Career / Re: Beware Of Sokoloan by BAEMMA: 8:39am On May 20, 2021
There is a menace being perpetrated by some notorious loan applications. These loan applications have evolved crude, reckless and unethical methods in their recovery attempt, with blatant disregard for the Nigerian law, and brazen abuse of customers’ privacy the moment such customer defaults in repayment. They start sending offensive, defamatory, derogatory, incriminating text messages and making phone calls to their customers’ contacts with unfounded allegations and accusations. These companies such as XCredit, Soko Loan, Fast Money, GoCash, 9ja Cash, 9Credit, etc. have been tagged as a predatory lending company, Cybercriminal, Cyber bully; that capitalize in blackmail, making false claims and involved in money laundering the owners are wanted by the Nigerian Police, Immigration and EFCC. Please stay clear of them.
If you receive text messages from them alleging that a certain customer, with specified phone number is a criminal on the run, and is wanted for fraudulently stealing company’s money, etc. – it is a scam, fake and misleading. Instantly block such numbers from your phone – BE WARNED!!!

Note also that all the information being purported about their clients are totally fallacious. Please circulate this info so that everyone is in the know. They have made people lose business opportunities, people have committed suicide, some have been affected/diseased through heart attack/stroke, while others have gone into serious depression, all because of this notorious loan app. Please share and make this go viral to save precious lives.

Business / Re: UBA Card Maintenance Multiple Charges by BAEMMA: 6:09pm On Jan 03, 2018
Card maintenance fee, as charged monthly by banks is a CBN pronouncement; effective May 1, 2017. It is good to seek counsel, so that one does not end up spreading gibberish. It may also be wise to contact the Bank to resolve this. I am sure your bank will listen. I really believe UBA is still one of the good banks around.

Why not post the guys name and picture maybe someone can know him on nairaland.

I have been banking with UBA for some time now, and i strongly believe your perception is way-off. Your card was compromised and when UBA reached out to FBN; FBN was unwilling to assist. You were however able to get footage through your friend in FBN - Yet you passed judgment that UBA failed. Who failed? Surely FBN messed up. I quite understand your loss, but i do believe your judgment is obscure and beclouded.

If you have concerns with the Bank, I believe you should consult with the bank for investigation and prompt resolution. Check this out - If after moving your fund to another bank and a similar scenario plays out; will you keep moving funds from one-bank-to-another? I had a similar challenge, when i compromised my card and got defrauded while online. You will be shocked to know that besides getting my hard earned money back, the fraudster was apprehended - Kudos to the team @ UBA.

I have accounts with two other banks; GT and Stanbic; but I have never had a challenge with UBA that was never resolved. Permit me to add that their customer care is also efficient. I have 3 accounts with them, including a Dom and U-Care account for my Son. At this point; I guess I can proudly declare to everyone that UBA is OKAY.
