Yes, the regular people who could not come out to vote to defend their man. I am not surprised by the apathy of awardees in these two zones.
Rather Abuja awardees who were used by some people to frustrated the 13th Jan planned protest should be blamed.

Though, I am not from Abuja. But from 8 up to 8.43 there was nobody protesting in front of the FMF that Wednesday 13th January. I traveled to Abuja for the protest but didn't see any crowd and I don't have the gsm numbers of the organizers.

Was it Abuja awardees that frustrated the peace protest?
From the information iv gather that means awardees were at FMF that 13th Jan 2016. When i got there i was expecting to see a crowd or at least 5 people with placard, as i didnt see a crowd with placard i thought noboday came. Since they said they were only 10 may be i mistake them for others.

*** Important information****
This is to inform the house that there will be a walk by Youwin Awardees to draw government attention to the plight of awardees occasioned by the None Disbursement of our 2nd and 3rd tranche. The walk is scheduled as follows:
Date: 13th January 2015.
Time: 8:00 Am prompt
Venue: Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja.
Dress: corporate
As part of efforts to properly organise the walk, awardees coming from outside Abuja will be provided accommodation for Two Nights courtesy of Temitope Bobbi and my very self. There will also be banners and placards to be produced listing our travails and pleadings , this is expected to cost us about N15,000 only. Awardees who can contribute towards that can do so or let us know and we will send the exact wordings we want. Also we are inviting the press ( AIT, Channels TV, Wazobia Fm, Daily trust, Sun Newspaper, people Daily and the Nation).
As part of efforts towards resolving the issues, we wrote a new letter to the Honourable minister of Finance which was personally addressed to her and the letter was delivered on tuesday! Also we are preparing a new letter addressed to the Vice President which will be delivered on Monday 4th January.
Please awardees presence are highly needed for the walk to achieve the needed impact. The walk is aimed at pleading with FMF to pay us not to antagonise anyone or embarrass the Youwin program. It will be orderly and well managed in front of the media.
IF YOU KNOW YOU WANT YOUR MONEY! PLEASE COME ! ! Thanks
*** please rebroadcast the message to reach as many awardees you know as possible!****

This is a good development, long overdue. We have been neglected enough. We need to call their attention. We are in full support of this move.

Now they have succeeded in muting us. Nobody is talking about tranche disbursement again!
Is this how we will keep rigmaroling?

Yesterday we were shouting about tranche disbursement. Today they send us a distracting mail like a bait. "Wimmm", we all fall for the prank. And we all keep quiet for the next two months.
Suddenly, we jerk up and start shouting, "whammm" they land us with bootcamp and "phem" everyone sleeps off only to wake up in first week of December to continue our cry. "Crappp" they send us another mail and "waowww" we all sink into deep sleep again till 2016 for a year program that started in 2013.

All these abracadabra is too childish. Wake boys/girls! YouWiN biz are about to die.

Everyone's rent will expire this December and most of those who have NOT received 2nd tranche will have their equipment packed out.

Oh No! The most credible programme of GEJ about to be destroyed!

Another good way of distracting us from crying out. While they are attempting to destroy YouWiN 3, they want to divert attention. At least by Dec 22nd FMF offices would have closed and no more noise and peaceful protest.

Its better we continue to cry out while working on this.

Another mail from YouWiN!

Dear...
M&E...

The YouWiN! Secretariat would like to notify you that the program is still ongoing and monitoring and disbursement processes remain unchanged.

As earlier communicated, the Grant funds for the YouWiN program have been moved to the Treasury Single Account domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria. However, the program is yet to receive the relevant codes to access these funds due to the delay in Partner Banks’ compliance with the TSA directive. It is expected that disbursement will continue in the next few weeks and coming year when reconciliations have been finalized with the Banks, TSA and the Ministry of Finance.

The Federal Ministry of Finance is still working to resolve the legal issues with Stanbic IBTC and UBA to ensure that they comply with the TSA directive.

The Secretariat is cognizant of the challenges with awardees businesses due to delay in funds and is constantly working to ensure that these funds are released. Awardees are encouraged to keep up the good work of growing your businesses and also advised to maintain the integrity of the YouWiN! Program.

Note:
Participation in YouWiN! is FREE for all components of the program, and has not authorized any individual or organization to collect payments for participation. Candidates and awardees are advised to make no payments to anybody on account of YouWiN! participation and are required to immediately contact the secretariat should anyone request payment

Yours,

YouWiN Programme.

