Dear Yemmight,

I have been following this conversation and i have to agree with dis guy, Whether we agree or not Foreign degrees open doors that OND/HND/BSc cannot open. It is after you have a foot through the door and you need to defend the degree with experience tand you cant hat you may now be on your own.

This can also be attributed to the fact that Foreign degrees especially degrees form the developed countries include a lot of experience which you cant get here in nigeria.

Hello HR professionals

I was looking at this thread and I must say i am really impressed with the comments. Please keep it up.
I am an HR Consultant looking to rub minds with other HR professionals.

Right now though i have been asked to look at designing a template for a strategy alignment and a compensation survey for a company and I could do with some ideas. Thanks

Dear Mecury

Yes we will notify you firstly by email as to whether you have been shortlisted but at some stage down the line you will have to meet with the client (employer) so that they can meet you and interview you , this will also give you an opportunity to get a feel of the organisation and see if you would like the place. so nairalanders send ur cv's DOWN.

Dear 2rich4u

Thank you for the question, firstly we are currently recruiting for the Banking, IT and Telecomms Industry at the moment and our clients for these vacancies want people who are expatriates or people with foreign degrees and /or experience.

Secondly this is for people who are already thinking of relocating on their own or who are already in the country so we dont promise a relocation package.

Having said that though the vacancies for the banking sector actually has a relocation package. so I will list the vacancies in that department out.

Note that all these vacancies are for very senior management and with many years of experience.

Executive Director retail
Chief Information Officer
Chief Finance officer
Group Head Oil and Gas
Group Head Construction.
Group Head telecomms.

Now there are other vacancies in the banking sector but only these attract RELOCATION PACKAGES, the others which like i mentioned earlied are more middle management and only have juicy salaries. I hope that this answers your questions, if not let me know.

Looking forward to more responses
