Hello guys, I just found this thread and Im enjoying it.

A quick one please, I do have problem with my HP Pavilion dv9000. I use a window vista operating system.
I have used it for almost 2 years now and it just started having a start up problem. Each time I start,
it sometimes refuses to load the OS and would just stop midway like that, though sometimes it loads fully.
Each time it does that, I will long press on the start button to put it off and restart from the button again.
This could go on like 3 or 4 times before it eventually start up normally. I will like to know the cause of this effect and the possible solution.
Career / Re: Mechanical Engineers Forum by beewhyfocs(m): 11:09pm On May 26, 2010
Mechanical engineering, a funny course that you study yet you dont feel you have got what it takes to function as an engineer.

Until challenges and situations arise in the normal day to day activities at work place or life generally. Then you begin to recall

the theories and principles that you never thought of earlier. The idea is this, most things needed to succeed in the field have

been apparently supplied during the studies but students are usually oblivious of these. My advise, never take for granted your

basic engineering knowledge, they will speak volumes later in life.

To everyone, whats your best option or course(s) you ever studied during your undergraduate programme as a mechanical engineer?

Okocha no doubt had a brilliant carreer. Am impressed. However, i find it cowardly that he failed to confront the issues he mention.
Surely, not right. There was no point suffering in silence and then having a poor outing at the WC.
Oliseh was right in all respect. Kudos to him

And where is the Sunday Oliseh today?

I have lived in Somolu, mushin, Bariga and Ikorodu and have been 2 most parts of Lagos. The truth is, the situation is not as bad as portrayed. These areas might not be the best places to live but certainly not the worst at all.

Tnx Joxiri. I would try and put enough money and only do little transaction with a marginal difference in balance. I sure will keep tab over the balance.

And as per the other question, which is better to use; a savings or current account?

I guess you are on point by asking Joxiri the quick question!Putting on the shoes of the case officer handling your application,i would likely be suspicious as to why no activities had taken place in your account.I advise you try to use the account but do not,i repeat,do not let the sum at the end of the month go below £2,800.

Hope this helps.

Tnx so much Liliana, that was insightful. I should follow your advice as expressed!

@ joxiri

A quick one again, as regards dumping the money there without transacting with the account to avoid a drop in the amount, wont that look somehow. By that approach, the statement of account might nt show as if one uses the account regularly. I hope that wl nt affect the decision! Just being curious.

it has to be 2800 pounds for a period of 3 months
if u put the money in on the 10th of april it needs to be there till the 10th of july without droppiing a penny and i please reiterate make sure it dont drop when u put that money in just throw the card away
it can be in uk account or nigerian as long as it is 2800 pounds and do remember for currency fluctuations put sufficient money in  if it is the naira equivalent
you can use a uk account or a nigerian account or a combination of both provided that for that 3 month period the total balance in the accounts is 3qual to 2800 excluding any overdrafts
@ joxiri
Tnx 4 d info. Yea i kno its 3 months and i plan 2 leave it as advised and preferably in a Nigeria account since im in Naija 4 nw.

Another quick one, should it be in savings or current account?
Travel / Re: 10 Years Ban For Overstaying In The UK. And Migrants Coming To The UK. by beewhyfocs(m): 1:15pm On Apr 05, 2010
A slight digression please. I recently completed a masters degree (MSc) in the uk and have since returned to Nigeria on time. I plan to apply for post study visa for which Im eligible. The question is, can the £2800 deposit be in a Naira equivalent account in Nigeria or must it be UK? I Ve checkd on d site and it is not explicitly specified.

Note, I returned to Naija abt 4 months b4 my student visa expired, so its nt an overstay case.

Another thing I've noticed is that, a lot of guys recently grow into their looks, as guys tend to get more handsome the older they grow, basically some good looking men are actually quite shy, because inside they're still that insecure geeky boy with no experience with ladies tongue - just a theory folks!!

Your theory makes sense. Ive noticd it too.

Romance / Re: Why Is It Difficult To Attract Handsome Men by beewhyfocs(m): 10:55pm On Apr 03, 2010
Very simple. You simply attract who you are and not necessarily who you think you should attract. Yes, fine boys want fine girls, still they cant rule out the fact that they want cool-headed and well behaved girls. On the contrary, girls feel their beauty is enough asset to pin down the guy!

Distributing buses and yet the schools are not up to standard, and no light for the kids to read for exams . . . . . .

So because the schools are nt up to standard, good transportation should not be provided? Why do we always expect the decadence of 50 yrs to be arrested in one day? Its a gradual thing!

Don't they use types anymore which enables them to re-arrange the questions in different orders?

I said 1999, so i used the trends before 1999 for the preparation. Even the type thing started in the 1999 UME. The re-arranging of the question notwithstanding did not matter. Just that my question 50 could be your question 40.

Having wrote that, I only cited an instance. Ok?
Education / Re: 2010 Admission ‘ll Be Worst - Jamb Registrar by beewhyfocs(m): 2:56pm On Mar 30, 2010
Under UTME, the best goes to the Uni while the rest are sent to the poly or college of education. The result of ds is that in d future d employers, who wants the best tilt towards uni graduate as they ve bn doin. This makes poly grad looks lyk unfortunate uni product.
