When I say love, I'm not referring to the normal love we all know, like the erotic love, playful love or obsessive love. But I'm referring to the selfless love that comes from God.



This is the highest form of love and that is what God has shown to us by giving His only begotten son to die for the world. No form of love is greater than this. If you have not experienced it, then you've not experienced the greatest feeling in life.



Let me show you how I know God has loved you already and why you shouldn't have any doubt in your heart that God loves you.

Malachi 1:2-3

[2]“I have always loved you,” says the lord. But you retort, “Really? How have you loved us?” And the lord replies, “This is how I showed my love for you: I loved your ancestor Jacob,

[3]but I rejected his brother, Esau, and devastated his hill country. I turned Esau’s inheritance into a desert for jackals.”



God loved you even before you were born

It was God that first decided to love you and the love was unconditional. He loved you without demanding anything upfront.



These days the way human relationship works is called a win-win situation in which different parties in the relationship wants to derive benefits from the relationship.



For instance, if you are a guy and you love a lady, there will be a reason why you love or maybe something you find attractive in her.



The love God has for you is not based on what he finds attractive in you but God has loved you before you were being given birth to.



He does not love you because of your voice, your height, your beautiful face or even by your intelligence level. God loves you because He is love.







Jesus came to die for the world but only those who believe in him will benefit from His death.



Jesus came to the world so that He might die for the whole world and that's what He did. But it is only those who accept Jesus into their lives that will benefit from His death. The death of Jesus Christ is actually the demonstration of God's greatest love towards everyone.



If you do not accept Jesus into your life, you are only denying yourself of God's greatest love. That great love of God also has great benefits.



The way you benefit more from a deep relationship (like a spouse) than normal friendship is same way you benefit more from accepting Jesus into your life than not accepting Him.







You have a decision to make; either to accept Jesus or not.

Accepting Jesus into your life is a decision you need to make yourself, nobody can make that decision for you.



You cannot be forced into accepting Jesus into your life because accepting Him comes from your heart and not through initiation.



You can join a cult through initiation even though your heart is not there. There are cases of people that have joined cults unknowingly because they ate some concussions mistakenly but accepting Jesus is only from your heart and through no other means.



Even if you are being forced to go to church every day or you sleep on the altar of the church every night or you even relocate to the church, that doesn't mean you've accepted Jesus into your life. Accepting Him has to come from your heart.



If you accept Jesus, God will also accept you.

If you accept Jesus, then the great benefits of God’s love will be accessible to you but if you do not accept Jesus then the great benefits won't be accessible to you.



So make your choice wisely, my advice is that you accept Jesus into your life as that seems to be the wisest and the most beneficial choice to make.

There was this beautiful lady that lived in a town. She was the most beautiful of all ladies in the town, she was admired by all men in the town.

She had a secret in her heart and that secret was that she liked a handsome guy in the town.

This guy was handsome, fun loving, interesting but he had one issue. The issue he had was that he liked procrastinating.

This beautiful lady waited many days for this handsome to come and ask her out but he never showed up.

This handsome guy also liked the lady too, he wanted to go and asked her out. Whenever he wants to try the fear of rejection comes to his mind.

Some years later he summoned courage, he met with the lady, took her on a date and asked her out.

Do you know the answer he got?

The lady told him she’s been waiting for him a long time but he didn’t show up.

She told him another guy just proposed to marry her some days back and she has accepted. So because she’s a lady of integrity she said she’s not changing her mind.

That was how this handsome guy missed having the most beautiful lady in the town all because of procrastination. He can still get another beautiful lady but he has missed this chance already.

This goes to show that when you procrastinate you can lose your success to those who are not as competent as you are.

The Bible says a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of hand so shall poverty come upon you like a bandit and scarcity attack you like an armed man.

You can also say it means continuous planning, continuous focus, continuous hard work so shall success shall come upon you like a friend and abundance attack you like a lover.

The sleep and slumber in this aspect refers to laziness and procrastination

So if you are lazy and you procrastinate a lot, it will be hard for you to succeed but when you plan and work, success will actually be your result.

when you consistently do the right things you will always get the right results. Success is a habit you need to inculcate into your system

You will succeed based on the activities you do consistently and not based on one superb activity you do.

For instance, what makes a musical artist successful on stage is the practice that has been done backstage and their performance on stage, but any artist that depends on just stage performance is likely to fail.

