in the past. But what I did is that, I only mentioned the recent refusals Frm diff embassies including the UK. I don't think you need to be exposing that you've been refused multiple times from the UK.
Well, that's my thoughts sha.

I’m sorry but if I don’t expose myself, how did they find out about people who didn’t declare and they figure out that they’ve been refuse. I believe they have access to this information, whether you expose or not, they will know. Telling them how many times I applied and got refused isn’t a crime nah. I no kill person nah refuse Dey refuse me, if they dig dipper than that, they won’t see anything to hold against me, it was just a normal refusal I was just scared if the year I disclosed could raIsed eyebrows as misinformation as I wasn’t genuinely sure and like my broda said provided I originally declare no problem. All the same I leave everything to God.

Good morning Gurus, so I want to ask you a question, have been previously refused visa for USA and UK before, and I declared both of them as I selected yes for both Canada and any other country. however when they asked me the reason I said I was refused USA in 2017 and UK in 2017 also gave them the reason. But I feel I was refused USA visa twice in 2016 and 2017 or both in 2017 but I only mentioned 2017. Does this really matter? Can this information affect anything?

Thanks a lot. But the info on the IRCC site and the university recorded video guide on Study Permit indicates that it should be for the 1st year tuition and living expenses only.

Kindly note you are applying for 2years study permit. It’s okay to declare your 2 years tuition fees for your program and living expenses for 2years. You would have indicated for 1year if your course is a 1year programme. Your imm129e form is more like you’re declaring your personal informations to them. Doesn’t make sense to me to fill in 1 year for 2years tuition fees. Anyways you can ask anyone who did 2years program on what they filled, mostly important thing is the money for your 2years program and living expenses to be in your account. The filling doesn’t carry so much weight aside from declaring previous visa denial.

Hello Gurus in the house. Can you help me to confirm if my funding details below and in the screenshot is adequate this time around after my refusal last year due to inadequate funding/asset. Got an admission for a 2yr MSc program. The total tuition fee for the 1st year is 13,513 CAD while the second year is a smaller fee of just 4,300CAD. I have fully paid more than the 1st year tuition fee in advance (i.e 13,600 CAD). I also have additional 18,358 CAD in my bank accounts and 9,000 CAD guaranteed funding for 1st year from the university. I don't want to add the second year renewable funding for now since it has not been officially awarded. See screenshot below. Please is this adequate for me to reapply now? Thank you.

Fill the total cost of your 2years tuition fees in the Tuition cost, while you fill the total cost for your living expenses for 2 years in the “funds available for your stay”. Cheers

Goodevening dear all, Please I need suggestions and views, my brother got rejection yesterday due to insufficient fund. He is going for a Msc degree program of 1year 11,000 CAD, He paid 500 CAD required tuition deposit. And we submitted a POF of 21M fixed deposit. His resumption is fall 2023. It was stated in the bank reference letter that the fixed deposit can be liquidated upon request, even though the maturity for the fund will be January 2024.

Please can the date of liquidation of account affect the application? or exchange rate used?

What is your advice of using fixed deposit as POF and what are the guidelines when using it?

Please help as we prepare for resubmission

I’m not a guru but I can give my on opinion. The fixed deposit isn’t available for the purpose of your study, hence the insufficient funds. I believe your Letter of acceptance would have stated the deadline to make payment for your first semester tuition fee, which I believe should start before January the liquidation date of your fixed deposit. Hence the money won’t be available until January 2024, that’s an automatic insufficient funds. What VOs are after is the money available for the said purpose study and not just showing them figures. They are both interested in the figures and availability. You should have liquidated before applying then you write and show them when you started the fixed deposit and date you liquidated. So kindly re-fire and do it rightly this time. Also consult gurus before submission I guess he would have been properly guided on this before he submitted his application. Thanks.

Whatever makes your application stronger! do it! However, I would also assume that the refund came with a bank narration, which should come in handy for your defence. For the avoidance of doubt, please spell every detail out and evidence it.

The description of the refund came in like this

AB/SCH22S041651 FOR GBP8000@1.1873*435|RETURNED FUNDS

Do you think this is enough proof.

