Politics / Re: Our Officers At Nunieh's Residence On Legitimate Duty, Say Police by Barryotu3(m): 3:29pm On Jul 17, 2020
Initially the IGP was not aware, the commissioner of Police was not aware, suddenly both IGP and the commissioner became aware and then claimed that they were carrying out a legitimate police duty.
Nigeria has now become a country where the abnormal becomes normal, where illegitimacy becomes legitimate, where impunity reigns, where rule of law has been thrown into the trash can, and where corruption has now become a state policy.

Education / Re: Lagos Pegs Entry Age Into JSS1 At 12 Years by Barryotu3(m): 12:25pm On Apr 07, 2020
I support the policy totally. Some parents are are removing their children from primary 3 to start secondary. How do you explain children as young as 7 and 8 years old being in Jss1?
Politics / Re: Buhari Can Rule Nigeria From Any Part Of The World – Oshiomhole by Barryotu3(m): 9:56pm On Nov 05, 2019
Based on the logic of Oshiomole, our president does not even need to come back to Nigeria.. He can stay in London to rule Nigeria.
Religion / Re: Tithing Controversy: Nigerian Pastors Speak by Barryotu3(m): 5:02pm On Dec 10, 2017
Pls can someone explain the difference between the storehouse and the temple in the old testament?
If the emphasis was on bringing tithes into the storehouse, why did Christ go against the God's command by emphasising giving out to the poor instead of bringing to the temple? Remember he told the rich man to sell all his property and give to the poor and not to the priests or him.
In sending out his disciples, why did Christ ask them to depend on charity instead of insisting on being paid for their services? Are our present men of God no longer Christ disciples?
Why did the apostles who were filled with the Holy Spirit go contrary to God's commandments by emphasising on giving instead of tithing? Did the apostles see themselves more as Christians than Jews who were not bound by Jewish religious obligations?

Politics / Re: Diezani Planning To Escape Trial In UK – EFCC by Barryotu3(m): 3:38pm On Oct 31, 2017
What is the EFCC afraid of? If she really has a case to answer in Britain, the British government would not extradict her to Nigeria because of any Nigerian court injunction until they her through with her.
Besides the EFCC has been regaling Nigerians every day about so much dollars, pound sterling, euros and nairas that have been recovered by them from her besides the numerous properties that have been seized from her. So it's either they have a water tight case against her or it's all been propaganda of the worst kind.
Makes me remember Tunde Idiagbon who rather than remain in Saudi Arabia after he was overthrown preferred to come back and face whatever the coup plotters who had accused him of corruption had in store for him. He did this because he was so sure of himself. AM SURE IF IT WAS THIS PRESENT GOVT THEN, THEY WOULD HAVE APPEALED TO THE SAUDI AUTHORITY NOT TO ALLOW IDIAGBON TO COME BACK TO NIGERIA SO AS NOT TO JEOPARDISE INVESTIGATION ON IDIAGBON'S ALLEDGED CORRUPTION.
By the way are we talking about the same EFCC who never knew that a person like Maina existed until it took an online newspaper to blow the lid off the corrupt rotteness of this present regime?
What we are witnessing under this regime is like a person who knowingly harbours and provides a safe haven in his house for an armed robber along with all the stolen goods in his possession, but will be the one to alert the police on suspicion that all his neighbours are thieves.

Let's not be economical with the truth. The citizens of those countries quoted had a precise knowledge of the sickness of their leaders. Instead of giving us examples of sick leaders of the 1920's, why don't the writer use the examples of Hillary Clinton and Donald trump who had to disclose their medical history while campaigning.

You are very right. Reno can't stand the fact that Nigeria under buhari is now the fastest growing economy not only in Africa but in the world. in fact cost of living in Nigeria now is 100 times better than under Jonathan. inflation is at its lowest, unemployment is virtually non existent and corruption has been killed and buried. No wonder people like Reno are so pained that buhari is performing way beyond their expectation.

But isn't it a coincidence that anytime the popularity of the govt is at a low ebb, the efcc will suddenly make startling and mind blowing discoveries to divert our attention from the failures of the govt?
The current issue now is the failure of Mr integrity to honourably resign as he requested yaradua to do in 2010. Yaradua did not stay out of the country for up to 90 days when the then opposition were in the forefront asking him to resign. And please don't tell me that unlike Yaradua, he has handed over power to his vice.
If Osinbajo does not have the power to fire any minister or reshuffle the present cabinet, then he remains a mere coordinator of govt activities in the absence of our absentee president.
The only area I believe this govt has scored 99 percent in its fight against corruption is in the excellence of its arrests, trials and conviction of opposition politicians through the media.

WhiteSoup:
Lalasticlala come and see Reno oh!

You contract a civil engineer to manage your building project in 4 years.

After 2 years he disappears for 90 days plus on medical grounds which you pay for and tells you he has handed over to the site engineer in his absence. Assuring you that your project will be delivered even if he's absent.

Question is, would you keep paying him his allowances and keep paying for his medicals in a foreign land with your hard earned money or ask him to do the needfull and fully concentrate on getting his health back in shape?

This question is for all those still turning a blind eye to the "doctrine of necessity" because of political sentiments and hypocrisy.

May God grant President M Buhari good health and may God bless Nigeria.