When you consistently do the wrong thing you will always get the wrong results. So if you also develop bad habits, you will do wrong activities and get wrong results.

The price that was paid for your Salvation is the life of Jesus. So even though Salvation is free, it was paid for and should not be taken for granted.



The truth is that most people do not cherish free gifts they like they are supposed to. I will give you a quick instance, whenever I browse the internet I usually come across freebies like e-books and softwares which I download most times.



But I’ve noticed that I don’t read most of these e-books and that’s because they are free. Possibly because I feel the e-books are not really valuable.



But I tell you if I had paid to get those e-books I would definitely read it because I want to get value for my money.



Whenever I buy books I make sure I read them. It just unconscious act as I don’t think much before reading those books but this happens because I paid for those books.



I’m not saying I don’t read free e-books or books I get but most times it might take a while or I might not even read some at all.



But the truth is some of these books could be more valuable in terms of content than the ones I bought myself.



I don’t want you to take salvation you’ve gotten for granted because it’s free. God actually paid for your Salvation by giving His only begotten son Jesus.



The best freebie you can ever get in life is Salvation. Even though it is free, it is also very costly at the same.



No one can pay the price for Salvation except God.



So my advice to you today is to cherish the salvation that you have gotten by avoiding sin.



But if you have not given your life to Jesus then you do not have salvation yet. The first step you need to take so as to be saved is to accept Jesus into your life.

One of the easiest things to do in life is to make excuses for not doing what we are supposed to do.

This is actually common with lazy people because they like doing what seems easy and making excuses is one.

Proverbs 22 vs 13

The lazy person claims, “There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!”

That is the thinking of a lazy man they always make excuses for taking actions. They have several reasons why they think that will fail.

I do not want you to operate in this category, what I want is for you to be as bold as a lion and always take action when necessary.

So let’s look at some dangers of making excuses



It can cause destruction
Making excuses can lead to destruction in the sense that situations may get damaged beyond control.

Like in the case of Moses when God called him to come lead the people of Israel out of Egypt, he kept giving God excuses on why he should not be the one to go.

He gave an excuse for not being eloquent enough to carry out the task God wants him to do. That excuse almost destroyed him because when he was traveling back to Egypt an angel of God almost killed Moses.

He was saved because God had mercy on him and because of his wife’s timely intervention. But not everyone will be able to receive mercy from God if they are in such a situation.

This goes to show you that making excuses can lead to destruction. don’t think this story is old because same thing still applies in the world today.

You see people making excuses to take alcohol, they tell you they are just taking for pleasure, so as to have fun or so that they can kill their thoughts.

The fact remains that no matter the excuse you give when the alcohol is in excess, it will definitely have a negative effect.

For instance, when you take too much alcohol it can affect the organs in your body thereby leading to incurable sickness, or maybe someone that’s drunk and driving at the same time. All these can lead to destruction.



It can have impact on others
When you give excuses, you are not the only one that will feel the impact, people around you will also feel the impact.

Look at from this angle, if you get blessed, you can also help others to get blessed too. But when you give excuses and there’s no blessing, then no-one gets blessed through you.

In the case of Moses, if he had not taken action, the Israelites might have stayed a longer time in Egypt.

so can you see that one man’s action can affect a whole nation and if that one man keeps making excuses the effect will keep rubbing off on the others around him.

Now you can see that your actions can affect those around you and when you make excuses too, you are not the only person that gets affected, it also affects others around you.



It can cause shame
we need not say it again that giving excuses has its own repercussions. When I remember the story of Saul it reminds me of a good story on how giving excuses can cause shame.

When God told him to go and destroy the Amalakite. complete, Saul did not destroy them completely instead he gave an excuse.

His excuse for not destroying the Amalakite completely was because he wanted to use the cattle, goat and sheep spared to make a sacrifice to God.

This excuse actually put Saul in shame because God left him and rejected him as king. The kingdom of Israel was also given to another family instead of Saul’s.

That goes to show you that giving excuses can cause shame.



It can hinder success
We all want to be successful in life and one of the obstacles that can hinder our success is making excuses all the time.

Some people have become a master at making excuses. They always give excuses for their failures.

With a spirit like this success is not sure because when you keep making excuses about your failures it shows that you are not. responsible for your actions. what that simply means is that you are not responsible.

