Religion / The Miracles Of Prayers (3) by beckhapa: 4:02pm On Sep 30, 2019 |
Prevailing Word: “Now unto him, that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”-Ephesians 3:20 Memory Verse: “Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart”-Proverbs-4:21 As far as Ephesians 3:20 is concerned, prayer=asking=thinking. In other words, asking is prayer and thinking is also prayer. God is able to provide or manifest anything you ask or think for the 7 billion people that live on earth. That will give you an idea of how omnipotent our God is. And you know how imaginative a human can be. Practically everything you see on earth that has been made by man- is a product of man’s imagination. God can exceed our highest thoughts easily and effortlessly. If you can imagine it, God can manifest it for you. So let us concentrate today on “the thinking dimension” of prayer. Unfortunately, the average believer has not been taught about his/her mind. In fact, many bible teachers actually discourage people from “thinking”. We are to only pursue “revelation knowledge” –but we forget that it still takes thinking to process all knowledge- including revelation knowledge. Do you not realize that “thinking” is a type of prayer? Thinking is a choice. Science tells us that at least four thoughts bombard our minds each minute and if we are not careful, we will be distracted by them. What kind of thinking does Ephesians 3:20 refer to? Deliberate, focused, thinking! Thoughts that are based on the word of God. Proverbs 4:20-21 tells us, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes: Keep them in the midst of thine heart! You have to deliberately choose to think and visualize God’s word in your thought life. That ‘s prayer. This means that prayer is Not just a matter of talking. Of course, it almost always involves talking but we must first come to realize that it actually involves thinking much more. And lest we forget, “thinking” here does not mean “worrying” or “being anxious”. “Thinking” is a deliberate effort on your part to agree with what God has said about your prayer points. It is also an attempt on your part to use your imagination to “see” the answer to your prayers. It involves “casting down all imaginations (mental pictures) and thoughts that contradict the very prayer you have prayed. Thinking means screening your thoughts in line with Philippians 4:8. If a thought is true but not lovely, you have no business thinking about it. If it is true, honest, just but not of good report, you reject it. By the time you have screened every thought in line with Philippians 4:8, you will be left with only powerful; thoughts that are in line with your miracle. The Bible says, “THINK ON THESE THINGS”. In other words, having a spirit of prayer is being in a “state of mind” where you are 100% dwelling on your miracle or answer to your prayers. Many times we pray for miracles but dwell mentally on the wrong-stuff. What are your prevailing thoughts? What are you dwelling mentally on? Prayer is thinking and dwelling mentally on what God said until it permeates your consciousness. Dwell mentally on the miracles you desire. See it as done. See it as perfected in Christ. Stop dwelling on your problem. Stop dwelling on “how can these things be?” Stop dwelling on what the devil is doing. Stop dwelling on what your enemies said. Stop dwelling on how bad things are. Stop mentioning or discussing the problem. Start mentioning and discussing the answer. Stop analyzing how it will happen. Start talking as if it has already happened. Remember how omnipotent your God is. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above “whatever you ask or think.” No matter how you enlarge your request, He can handle it. If you can think or imagine it, God will deliver and manifest it. Stop limiting what God can do. God says, “bring it on, and I will do it”. This means that every praying person should also be a thinker. Ask the Holy Ghost to think with you. He has already invited you to “reason together” with him (Isaiah 1:19). Expand your mind. Expand your requests. Expand your imagination. When old and childless Abraham struggled to believe he could become a father of many children. God told him to “count the stars” as a way of removing the limitations on his mind. Most of the obstacles we face in life are more in our minds than anywhere else. No wonder the bible enjoins us to meditate on the word. Think about the miracles in the bibles. Let them provide food for your mind. Re-live them until they become real to you. Look at your day to day problems with the “eye” of bible miracles. Remember that God is able to do today what He did yesterday. May God bless you with a thinking mind, and may your thoughts focus on the answer! Bible Reading: Joshua 15,16,17 and John7 Action Point: I will create miracles in my life and round me by listening to messages on the subject of my interest and also reading books on the subject of focus! I will meditate on them until it becomes real to me!

