IrryJones:
I'm pleased to come across this quality forum, kudos to all the contributors.

I'm male been living in UK for almost 10yrs and in full time permanent employment. My spouse is in Nigeria, also employed after finishing her MSc studies in UK. I have gone through the UK Visas website and Teleperformance. We will be applying shortly.

Please I need quality guidance:

1. Is it advisable to use DHL or the UK postal service to send all the supporting docs;
2. Do I have to include my photograph or my spouse's photograph with the completed application form;
3. I have online banking,will printed 6 months bank statements from the bank branch be accepted;
4. As stated above, she studied in UK, does she have to take another English test;
5. Based on her previous stay in UK without violating any immigration rules, how quickly can our application be accepted. I'm hoping she could be here before Christmas.

Thanks all.

I don't think that's gonna be a big issue,just take the one you've got along,obviously there's nothing we can do about it because I haven't got my documents back. I'll mail them and tell my girlfriend to bring a copy along, but it's not a big issue,the worst that will happen is to do another one for you at Heathrow.
Thanks for your help and welcome on board.

Sup....did u make photocopies of all the document u submitted?......cux if u don't submit photocopy....they might hold on to the original.

Your present waiting time is not unrealistic. The fact that he was refused visa in 2012, is a mark against his application (not that he will be refused, but will be viewed as a reason he got married, was to gain entry)
If UKBA is pleased with the documents you submitted, and they have no reason to doubt that the union is genuine, the visa would be issued.
You can also call them, quoting your application reference and requesting an update.

U will definately hear from them soon...I submitted july 2 and my spouse received our supporting documents back on the 1st october.....but yet to receive my passport here in nigeria....