A good example is Gideon when he was called by God to be judge over the Israelites, he made excuses of how his family was small and he wasn’t the eldest in his family.

The excuses served as a hindrance that did not want to Gideon to achieve success but God had mercy on Gideon, he led Israel to war and he was successful.

It can hinder the promises of God in your life
God has given every individual on earth promises based on His word. Sometimes we might have excuses on why we are not qualified to receive the promises but they are all lies.

when God sent angels to Abraham and told him that he and Sarah would have a baby soon. Sarah had a valid excuse for not believing that promise.

By that Sarah was old and had passed the stage of child bearing. so medically she was right but spiritually she was wrong.

God eventually had mercy on her and she gave birth to Isaac. So whenever God sends you a promise just believe that he will do it and walk in faith with God. Don’t doubt God or make excuses because of the circumstances around you instead you should believe and you shall succeed.

Samson was a Nazarite. He was dedicated to God from birth. As a Nazarite he wasn’t meant to drink alcohol and no razor was meant to touch the hair on his head.

Samson judged Israel for 20 years and he delivered them from the Philistines.



In the cause of judging Israel, Samson made some mistakes, which includes sleeping with a harlot and taking God’s grace upon his life for granted.



This mistake later caught up with him when he told Delilah his secret and he was captured.



At the end of it all Samson died with the Philistines but he killed more enemies while dying than when he was alive.



The reason why Samson was able to kill more enemies while he was dying was because he prayed to God for help.






So what prayer did Samson pray?



Judges 16 [28]

Then Samson prayed to the lord, “Sovereign lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.”




Remember me again. O God



Whenever you pray to God to remember you it means you simply want God to have mercy on you. So this is a prayer that you should be praying every day.



The reason why most people are still struggling in life is because they have not been remembered by God. Once God remember you then your struggles begin to end and you’ll begin to enter into the rest of God.



Examples of people God remembered in the Bible includes…



Mordecai, when he was honored while in exile.

Rachael, when she gave birth to Joseph.

Hannah, when she gave birth to Samuel.

Sarah, when she gave birth to Isaac.



You will see that in the lives of these ones, their shame was changed to glory and their struggle was over.





To be remembered also means to be restored. In the case of Samson, he was in good state but later he fell into a bad state, he fell into the hands of his enemies.



So for him to return to the earlier state where he can function like he’s supposed to, he had to pray to God to remember him.



Sometimes in your life you might notice that you are not where you used to be spiritually, you notice that your spiritual power has reduced then you need to pray to God to remember you so that you can be restored to where you are supposed to be.



This can affect different areas of your life, like your finance, your health, your relationship or your career. If you have been affected in any of these areas then you need to pray to God to remember you so that you can be restored.










Strengthen me



Samson also prayed for strength and he received it. It was when God left Samson he realized that he needed the strength of God to fight.



It was the strength that Samson received that made him able to push down the pillars of the building where he was thereby killing the Philistines.



It was when God left Samson he realized he couldn’t do it alone. You should also realize that you cannot fulfill your destiny all by yourself but you need the strength of God.


Help me fulfill my destiny

One of the greatest prayers you can pray is that God should help you fulfill your destiny, if he doesn’t help you, who will?

Samson prayed that with one blow, let me payback the Philistines for my eyes they’ve taken. You’ll notice that Samson knew he couldn’t do it all by himself so he called on God to help him.



At the end of the day God helped Samson to defeat the Philistines because he prayed.

If Samson had lose hope in God he would have just be crying over his two eyes that were taken but Samson was encouraged in God, he prayed and he was able to fulfill destiny.



No matter how bad your situation may look Good can turn it around for your good.

So whenever you fall, all you need to do is pray like Samson did and God will come and rescue you.



When you are down, you shouldn’t lose hope. Let the story of Samson inspire you, even though he lost his two eyes, he did not lose hope. He still believed that he could pay back his enemies.

I’ve always been hearing the saying that health is wealth but I’ve never really thought about it not until I felt sick then I knew the meaning because my focus was on my health and I could not think of any other thing. So let’s look at obstacles that can affect your good health.




Worry

Whenever you think too much this is a sign that you are worried. You might not believe but worrying is one of the easiest activities you can engage in. Most people that worry do it unconsciously as it feels like the normal thing to do for them when faced with situations beyond their control.