Religion / The Miracle Of Prayer (II) by beckhapa: 7:49pm On Sep 02, 2019 |
Prevailing Word: “Let your requests be made known to God”- Philippians 4:6 Memory Verse: (For after all these things do the gentiles seek for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things”-Matthew 6:32 Some of us view prayer as a means of venting our frustrations. We unconsciously turn prayer into a time of complaining and reminding God of our needs. Sometimes in our frustration, we even forget to mention our requests. There is no place in the scripture where we are commanded to tell God our needs, yet, this is a common habit of so many of us. Child of God, our memory verse reminds us that God already knows our needs. What He wants to hear is our request(s). Take for instance the story of the healing of blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52). When the blind man finally stood before the Lord, he was asked, “what wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” as a beggar, and blind man, the man had several possible needs- like for money, clothes, help with his family introduction to governmental leaders for various favours, healing for his eyes, etc. Receiving his sight was just one out of several other needs. Jesus did not assume that He already knew what the man wanted. In verse 50, the bible tells us that the blind man discarded his garments in order to go to Jesus – So, he also needed clothes. Jesus said to him, “What specifically do you want?” Without hesitating, the man replied, “ Lord, that I might receive my sight”. I want you to notice that he did not mention the particular one that he wanted God to address. You certainly have many needs. They may even be very pressing to the point that you are feeling frustrated about them. Please calm down and sort out your feelings so that you can determine your requests. Don’t just jump into prayer without thinking. What exactly do you want God to do? Finding your answer to this questions is extremely important. Most prayer failures occur during the time of designing your prayer requests. If the prayer request is wrong, God cannot answer it. There are many “demonic” prayer requests! That’s one of the ways that the enemy frustrates believers. God is not committed to answering every prayer request. Knowing this, the devil suggests prayer requests to believers because he understands that God will never answer such requests. When such prayers are unanswered, the believers involved eventually feel frustrated. Some may go as far as not praying again. The following kinds of prayer requests will never be answered. (i) Telling God your needs instead of your requests. (ii) Asking God to do for you something which He commanded you to do. eg. asking God to humble you instead of obeying His command to humble yourself. In other words, if something is a command, what is needed is “obedience”, not prayer. Sometimes, prayer can be a type of disobedience! May your prayers never become acts of disobedience! (iii) Asking God for something forbidden in the scripture. For example, the bible says “not to covet” anything belonging to some else. So it wrong to ask God to give you somebody s’ car, or wife or husband etc. (iv) Asking God to give you something He has already given you. Sometimes due to ignorance of divine provisions, many are praying that God will give them “righteousness”. They do not realize that in Christ, righteousness has already been given. (v) Asking God to bless your “sinful” plans. And so on. Some people love to pray for things which God has NOT promised in Scripture, you have no business asking God for it. Prayer Requests must be consistent with God’s promises and character. If that prayer is very important, then, think before you pray. Screen and edit your Prayer list until you reduce them to the MOST IMPORTANT ONE(S) Jesus said that prayer must be based on “what thing soever you desire”. (Mark11:24). If you don’t have a strong desire about that prayer request then it is not worth praying about. Work on your prayer list. For each prayer request, study the bible in order to locate the scriptures that definitely promise you these things. Eliminate all unscriptural requests. Then check your motives. Why do you want God to answer that particular request? (James 4:1-3). The request may be right but the motive may be wrong. God does not always respond according to His promises alone. He also considers our hearts and His character. The time you spend examining your prayer request is not wasted time. If your prayer request is right, God will always say “yes” to you. It is better to get 2 requests answered positively than pray 100 prayer request which are never answered you will succeed. Prayer is a Miracle Bible Reading: Joshua 12,13,14 and John 6 https://www.facebook.com/reo43331/posts/2431872410222198

Religion / Seeing And Entering The Kingdom Of God by beckhapa: 4:04pm On Aug 30, 2019 |
