Wow! I hope your friend has his ECA ready though, because that is another delay factor, sadly.

Yes but I'll like to add that while in the pool make an effort to improve your points particularly the language points. A lot of people are interested in this program but seem to misunderstand some points. I'll give an example: A colleague of mine has been keen on applying for this program. He is 31 now and will be 32 in April. He told me about this desperately in august. Till date (6 months later) he is still telling me about how he preparing for IELTS grin as he wants to max it once. He has a masters degree in elect eng and a couple of years of experience but was unaware of the points loss due to age. I brought it to his attention yesterday and he was surprised to hear that. Now hoping that he'll find a test date, ace the test and get an ITA before the april

Wow!

Thank you so much for your kind response. I will keep trying and open on different browsers as you have suggested. I pray we'll be able to make successful payments this week (you and I).

Hi. I’m a lawyer too. I don’t know much about this journey cos i just started myself. But I do know that the best thing is for your husband to evaluate his LLB using IQAS. I had been trying to start an application since the beginning of January and couldn’t do it until last week Sunday, because of this time issue. It was so frustrating. But i was encouraged on here to keep trying. You have to have a strong WIFI and open the page on multiple browsers and keep trying on all browsers. That’s the advise I was given and it worked. Start trying around 4pm Nigerian time. Even though I was able to register last week, before i could finish registration, i ran out of time and couldn’t pay. So I’ve been trying again all week just to try to pay. It’s not easy but the evaluation as a professional qualification will definitely be worth it. Keep trying!

Hello my seniors in the PR journey, please I have been trying to apply for evaluation on IQAS but the page keeps telling me they have exceeded their intake and would refresh the next morning at 8.15 canadian time (4.15pm) Nigerian time, I have been keeping the time every morning but it's the same old story. I saw online that IQAS stopped receiving applications in November 2020 so I figured that may be the reason for the whole hitch.

However, does anyone have an idea when they will resume application collection because I am sort of depending on them for 10 points o. My husband is a lawyer with no masters and from what I have read from previous threads, IQAS will give him a professional qualification equal to masters in points. Although we have applied for WES evaluation, I am hoping that if IQAS works, we can use it instead. So, does anyone have an idea when IQAS will be back?

Thank you

Thanks a lot for the insights.

You have my best wishes.

Thank you Just use the required materials , you’ll ace the test and if you know you can’t really multitask and work under pressure then do paper based because of listening. For me I’ll say I prefer listening paper based and every other module in computer based. I wish they could give us the option of taking one module in paper and the other in computer grin grin
I got my evaluation In November and I’m still waiting for my spouses wes & IELTS.

Wow!

This is a story of resilience. Congratulations to you Debbie. May the rest of the journey be seamless for you.

I plan to write my IELTS in April, and I am praying that by the grace of God and with the aid of all resources shared by NL, my husband and I will ace the test.

WES evaluation is ongoing.

I can't wait to share my testimony. I am certain it will end in praise.

My IELTS story:
First attempt L 7.5 R 8 W 6.5 S 7
Second attempt L7.5 R8 W7.5 S8.5
Third attempt L7 R9 W7 S8.5
Fourth attempt L8.5 R6 W6 S8
Fifth attempt L8 R8.5 W7.5 S8.5
I’m elated and over the moon.
First attempt I wasn’t prepared at all at all Due to work, I just went to write hoping for the best.
Second attempt I was very prepared but got lost during listening Cbt
Third attempt again got lost during listening cbt
Fourth attempt I took paper and made a silly mistake , I didn’t indent or paragraph my work in writing , I didn’t finish my reading test , tbvh the reading test was very tough this time.
Fifth attempt I put all my mistakes together and forged ahead. I used IELTS Liz mainly , IELTS fast track for listening tips. Then this IELTS master free module that idp gives I used it alongside Liz for writing and that thing was very very helpful. Watched all Liz videos .
Tips for speaking I got it from Don Oliver on the idp IELTS instagram page and that was it.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk. I’m still excited and over the moon.

Thank you.

I have been advised by their office to do an affidavit of loss and renew the old passport.

Hello NL,

I am new on this platform and will be happy to get any help you can offer.

I applied for a renewal of my passport over two years ago at the Ikoyi office. Someone had referred me to an officer there to help fasttrack the process even though he really didn't do much as I went for capturing twice and I did not get capture till the day was over. The sad part is after a while, this man said he had misplaced my passport. He was transferred from Lagos to Yola and said he kept my old passport in their office but no one could find it there. I have complained and nothing has changed. He had my passport them because I wanted to do change of name because of marriage. Now I am not sure if I should do a fresh passport with my married name as if I never had any passport before, or go on with renewal with photocopy of the old one with my old name. The old one had all my travel history. Please advise. Thank you