When you worry, it does not affect your health immediately as you feel comfortable and enjoy it until it gradually start eating you up.



Whenever face an issue beyond your control, do not worry because worrying won’t help you solve the issue instead focus on the activities you have control over. The scripture says “who can add a day to his life by worrying”




Not eating good food

A good food is one that will give you all the nutrients your body needs. You might think that eating processed food is good for you but in the real sense it’s not instead you should go for fruits, vegetables and cooked foods.



I understand that most people that eat processed food because it’s an easy option for them. Well I’m not against it but it becomes an issue when you take too much of it.



You should start eating more fruits, vegetables, well cooked food and also take multivitamin drugs so that you can stay healthy.


Not taking enough water

Water is needed for several reasons in your body which includes digestion, to remove waste from your and it helps against dehydration. So you can see the importance of water in your body.



You should also know that whenever you sweat, breathe or whenever digestion takes place your body loses water and that’s why you need to drink enough water.

But you might be wondering how often you should take water. As for me there are no rules to this, it’s best you take water whenever you feel thirsty.


Lack of exercise

Not engaging in exercise is actually bad because exercise has a whole lot of benefits to your body. Exercise makes you feel good, it boosts your energy level and it even helps improve your mood. So in case you’ve been having mood swing, I suggest you start doing exercise.

You might be thinking there is no time for you to engage in physical exercise because of your daily routine. The fact is for you to function well you need to exercise your body.

It’s not compulsory you hit the gym before you exercise your body; you can actually do simple exercises like walking, jogging or press-ups.



You don’t also have to exercise for long as you can do it for 30 minutes daily and that will really improve your health.


Not getting enough sleep

Sleep is so important for you to maintain good health and at the same time too much of it is not good.

When you don’t get enough sleep it affects your whole body including your eyes. Your eyes become red, you also feel pain in your eyes and your body gets weak.

You might think it’s a good idea to deny yourself sleep in order to achieve good things in life. That’s okay but you should remember your health is more important. Well I think I’m also guilty of this.



You should try to sleep for 7 to 10 hours daily, but at least make sure you sleep for 7 hours daily, that will help you maintain a good health.




Not observing your health

It’s good you take your health serious; whenever you notice any changes in your health it’s good to visit a doctor for checkup. You need to pay attention to details when it comes to your health.



Some people believe in self-medication, sometimes that could be affect your health negatively.



So it’s always good you do a checkup whenever you notice any changes in your body system.


Bad relationships

When you don’t maintain good relationship with people around you, it can affect your health. Bad relationship can lead to depression or even high blood pressure.



You might think you’re hurting others when you maintain bad relationship with them but in the real sense you’re harming yourself.



Learn to forgive people, live in peace with all men and be a lovable person.




Not praying

The same way you can pray about your finance is same way you can pray about your health. God’s plan for you is to have good health.



Don’t leave God out of your health as most people do, they only pray to God about their health when doctors have failed.



Pray to God about your health, pray for divine health and if you are sick pray to God for divine healing.


Conclusion

Living in good health is possible if you do the right things. So make it an habit to live right and do not forget the place of prayer when it comes to your health.

Your purpose for living determines the decisions you make in life. That is one of the general principles of life. Like the bible says that a good name is better than riches, for you to build a good name is based on the decisions you make daily and to get riches also depends on the decisions you make daily.



To have a good name means having a good reputation that precedes you, it’s all about being known for something good. For instance you may be an excellent doctor, a renowned life coach, a successful engineer, a successful trainer or the CEO of a big organization. That which you do to affect lives of others is the good name you are known for.



What most people don’t know is that good name also comes with riches too. So why sell your soul just to get rich when you can actually build a good name and the riches will also follow.



Living to make money is good but there is a greater purpose than making money.



There are lots of examples in the bible but let’s take a look at a few.



For instance if you look at the life of Jesus, you will notice he was more interested in affecting peoples life, than making himself rich. That’s why he was able to feed multitudes. That’s something only a rich person can do, feeding over 5000 people. So it is right to say Jesus was rich.



Peter was also able to heal the beggar at the temple gate because he wanted to affect lives. If at all Peter was solely after money he would not be able to affect lives people.



Solomon’s case is also a classic example, God appeared to him in the dream to ask him for whatever he wanted, and Solomon chose to ask for wisdom to rule his people over asking for riches. God gave Solomon what he wanted, but also gave wealth alongside what he asked.