Prevailing Word: “Jesus answered and said unto him, verily verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. – John 3:3 Memory Verse: “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. – John 3:5 Have you “seen” the Kingdom of God since you got born-again or since you joined a living church? The second aspect is if you have been able to “enter” the kingdom of God. I don’t think many of us have been able to experience this “seeing” and “entering” dimension of the born-again experience as it relates to the Kingdom of God. “Seeing” the kingdom is a spiritual exercise or experience that will forever alter all your values and priorities. Jesus Christ our Lord spent the entire 13th chapter of Matthew teaching about the kingdom of God. It was a frequent theme of His ministry. One of the parable, He gave concerning the kingdom is found in Matthew 13: 44-46. The Kingdom of heaven is like “a treasure hid in a field”. A man found it and sold everything he had in order to buy that field. A merchantman found that “pearl of great price” and sold everything he had in order to get that pearl. These two people reportedly sold everything they had in order to access the kingdom. They “saw” or ‘discovered’ something about that kingdom that made them, to give up everything in order to access the kingdom! Have you “seen” anything in the Kingdom of God that will make you to give up everything else in order to get it. Jesus our Lord says that unless one is born-again, he won’t be able to “see” that kingdom. The kingdom of God is a “world” inside “our world” – where God’s Word is obeyed unquestionably. It is a kingdom where miracles are the norm, where righteousness and true holiness are its “culture”. It is a kingdom of absolute abundance and wealth, where there is no scarcity. Everyone inside that kingdom lives a healthy life. No sickness, no disease, no death. It is “heaven on earth”. It takes the “born-again” experience to start perceiving or seeing this great kingdom. It is a kingdom where God communes with man freely. It is “another level of existence”. It is with a parallel universe. Satan, demons, sin, sickness, poverty, etc have no place there. It takes the born-again “experience to “enter” that kingdom. Seeing is different from entering. Moses saw the promised land but did not enter it. You will see and you will enter. Action Point: If you have never had the born-again experience, it is time for you to accept Jesus into your life so that you experience heaven on earth. ....................................................................................................... Prayer Point: Oh Lord, as from today I will begin to obey your word in Jesus Name Amen! Bible Reading: Joshua 9,10,11 and John 5 https://www.facebook.com/reo43331/posts/2426088690800570 1 Like

Religion / No More Worrying: The First Law Of Prayer by beckhapa: 5:55pm On Aug 29, 2019 |
NO MORE WORRYING: THE FIRST LAW OF PRAYER ........................................................................................ Prevailing Word: “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God”.-Philippians 4:6 ....................................................................................................... Memory Verse: “Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life, more than meat and the body than raiment? - Matthew 6:25. God showed that one of the main reasons why many believers do not grow spiritually or get their prayers answered is worry and anxiety. So the first law of prayers is not prayer- but worry and anxiety- free. No wonder, the great apostle, Paul, shows us by the spirit, “Be anxious or worried about anything. Nothing is too important for you to worry about it. In our memory verse, Jesus mentioned some of the things people worried about in his day: food, clothes, drinks etc. in our days today, the list is a bit longer. People worry about old age, dying, marriage, getting poor etc. but whatever it is – has already been covered within the provisions of “Be careful for nothing”. You will notice in Philippians 4:6 (Our Prevailing Word for today), that before Paul talked about prayer, he talked about “Not worrying”. Why is worrying so dangerous to prayer? Well, worrying will fill your inner man with fear, negative faith or expectations, and will either prevent you from praying, or neutralise the prayers you have already prayed. Worry infects the imagination with horrible mental pictures of calamity, prayer-failure, sickness, accidents, marital infidelity and poisons the emotions. It paralyses the will power or weakens it to the point where it will yield to things the person hates. In Mark 4:18-19, we are told the parable of the sower. The seed that fell among thorns represent “the cares of this world” (ie the worries of life), the deceitfulness of riches and lusts of other things. Ultimately, the seed becomes unfruitful. So the first law of prayer and spiritual growth is the law of eradicating all worries. No matter how legitimate a situation might be, worrying about it is absolutely wrong. But removing or avoiding worry can be “easier said than done”. How do we come to that point where we are 100% worry-free? Worry is a kind of poison. It