hello, was there any specific reasons as to why he decided not to follow up on it? If you care to share.

What was the turnaround time for his admissions decision and what course did he apply for?

Thanks

hey bro, I just applied to the College of North Atlantic for my little brother. Same programme I see you applied for Computer Systems Networking for the Sept 2023 term. Can you please let me know what the turnaround time is for the application? Also were you able to eventually get your visa and what was the turnaround time for that as well? Hopefully you did. Thanks.

Hello guys,
Today was my interview, 15th July, 2016. 9am.

Transcripts:

VO: Good morning, may I have your passport and I-20.
Me: Passed it over.

VO: why did you choose Arkansas Tech University?
Me: I choose ATU because it provides me a track under my Masters in Information Technology where I can focus on my specialty which is computer networking.
Also, I choose ATU because it's has a Cisco Networking Academy where I can concurrently pursue my professional certifications in the Computer network in which I can further pursue there.

VO: What schools did you apply to?
Me: Cleveland State University, Shippensburg University, Portland State University, Southern Arkansas University & Arkansas Tech University.

VO: Who's sponsoring you?
Me: My mom.

VO: *picks up two white papers*

I didn't even hear what she was saying again. Ahead Ahead!

Thanks to all the good people here.

Tips: Be sure of yourself, forget who's dishing out denials (most people don't know why they're there and no VO just wants to deny you a visa, they want intelligent responses that hold water), be willing to do your homework regarding possible questions. The way you answer the first question sets the tone of the interview. It's very okay to be nervous as you approach the VO but take a deep breath and believe you're not there to answer to man. You there because God has an ultimate plan for you and this is just a piece to the puzzle.

God bless people.

Sure bro. I'd love for you to send me the template.
Here's my email so we can just talk better please - izeek86@yahoo.com.
Thanks for the insight. You're too kind.

baodium:

How should I start self? Well, GA is not automatic lipsrsealed . I am a CCNP and I really doubt they used that as a yardstick (in my case). However, I know three things can get you assistantship; 1) Your profile (GRE, GPA, SOP, etc.) 2) Your experience (if you have some industrial experience or you have published a paper) and 3) Availability of funding.
Of all, the third seems to be the most difficult to predict. My school used to have a lot of funding for MS in CS (but not anymore). However, I am almost certain you will get full funding if you come for MS in maths, physics or chemistry (My friends with way lower profile than myself got full funding before coming over). So if I told you that there is no funding in my school, you will automatically assume there is no funding in all departments. Funding is in cycle!

Solution:

1) The best thing you can do is to do a lot of background research about some schools. Sincerely with your profile, you should choose some good low ranked schools to boost your chances.

2) Send an email to all the professors in the dept (I can send a good template that I have been using to you - you may need to review some of their research papers tho).

3) Pray to God!

Good luck! smiley

Hello everyone,
I'm a graduate with a 2-2 in Computer science. To be exact, a 2.84/5 (WES conversion of 2.94/4). Also, TOEFL - 94/120, GRE - 304 (Q - 157, V - 147, AWA - 3).
I intend going in for a masters in Computer Science. Any ideas of schools that offer scholarships, tuition waiver, GA or any sort of assistance that suits my profile?
Thanks a lot.

P.S: I'm CCNA certified if that bolsters my chances too.