He was able to ask for wisdom because he wanted to impart lives. So imagine if Solomon had asked God for wealth, he would have gotten it but he wouldn’t have gotten the wisdom he required to rule his people.



These days most people live their lives for the sole purpose of getting rich, they do not have the intention of living their lives so as to add value to others. This type of purpose cannot make you fulfilled as you will always feel emptiness in your life.



What most people don’t know is when you live your life so as to make impact on others around you, riches will come to you and you will not need to start running after riches. Only then can you start living a fulfilled life once you start adding value to others.



Why don’t you think deep today then look at how you can add value to people around so as to build a good name and you will see that once you start adding value to others, you will begin to get rich gradually. But I don’t want money to be the sole aim of your purpose, I want you to have a greater purpose for living.



An example of someone in the bible that lived to make money is Judas Iscariot and you can see where it landed him, he made the wrong decisions whttp://spiritualdesire.com.ng/wp-admin/post-new.phphich led to his death. If your sole purpose for living is to make money, you will always make wrong decisions.



A lot of people keep making this mistake over again because of their love for money; they keep making wrong decisions and don’t intend to change believing a miracle will happen someday.



Do not let your sole purpose for living mainly be about getting rich, instead desire a greater purpose. Impact and add value to lives of people around you.

Jesus has different meaning to different people, some people see him as their Savior, some people see him as their provider and some see him as their helper while some see him as their healer. The only way to know what Jesus means to you is by knowing why you need Jesus.

We all need in for several reasons and we’ll be discussing some of those reasons.



For good health

In the Bible, if you look at the woman with the issue of blood she has visited several doctors to treat her and still she was not healed. But she only had one encounter with Jesus Christ and she was healed. Only Jesus could have done that.

Most people believe that once a doctor treats them, they’ll get healed. But look at the woman with the issue of blood, she even tried several doctors but nothing happened not until she met Jesus Christ. So you should know that doctors can treat you but only Jesus can heal and make you whole.

If you want to enjoy good health, Jesus can give you good health. If you are sick and you need healing, Jesus can heal you. If the doctors tell you your case is beyond them, there is still someone that can heal you and that’s Jesus Christ.



For prosperity

Peter started his career as a fisherman, in short he was an experienced fisherman but one day he went out fishing and he caught nothing. Fortunately Jesus was in his boat then Jesus gave him an instruction on how to fish, he only followed the instruction to respect Jesus but Peter deep within him felt he had all the knowledge about fishing. When he followed the instruction given to him, he was able to prosper. Jesus can help you prosper too.

A lot of times we feel we know it all, we feel we have worked for many years so we have all the experience we need to succeed. Yes, those can make you succeed but you might still not feel fulfilled. With Jesus it is a different situation as you prosper and get fulfilled at the same time. What else could you ask for than that?

The Bible says that Jesus died so that we might be rich, so can you see that Jesus is willing to prosper you, all you need to do is listen to His instructions just like Peter did and you will prosper.



For salvation

Salvation means being saved with the assurance of making heaven. Salvation can only be gotten through Jesus Christ. Zacchaeus in the Bible was a tax collector who wanted to see Jesus by all means, when he finally saw Jesus he was able to receive Salvation, not only Zacchaeus but his entire household because Jesus told him “Today, Salvation has come to this house”.

If Zacchaeus was not determined enough he would not have received Salvation that day. Zacchaeus was a short man but that did not stop him from seeking Jesus, he had to climb a sycamore-fig tree just to see Jesus.

So no matter the circumstances you find yourself, that should not stop you from seeking Jesus. Always set your mind on seeking Jesus and you will receive Salvation.



To fulfill destiny

During the early years of the church, Paul formerly known as Saul persecuted the followers of Jesus Christ but when he had an encounter with Jesus Christ he was able to discover and fulfill his destiny. His destiny was not to persecute the followers of gospel but his destiny was to preach the gospel to the gentiles.

In fact Paul thought that by persecuting the followers of the gospel that he was working for God not knowing that he was actually working against God. Not until he had an encounter with Jesus then he was able to retrace his steps. There are lots of things we do that are not in line with God’s will but when you have Jesus you’ll know God’s will for your life.

If you want to discover and fulfill God’s will for your life then you need to accept Jesus Christ into your life. You cannot fulfill your destiny all by yourself and that’s why need Jesus, it is only Jesus that can help you.