is behind so many of our troubles. Some of us have practised it to the point that if we do not worry, we become worried that we are not worrying. To us being worried is a sign that one is same, sympathetic, spiritual or even smart. Well, the first thing might be to stop glorifying or legitimizing it. Secondly, we need to firmly decide and determine to never worry again. Our determination should be so strong that the next time we worry, we should treat it as a sin. We should confess it and move back to faith thoughts. Worry destroys faith and replaces it with fear. Thirdly, ask the Lord for help in this area. Once you are free from worry, your prayer life and spiritual growth will shoot up in power. ....................................................................................................... Action Point: From today, Eliminate every kind of worries in Life! ....................................................................................................... Religion / The Great Divine Multiplier by beckhapa: 8:55pm On Aug 15, 2019 |
Prevailing Word: “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness” -2 Corinthians 9:10 .................................................................................................................................................................................................... Memory Verse: “And said, by myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies”-Gen 22:16-17 ..................................................................................................................................................................................................... Our God is the most high. One of His areas of specialization is MULTIPLYING seeds. When the bible talks about seeds, it means your offspring (Genesis 22: 16-17); the word of God (Luke 8:11); the children of Kingdom (Matthew 13:38); your financial gifts to God (2 Corinthians 9:6-10) and your words. God told Adam and Eve to “multiply and replenish” the earth (Genesis 1: 28). He gave the same command to Noah (Genesis 9:1). By saying these things, God automatically empowered these to multiply. When Abraham connected with our great Multiplier, he was told that God would multiply his descendants to be as the “the sand on the seashore” (Genesis 13:16) as numerous as “ the stars of heaven” (Genesis 15:5). Later on, God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. When he did as commanded, God gave him the covenant of multiplication (Genesis 22:16-17). Today, we can verify that God kept that promise of multiplication to Abraham and his descendants. In the bible, we see that God not only multiplied the descendants of Abraham, He also multiplied resources. God multiplied food in the time of Elisha (1 Kings 17:7-16). He multiplied “manna and quail” to feed 3 million jews for years. He multiplied bread and fish two times in the days of Jesus Christ, 5000 and 4000 men respectively (besides women and children). He “multiplied” or “turned” water into wine- to meet a need at a wedding. He caused the oil belonging to a widow to keep pouring into all the empty containers until they were all filled up. He caused the flour and oil of the widow of Zarephath to keep multiplying until her family was sustained for three years. In other words, God has proved that He is a great multiplier, but He does not multiply everything. He only multiplies the seeds we have sown (2 Corinthians 9: 10). Before He could multiply the bread and fishes to feed thousands, a small boy had to sow his lunch as seed. Before he could multiply the flour and oil of the widow of Zarephath, she had to sow the flour and oil as a seed. If you sow your life as a seed into God’s hand, He will multiply the quality and quantity of your life. Hannah was a barren woman but when she had a son, she sowed him as a seed into the house of God, immediately, God gave her more sons. I challenge you to worship the Great Multiplier. There is nothing He cannot multiply once He takes possession of it. He can multiply your descendants, your resources, money, your “seed sown”. Not only will He “multiply your seed sown”, but He will also “increase the fruits of your righteousness”. He will minister “bread” to you for eating but He will also minister seed for sowing. Discern the difference between “bread” and “seed” Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 28, 29, 30 and John 1…………………………………………………………………................................................................. Action Point: Start sowing “seed” today............................................................................................................................................... https://web.facebook.com/reo43331/posts/2399707220105384 1 Share

Religion / Mission Is Different From Evangelism by beckhapa: 4:52pm On Aug 14, 2019 |