Hello Gurus,

Please I need your genuine advice and opinion on this. I initially made payment to an institution in the UK, but I couldn’t make it to the UK and my money was refunded to my account because the school asked me if I was refused visa before and I told them Yes I was refused Uk visiting visa back in 2017, that was the reason I didn’t apply for the UK visa anymore.

I didn’t apply for UK visa and the school refunded my tuition deposit of 8,000pounds to my naira account which came in as lump sum 4,130,0000. Now I want to submit my application for Canada. I already explained in my SOP that the lump sum was a returned fund from the school in initially applied to in the UK.

My question now is. Is it advisable to attach the telex copy of the initial debit to the school in my document or I should ignore. I don’t want to do anything that will implicate me.

Kindly note I also declare in my Canada application my previous visa denial as well.

Waiting for your replies

Thanks

D person u should be discussing this with is ur lawyer not us. only a lawyer drafts and put his stamp on a Deed.
And don’t complicate matters for urself just say she gifted u 4.5m. I don’t understand why people come here nd start asking ‘should I do a gift Deed of 2m nd say she refund another 2m she’s owing me’ what do u people plan to achieve with that?
I really don’t know y y’all choose stress nd complications over simplicity!

Hello bamz555 kindly note we are all here for clarity, this is why when we are confuse we bring our concern here so that the gurus can guide and advice us. Canada nah heaven on earth oo and the VOs are the angels looking at our documents. So please don’t sound like you are frustrated seeing lots of questions like this, everyone has different experiences, there’s nothing wrong in declaring a gift deed that my sister gifted me all the money after all the money is already in my account. I’m just looking at it from another angle which is wil they be concern my elder sister is giving me such money when she isn’t my father. I don’t know how they think we can only imagine how they could think, that’s the best way we can handle such issues. Also in respect to lawyers I only shared a sample of gift deed format for you to read I’m not saying anyone here will put stamp or sign it, I know where to go get that done. So please anyone that has a great advise, suggestion or opinion should shed light to this, lots of people might not be commenting but they are all reading this and also learning from this. Thank you.

Hello Gurus,

Please what’s your take on this gift deed write up

1. In consideration of natural love and affection being the sister of the Donor, the Dr assigns to the Donee a refund of 2,500,000NGN and a gift of 2,000,000NGN which is 4,500,000NGN equivalent to xxxxCAD to be held by the Donee absolutely.

2. The possession of the 4,500,000NGN herein donated into the Donee has been transferred to the
Donee account as absolute owner before execution of this gift deed.
******************
Above write up was the real context of what happened, had loaned my sister some money since last year soke where transfer and cash. So the total money had loaned her was 2,500,000 and she gifted me 2,000,000 so the total was 4,500,000 now when she wanted to send the money she put refund in the remarks/comment. This is why she thought we should do the deed of gift this way so that VO will know I also had some money with her that she refunded including the one she gifted me. Please any gurus in the house, this is really pending my application from submission I need to be very careful with how I package my Gift deed I need a sincere advice and guidance on this please.

Should we write the gift deed this way or we should just do a gift deed of 4.5million claiming she gave me everything it respective if my money is included or not.

Thanks.

I think it will be better to do the N4.8m, and back it up with gift deed and further explain your relationship with her with documents to back it up.

Thanks for your opinion, my sister isn’t my father and she has her own kids, why would she want to gift me 4.8million naira when she also have her kids to cater for. That’s the angle I’m looking at. Wouldn’t the VO think I might not be accessible to the money, if it was my dad that transferred the money to me i would have just done gift deed for my dad on the whole money automatically.

Hello house,
Please I need the gurus to advice me on this PLEASE 🙏🏾, I’m a self sponsor and I have my full tuition fee to pay however my elder sister transferred 4.8million to my account which I want to use as POF for living expenses and miscellaneous. Now she wants to do gift deed to back up the money. As a self sponsor I’m thinking she should do gift deed of 2million while I explain in my SOP I own the remaining 2.8million as well as it was part of the money had saved and with her over the years. What’s your best advise on it, should she we go ahead with gift deed of 4.8million since that was what was transferred or she should do the 2million.

Note she works in a bank and I also have a job. She’s married with 2 kids. So please what is the best advice you can give me on this. Thanks.