YouWiN Programme at any time without notice to you.

This is terrible. It will be too bad if we continue to keep quiet. Obviously, apart from awardees terminating some of their staff from this December, most awardees that have NOT received 2nd tranche will fold up this December. Because all rent will expire this December ending and landlords will throw them out, since they only rented the structures and have NOT been able to use them for businesses.

If we keep keeping quiet all the blames for failure will be on YouWiN awardees. It's better we continue to cry out.

Can you believe that the prize money for winners is 100,000 naira to start a business in Lagos? What kind of business can 100,000 naira start? It is even a loan and not a grant. What got me annoyed further is that I was mailed that I was shortlisted among winners to come for training in Ikoyi. They said there will be no refreshment and writing materials for us. Can you imagine? They think transport fare to go for the training to Ikoyi is cheap in lagos? How much is writing materials and refreshment that first bank and the organizers can not provide for the winners at the training? Infact they are a joke. They had better learn from youwin, tony elumelu foundation for start up, and others about how to conduct business plan competition. You treat contestant with full respect. Rubbish competition. I am ignoring there training invite. Not worth it.

Wow! Congratulations on your higher intelligence. I'm not a beneficiary of youwin 3, but I found your post most condescending. So far from what I've seen, this forum has been about people rubbing minds and helping and mentoring others, not to tell people off in such a rude manner. If you want to be helpful, be helpful, offer advice, offer yourself as a consultant, whatever, but don't call people spoilt children for asking for something that they should have got by now. Please. If you had a business plan for 10million naira and you received 2 million from your bank and a deadline to meet up with markers set for your original 10million plan, do you really think you would not have run into crisis shortly after?

Typically nigerians depending on government for everything and looking for excuse. I am sure nairaland owner didn't get any grant too and here we are using his forum website. Don't be lazy and think to save your business. Youwin is over.
dannB:
All youwin3 awardee still expecting second tranche payment should shut up. Most of you are not ashamed, complaining your businesses is failing. Spoilt pampered business owner. If you can not run your business profitably with your first tranche payment, why do you deserve the second tranche payment. You know jonathan is no longer in power to come to your aid. Why don't you print your statement of account and discuss with the bank you have a relationship with. Except if your business has not been a making small profit, bank will turn down an existing business.
For your info, I started my manufacturing business with just 2 million loan from my bank manager to start my business. And the business has produce turnover of 70,000,000 naira per year and net profit of 10,000,000 naira in first year. How do I achieve that? Because it was bank loan I used as start up capital. I knew if I default, I automatically have a bad credit rating by banks in future. That makes serious and maximise the money.
Wake up and smell the coffee. Youwin is over and look for other ways to save your business if you are truly passionate about it. And stop lamenting like a spoilt child.

@DannB you are a big disappointment to Nigeria, your parents and your generation. You lied that you started a biz with borrowed 2million and you made outrageous 70 million with net profit of 10 million the first year.
Do you even believe your foolish and outrageous claim? I've never heard a ballant liar like you.
Your problem is because you failed woefully in getting YouWiN grant and you were envious. Now you are happy, consoling yourself as you celebrate delay payment of 2nd tranche to some awardees.

I've traced your email and I know you well. Your claim to own a biz making 70 million is a great black lie. Am not sure you have ever handled one million in your life. When millionaires are talking learn to accept your fate and keep quiet.

Are you the one that ended YouWiN? All awardees will get 2nd tranche and you go and commit suicide, if you can't bear it. God punish you!

With the announcement for boot camp, all proposed press conference suspended!

Another vicious circle. It is thus confirmed that no 3rd tranche payment till after boot camp, which we are yet to get the detail information, tentatively slated for two weeks from now. That takes us to October ending (making it over one year from date we signed our MOU).

Then another vicious circle of bureaucratic processes of of payment, which takes us to December, then a mail from YouWiN secretariat to suppose childish awardees, alerting us that we could be as senseless as diverting the 3rd tranche to festivities celebrations, so they have to still fix our funds till January to strike the record of 3 years vicious circle of YouWiN 3. Having commenced applications for YouWiN! 3 since 2013.

Then, we can celebrate our usual Nigerian factor: "YouWiN! 3 breaking record. One year programme started in 2013 and completed in 2016."

This supposed highly successful programme that would have been second to none worldwide, frustrated with Nigerian factor. And the secretariat Nigerian bureaucratic processes lend credence to critics.

Sorry, just thinking out loud.