Mission is Different from Evangelism …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Prevailing Word: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” –Habakkuk 2:14 Memory Verse: “Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:” -Romans 15: 20 …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Mission and evangelism generally involve preaching of the gospel. While doing missions, you must evangelize at some point but it is possible to engage in evangelism without doing missions. In evangelism, you generally aim to bring unsaved people to Christ but in missions, your targets are those unbelievers who have never heard the gospel before. In this era of internet, terrestrial and satellite T.V air travel etc, are there people that have never heard the gospel for the first time. The answer is “yes”. For example, in Nigeria, there are 80 (eighty) tribes or people groups that are yet to be evangelized (M.A.N.I. report). In India, there are 2252 people groups that are yet to know about Jesus. There are people who have NEVER heard the gospel. The name “Jesus” is unknown to so many. In muslim, budhists and hindu countries, people can live out their entire life times without meeting a single christians or seeing a church. In the rural areas of Nigeria, the need is evident. I have heard villagers in the remote village wondering who this Jesus is. When you focus your evangelistic efforts among the unreached groups, you are said to be doing missions. If you are preaching to unbelievers who have heard the gospel before but have chosen not to repent, that’s evangelism. So the big difference between missions and evangelism is one of focus. Are you concentrating on reaching the unreached or just preaching to the same people who have heard the gospel several times without repentance? “Why should anyone hear the gospel twice while some have never heard it once?”-Oswald J. Smith Mission is so important to God. We should not keep preaching to the same people over and over again while there are people who have never heard the gospel even for once. Jesus our Savior said that until all the nations of the world are evangelized, the end will not come (Matthew 24:14). God wants every tribe to hear the gospel. They may or may not respond positively but God needs them to get a chance to accept or reject the gospel. Recently, I was among the santali people of India. In India, they are among the group called the “tribalus” They are not hindus but they are not involved in worshipping anything else except their ancestors. We travelled through tens of villages and saw no churches. Can you imagine the sense of hopelessness that an outreach an unreached person lives with? Friends, we need to get the gospel to every tribe, every village and every rural area in the world. Meditate on Matthew 24:14 “and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations: and then shall the end come”. Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 25, 26, 27 and Luke 24 ………………………………………………………………………… Action Point: I will make up my mind to engage in missions by visiting a village to take the gospel to them! …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Prayer Point: Oh Lord, give the strength to go out for Rural Missions in Jesus name https://www.facebook.com/reo43331/posts/2397787626964010

Religion / How To Become A True Prophet (i) by beckhapa: 3:13pm On Aug 09, 2019 |
HOW TO BECOME A TRUE PROPHET (I) Prevailing Word: “The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest….and the hand of the Lord was there upon him”. –Ezekiel 1:3 Memory verse: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not”. Jeremiah 33:3. There has been a lot of concern about the proliferation of the prophetic ministries nowadays. So many true believers desire to flow in the prophetic and they often ask, “how can I become a prophet?’ Well, you have to be “a priest” first. By “priest”, I do not mean for you to become an ordained clergyman in any of the main live historic churches. A “priest” is an intercessor- basically. He represents men before God. From our Prevailing Word, Ezekiel was first of all “a priest” before he became a prophet. All of us can function as priests- because 1 Peter 2:9 declares that we are a “royal priesthood”. The work of a priest is to offer spiritual sacrifices to God on behalf of one’s self and others. We intercede for God to forgive the sins of others. We take up their needs and concerns before God until God gives us a message for them. Then we also offer the sacrifices of praise and worship to God (1 Peter 2:5,9). Are you aware of your priesthood as a believer? Are you already standing the gap, praying for people by name -that God would forgive them? (1 John 5:16). Are you receiving “life” and “forgiveness” for these believers that have sinned or are you busy criticizing, gossiping and fault-finding them? When God comes down to make people prophets, He looks for those who are already functioning as “priests” like Ezekiel. A prophet is one who has received a “burden” from the Lord. True prophets are identified by the “divine burdens” they are carrying, but false prophets only carry revelations. “The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi” (Malachi 1:1). These “burdens” come to the “priest” as