DJ cuppy cake, you Dey give me joy I swear, thanks for the update. Lastly what’s your suggestion. If I’m to do gift deed, I want to do a gift deed of 1Million naira while I claim she refunded me some of the money have saved with her over the years which is 3.8million. I’m applying as a self sponsor, so I don’t want the gift deed she’s giving me be way too much, so it doesn’t look suspicious. Kindly note also that have been working over the years since 2016 till date. So is it okay I claim she refunded some money had saved with her which is 3.8million while she gifted me 1million naira to support my education. Also note when she sent the money to my account she sent it all together which is 4,850,000. Which is bettter do a gift of deed of 1million or 4.8million. Thanks

You don’t need her statement of account since she is not your sponsor, just show evidence that she is your sister and she is supporting your studies with that money (mention it both in ur sop and the gift deed) then you’re good to go!
If possible add her birth certificate and marriage certificate and pictures with her if you have.

However I have $1800 dollars cash in my hands and I’m thinking of going to the bank to deposit the money. This will reflect in my dollar account as CASH deposit by me. Do I still have to give explanation of CASH deposit? And if yes? What’s the best explanation to give. I just want to submitt the dollar account along side with my main account where I have my living expenses. Just like a boost for me.

Hello Gurus, please I need an honest reply an opinion on this and what would you advise me to do. Please a guru should reply this as it’s very sensitive.

I initially wanted to to study Software Engineering in a University in the UK which I paid a tuition fee of £8,000. After a long wait I was sent a CAS Draft letter and in the CAS Draft letter I was asked if I was previously refused visa before. I honestly declared to the university in the UK that I was previously refused visiting visa in 2017. This made the school stop my student sponsorship application and returned my money to me.

Now I got admission into a college in Canada where I intend to use the returned money to pay all my tuition fee. I started running the POF in my salary account from February as I intend in printing out a bank statement from February- May which makes it 4 months bank statement that will show my POF has been there for that period.

While I initially have 5.2Million naira($CAD15,000)as living expenses that was already running in my POF account, kindly note that printing out the bank statement from February no form of lump sum will display in my account. The returned 8000£(4.1million) naira lump sum was credited in my POF account this middle of February and it stated the description of the money as reversed from school.

Now have applied for another form A and I intend in using the returned money to pay all my tuition fee in the college in Canada that gave me admission.

My question is.
1: Do I still have to explain in my POF how the lump sum came into my account if I eventually use the same lump sum to pay my full tuition fee in the college in Canada.

2: Do I have to reveal to Canada immigration officer that the reversed lump sum was because I honestly disclosed to the school that I was previously refused a visiting visa back in 2017 before and the school refused me sponsorship because they were concern I could get refused again as they want to protect their license as well.

3: Do you think the canada immigration officer might want to verify from the school the reason why they couldn’t issue me student sponsorship if I just told them that I requested for the refund because I wasn’t interested in the school anymore but want to settle for Canada because it’s my preferred destination.

Im just been careful of the information I let out, saying the truth isn’t my problem but I’m scared it shouldn’t be used against me just as what the school did to me. So please I need a professional and sincere advise on this.

Thank you so much.

For proper guidance, I think you need to tell how much you have and how many years program you are going for.
The money has to stay in the account and you have to give evidence of transaction for lump sum.

Feb to may is 4 months which is the standard.

PPR can/may also come before August based on the fast timelines we are seeing.
All the best

My tuition fee is 11,690Cad dollars, living expenses I have is 15,000cad dollars. So the total money I have in naira is 9million naira, my course is a year course @ Nova Scotia

Hi I think it best to ask here so the gurus can help
Is it self sponsorship or you have a sponsor

I’m thinking of self sponsorship, I just started POF for month of February while im thinking of printing out bank statement between February- April which is 3months bank statement instead of 4months. Is it advisable to print out 4months. If I print out 4months bank statement I will have to submit my application by June. I’m not sure if a decision will be made before August 4th because I’m expected to submit my visa status to my school on or before august 4th. So I’m really confused at this point. I need help. In addition the money that was credited in my account was the money I got from my car that I sold. This money is my personal money, do I still have to wait for 4months to prove that the money is my personal money on there’s another way I can go about it so I can submit my application earlier. Thanks
