Business / How Do I Get Paid For Online Goods And Services In Nigeria? by Barrionzo(m): 7:41pm On Sep 30, 2006
Hi everyone!

I've learnt a lot reading posts on various topics here. I never would have believed 9jarianz would go out of their way to help, Keep it up.

I have a problem of my own:

I'm working on setting up an online store, but I don't know what 'payment scheme' (at least you'd get the idea if my terminology is off) to use. My idea's good, I'm sure I'm going to sell, so that's no the problem. I'm in Nigeria 4 now, and as wel all know, business can't depend on credit cards here yet. Meanwhile I tried Paypal but Nigeria isn't listed. I'm planning to discuss with a bank, but I feel there's no harm in popping the question here.

Also, can anyone advise me about web hosts on the internet? I just looked up Powweb and Site_Build_It.

Hope to hear from you soon, and thanks in advance.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Who Know Lastra Geoservices Ltd In Ph/warri(oil / Gas by Barrionzo(m): 7:41pm On Sep 20, 2006
Okay, okay.

I'm getting so many (too many) calls from friends all over asking for verification of this Lastra (?) Coy, since I'm in PH and served in Delta.

Is the coy address available? Post this (if possible) and the phone nos given so we can do our research (yuck, I thot that word went out with my final-year project grin).

There is ane GEOSERVICES LTD at Trans Amadi Industrial Layout, but I've never heard of Lastra. Lets give this a coulple of days, ok?

Meanwhile if anyone has verified this then lets bury it.

I can't say whether or not Lastra exists undecided, but I've never heard of them. I'm sure u've heard enough about scammers lipsrsealed (REF Mikeola, Forgiven, Fesobi et al) grin.

However, maybe your name wasn't on the email because it was sent as a BLIND CARBON COPY (the BCC column when composing an email). Most companies do this when sending emails to a long list of people - else you'll get an email with about 1000 shocked shocked shocked or more names in the TO or CC column, like the forwarded emails you find on yahoo. smiley smiley smiley wink

Best witches.
Jobs/Vacancies / Sitp/1 Interview: What Is It Like? by Barrionzo(m): 12:07pm On Sep 14, 2006
Please could someone who has been in for the SITP/1 2nd stage interview this month share with us what it is all about?
-How did it feel?
-What are the possible pitfalls?
-Any hints and/or tips?
Even if one cannot really prepare for interviews like this, at least it would help interview-first-timers, and those suffering from interviewphobia and jitterymania wink.
Wish everyone the very best. Thanks.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Sitp Aptitude Test Results Are Out! by Barrionzo(m): 2:05pm On Sep 11, 2006
Hey guys,

For those who haven't got invitations (by email) for SITP/1, and you are sure you should be invited, relax. Emails are being sent in batches; they are sent between 10 - 12 days to your interview date. I have a feeling interviews would go on for at least 4 weeks.

Don't ask me how I know all this. Best wishes to everyone.