For power

If you noticed the life of the disciples of Jesus, they were ordinary people before they met Jesus Christ. But after they received Jesus into their lives, they received power to perform miracles. When you have power, your life cannot remain the same as you will be filled with more confidence.

There are lots of ways to get power but the only reliable power is that of Jesus. Powers that you get through other means do not last or they may not even be enough to help you face life challenges

To get power from Jesus, all you just need to do is ask. The bible says you should ask and you shall receive.



To increase your faith

There was a man in the bible who Jesus wanted to heal his son of evil spirit but the man’s faith was low and he had to ask Jesus to help his unbelief, it’s was after his faith was increased that his son was healed.

Most times people get comfortable with their level of faith and fail to ask Jesus to increase their faith. You should not be too comfortable with your level of faith but always try to move to a higher level. The higher you go the more miracles you have access to receive.

Always desire to increase your faith and continually ask Jesus to help you increase your faith as only him can do it.



To receive mercy

Mercy is like showing kindness to people that could be treated harshly. Example of someone who received mercy in the bible is blind Bartimaeus. He was born blind and he had no hope of seeing with his eyes again until he met Jesus. He called on Jesus to have mercy upon him and he was healed.

He received his healing because he was able to cry out to Jesus for mercy and Jesus had mercy on him. Don’t always think mercy will follow you automatic but instead you should always ask for mercy so that you can receive.

Receiving mercy can never be too much, so you should learn to ask Jesus to have mercy upon you every day as you’ll need it.



To receive grace

Grace simply means unmerited favor, it is something that you don’t deserve but it is being given to you. Paul was a man who received grace from Jesus just by having an encounter with him. It was the grace that Paul had upon his life that made it easy for him to do the will of God. Even when Paul was in prison, he was still preaching the gospel, this could only have been grace.

For you to be facing challenges and at the same time, you are still encouraging others it shows there is a level of grace upon your life.

There are some things that you cannot do on your own but only the grace of God will help you achieve it. When you become born again, you will not change all of a sudden but with time you keep shedding old habits as grace is being released unto you.

You need grace in your life and the first step to receive grace is to accept Jesus into your life once that is done you can start enjoying the grace that is made available to you.



To receive favor

At a point in the ministry of Jesus, He sent out his disciples and one of the instructions he gave them was that they should not go with money and he said “a worker should be given what he needs”. That is favor! Jesus told his disciples not to hold money because he was sure they were going to receive favor wherever they went as they had received Him already.
Even when we receive favor from men, it happens because God has sent them to favor us. So, don’t think it’s about how friendly you are, it is only God that can favor someone.

You should remember that once you have Jesus Christ in your life and you begin to do his will, you will never lack favor from men and God. So, if you want to receive favor regularly then you should work for Jesus and he will always favor you.



To receive wisdom

When you look at the life of Peter, he wasn’t well read but when he met with Jesus, he started learning and he became wiser.

When you have Jesus in your life, you will have godly wisdom to help you deal with life issues that may come your way.

To most people godly wisdom seems like foolishness to them, so they prefer to operate in the worldly wisdom.

For you to fulfill your destiny, you need have godly wisdom and you can only get that through Jesus Christ that is one of the reasons why you need Jesus in your life.


So why do you need Jesus?

The truth is you need Jesus in your life. You should accept him and he will accept you, always remember that it is important for you to have Jesus Christ in your life as he is the only one that can help you achieve what you want in life.

One thing that is lacking in the life of most Christians is FAITH even though they believe in God and this has made them unproductive. If you see Christians that are not being productive, one of the major reasons is their lack of faith, so let’s discuss how to build your faith as a Christian.

What most people don’t know is that even if your faith is small, it can move mountains, you don’t need to compare yourself to anyone, all you just need is to start from somewhere even if it means starting small and your faith will keep growing.

Give your life to Jesus Christ

The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword and pierces the soul, that’s something a normal sword cannot do. In short the word of God is a weapon you can use to fight battles of life; it is a spiritual sword and its one of the strongest weapon you can use to fight in life.

Do you know that soldiers feel more confident when they put on their amour than when they don’t because when they put on their amour they can easily respond to an attack they face, that is what it looks like when you are loaded with the word of God, you will have that confidence that you can face whatever comes your way, that is confidence is FAITH.