he/she intercedes and as he opens his mouth to declare them, he becomes “a prophet”. “Burdens are greater than “mere” revelations: They have to deal with eternal issues. That is why most bible prophets did not prophesy about temporal issues such as “bread and butter” personal prophecies. They prophesied about Christ, about social justice, and about end-time issues. Many of our modern prophets prophesy about people’s secrets, money, marriage and primarily, they are “very light”. They have no “burden” from the Lord. The prophets of old were burdened about nations, God’s end-time plans etc. “Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness: yet I sent them not, nor commanded them, therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord”- Jeremiah 23:32 Child of God, start functioning as a priest. Become an intercessor today. Provide solutions to other people’s problems. Call upon God for others and He will “show you” things about them that will cause you to become a prophet. You can’t use a short cut. If we fail as intercessors, God will never give us prophecies to the people we are not willing to pray for. ................................................................................................. Shout Hallelujah. Bible Reading for the year: Deuteronomy 13, 14, 15 and Luke 20 ................................................................................................. Prayer point: Oh Lord may I have that burden that comes from you and as from today I will key into my office(1Peter 2:9) as an intercessor in Jesus name! ...................................................................................................https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2386416361434470&id=100001983878547&ref=bookmarks

Religion / The God Who Brings You Out by beckhapa: 11:29pm On Aug 07, 2019 |
THE GOD WHO BRINGS YOU OUT ……………………………………………………………………… Prevailing Word: “And he said unto him I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give this land to inherit it” –Genesis 15:7 ……………………………………………………………………… Memory Verse: I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land, of Egypt, out of the house of bondage” Exodus 20: 2 ……………………………………………………………………… Our God specializes in bringing His loved ones OUT of certain evil places. He loves us to remind ourselves of who He is. He reminds us of Himself in case we forget. The journey to God’s perfect will or the place of destiny fulfillment often requires divine relocation. When God decides to completely transform a man or woman, He often also removes him or her from where they are. Why does God get involved in taking us out of a place to another place? He gets involved in taking us out because when we stay long in a particular place, we become so attached to the place that we practically enter into “bondage” to that place. Even in our dreams, we find ourselves going back to the places of our nativity or schools we attended or the relationships we have left or to the churches we have left. Living in a place can affect your spirituality, finances, and your destiny negatively. Lot’s destiny became destroyed because he went and settled in Sodom. As long as Abraham lived in Ur of the Chaldees, his destiny remained stagnant. Jesus had to leave Nazareth before his ministry could go forward. His leaving Nazareth was a spiritual event recorded in Matthew 4:13-16. God warned Jeremiah not to get involved or have children in Israel during the captivity years (Jeremiah 16:1-4). Sometimes you might enter a land when the going is good but after a while, that good land becomes a “house of bondage”. When the people of Israel initially went to Egypt, they had a privileged status and relaxed there. After some years, that “Goshen” of favoured treatment became a “house of bondage”. They spent 430 years there. It had to take God for them to be able to come out. There are places we are living in or staying in right now that has become our own “house of bondage”. When a place becomes a house of “bondage” it means that without divine judgment and divinely-granted upheavals, we might NOT be able to leave there. God spoke to the children of Israel after they left Egypt, “Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians and how I bare you on eagle’s wings and brought you unto myself”(Exodus 19:4). Someone reading this right now might be in a great need to leave “Ur of Chaldees” or “Egypt-House of bondage”. You probably feel so tied down in that place. You feel as if your life is gradually ebbing away. You have stayed too long in your “Nazareth” and deep in your heart, you sense it is time to “leave” Nazareth. You may have even tried several times to leave but it always failed. I believe it is time to lift up your eyes to the Lord- the God who specializes in bringing people OUT of places where they are NOT meant to be. Maybe your “Ur of the Chaldees” was o.k. initially but right now, you have to leave it. Your “Egypt” probably used to be a place where you found your “Goshen” but now, it has turned into a “House of Bondage”. God