Most people read the word of God without studying and practicing it and they expect the word to work for them. Do you know that practicing the word of God is also faith; because the word of God is different from the word of the world and it promises a better result but most people find it hard to practice the word. Let’s not divert from what we are discussing, you need to study the word of God and let it live in you before it can work for you.

Some people also read the word and do not understand it, instead of them asking those who are grounded in the word or asking God for understanding, they just keep to themselves, they do not understand the word and it does not work for them.

You should try and take out time each day to study the word of God, even if it is 30 minutes or an hour, you should try it. It might not be easy at first but when you start, it will get easier for you to do.


Listen to the word of God

Do you know that the things you listen to affects you unconsciously, what you listen to builds up your belief system, so if you listen to worldly things you will act in a worldly way but if you listen to the word of God you will act according to the word of God.

One of the easiest and fastest ways to learn for me is through audio visuals like listening to mp3, audios or watching videos. One easiest and fastest ways to learn God’s word is by listening to His word, there are many materials available that you will find useful, there is the audio bible, recorded messages and gospel songs.

It is not enough to listening to the word, you also need to practice it; it is when you practice it that your faith is being built.

When listening to recorded messages, you should make sure the message is based on what the Bible says, if not do not listen to such messages so that it will not affect you faith.

It’s advisable for you to get or download an audio bible and listen to it daily if you are the type that doesn’t like reading or you don’t usually have the time to read, this will really help you.

You can also download messages of anointed men of God online or you can stream online. You will see a lot of Bible teachings on Youtube if you search through.



Develop a close relationship with God

You should learn to trust and lean on God whole heartedly, your relationship with God should be like that of a father and his young son. when most people were younger they used to believe so much in their dad, they used to believe there is nothing they ask that their dad cannot give to them even though they don’t know how it’s going to happen.

That is how your relationship should be with God, you should believe that God can meet all your needs, when you ask just believe don’t think of how it is going to happen.

If you draw nearer to God, he will also draw nearer to you. God loves us, he his waiting for us to come closer.

Don’t think God is human because where most people get it wrong is they build relationship with God through their mouth instead their heart and their action; God is not a man, so you cannot deceive him.

If you want to get closer to God, you need to live according to his standards; you need to live a righteous life.

One of the ways you can get closer to God is reading his word and also praying without ceasing.



Do not worry

When you worry it does not solve your problem a bit, it does not add a day to the life you will live on earth instead it adds to your problem. Well I guess worrying is easy that’s why a lot of people do it because that is the easiest thing to do when faced with a challenge.

Worry is not the same as strategic thinking; worry compounds your problem while strategic thinking helps you create a solution, that’s just the difference.

In life its either you are going forward or backward, when you worry it does not move you forward instead it moves you backwards.

The bad thing is worrying also have negative effect on your health, when it’s too much it can cause depression, stroke and other health related issues.

A lot of people find worrying interesting and comfortable, that’s why they keep doing it without them knowing the effect it is having on their health but when they know the effect it has on their health, they are able to control it.

When you worry, it kills your confidence and your faith because you are not able to think straight but whenever you want something, thank God for the things he has done, ask God what you want and have faith that he has done it.


Conclusion

A lot of people in life believe you become successful by working hard but gone are those days because the days we are in now require you to work hard and smart at the same time.

By working smart I mean having a vision and having faith that you can achieve that vision, and then you can work hard toward achieving it. Even the bible says that faith without works is dead, so if you have a vision and you have faith to back it up but you do not work hard then you get no result.

Also if you work hard and you have no vision or faith then you only get what life throws at you and that’s not how to live a purposeful life.

Most people that have overcome big challenges in life did so because they had faith, their faith was able to move mountain.

In life you should see every challenge as an opportunity to build your faith, when you are faced with challenges don’t feel bad instead feel excited and believe that you can overcome with faith.

Faith can move plenty a mountain, faith has worked in the past and it will still continue to work if you put it into practice.

There was this story I had about someone who prayed to God to move a mountain, that person had faith and still continued to pray even though it seems the mountain wasn’t moving but a day came and the Government came to level that mountain. At the end of the day the mountain moved, it doesn’t matter how it happened but what really matters is that the mountain moved.

When you have faith in God, do not dwell on how God will do it, just believe God can and He will do it. It’s that simple.

Faith can move all the mountains in your life.