will bring you OUT this season. If the powers in your location try to keep you back, God will arise and shake them off. Beloved, some shaking is on the way. You are breaking free. Abraham’s father, Terah had to die so that Abraham could leave. The firstborn of all Egyptians had to die. Something around you will soon die or expire. God is getting ready to take you out. ................................................................................................. Shout Hallelujah. MONEYWIVES Dan Ozoko In one of tribes where we carry out missionary evangelism,we came across a strange tradition. When a man feels that he has made enough money,he will go to another family to purchase a little girl as a wife, hence the term,"Money Wife". The driving rationale behind this practice is that it is only children born by the "Money Wife" that are culturally authorised to provide food for the ghost or the spirit of the dead rich man after his death. They believe that when a person dies, his spirit would wander up and down, looking for food.It is the children born by the "Money Wife" that can feed the dead man's spirit. For this reason, the children of "Money Wife" are highly valued. They are the ones to get the inheritance of the man that purchased their mother. Now the story begins to get troubling when you wish to find out why they call the woman a "Money Wife".They will tell you that this woman is not like the real wife of the man.She is treated like the scum of the earth.Usually there is great age gap between the man and his moneywife because she is bought at birth or a little after.Sometimes the man might bet with a pregnant woman that if she gives birth to a female, she would become a moneywife. So as soon as the baby girl is born, she is quickly prepared for handover to her man.Usually the man is much older and often married to an adult wife.Unfortunately the children born by the adult wife is not valued as those of the moneywife. In most cases, the young moneywife begins sexual activities much earlier than normal girls. In several cases, because the husband can no longer perform sexually, the moneywife gradually becomes a rural prostitute but any children born out of that, still belongs to the man that purchased her. Because of the fact that children of moneywives are expected to feed the man that purchased their mothers, such purchasers do not allow their moneywives to go to church or school so that they will never learn any new ideas that will kill this evil tradition. This means that moneywives though they are young can never go to school. If they try to join the church, they will be thoroughly beaten.Through pure terror and fear, they are kept in bondage. They are threathened with death if they try to break free. They are constantly reminded of how expendable they are. There are even some rituals for killing any disobedient moneywife. They live in hell. If the original purchaser of a moneywife dies, his son inherits the woman. The moneywife is treated with great cruelty. She is at the mercy of her purchaser. You might wish to know how much is usually paid to acquire a moneywife.I was so shocked to learn that most of them are bought for very little amounts of money. In most cases, cash is not even involved ....just a few items that cost very little. This shows that it is the children of very poor people that are usually sold as moneywives. This is not "Lamb tales from Shakespeare".This is the reality in one of the tribes where we work.I am withholding the name of this tribe because I respect them.By the grace of God,a large number of their people have turned to the Lord and are very ashamed of this culture. Now the real reason I am sharing this,is because we need your help to get some of the moneywives out of this bondage. We have been struggling to provide education for them where possible or for their children. It has not been easy.A good number need to be in school. Can you prayerfully consider providing school fees for them? Some of the moneywives need serious rehabilitation. They need to have a means of livelihood after getting born again. Can you pray about this? Thirdly,a good number of them will need some kind of counseling or therapy in dealing with years of sexual exploitation, trauma and domestic violence.Though they have accepted Christ, there will be need for a kind of sanctified counseling by Spirit-filled psychologists or social workers. This is a call for volunteers who are professionally qualified to step out and help. I only ask that we as believers do not sensationalise this issue. Our goal is to bring healing to these troubled women who were bought with the precious blood of Jesus. We do not want unnecessary publicity of their identities. They have already suffered a lot. So I will not post the picture of any moneywife.Rather I will show you the kind of jungle villages where they live. I want you to think about these women. They didn't ask to be born into such communities. They have known nothing but suffering since birth. To be continued Remain blessed. |
