The Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government on Saturday adopted ECO as the name of the single currency to be issued in January 2020.

The leaders at their 55th Ordinary Session in Abuja endorsed the name while congratulating the Ministerial Committee on the Single Currency for the considerable progress recorded in the implementation of the revised roadmap.

In the communiqué read by Mr Mustapha Suleiman, Nigeria’s Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Authority instructed the ECOWAS Commission to work in collaboration with West African Monetary Agency.

The leaders also instructed the commission to work with West African Monetary Institute and the central banks to accelerate the implementation of the revised roadmap with regard to the symbol of the single currency.

The Authority also directed the commission and the central banks to accelerate the operation of the Special Fund for financing of programmes in the revised Roadmap for the ECOWAS Single Currency Programme. “It further directs the commission to ensure implementation of the recommendations of the meeting of the ministerial committee held in Abidjan on June 17 and June 18 as well as preparation and implementation of the Communication Strategy for the single currency programme. “The Authority takes note of the 2018 macroeconomic convergence report.

Since 1998, the Cowbell brand has been involved in promoting the study of mathematics in secondary schools across Nigeria and, in the process, has helped millions of students in both public and private schools, to develop interest and gain a better understanding of the subject. The project is designed to identify, recognize and reward excellence in the study of Mathematics.

In 2015, PNG decided to adopt Cowbellpedia, the creation of Oladapo Ojo thus completely overhauling the Mathematics project by making it robust and a reference point in her CSR/marketing initiative. In the same year, the initiative took a new dimension when it was split into two stages. The Stage One is the Qualifying Examination (written exam in designated centres across the country) and the Stage two is the TV quiz competition.

Since 2016, Cowbell-Our Milk has decided to bring all its mathematics intervention activities under one umbrella, Cowbellpedia. The top prize was increased to 2 million Nigerian Naira in 2018 so as to celebrate the 20 years anniversary of the Mathematics competition initiative.

Cowbellpedia is an annual mathematics intervention for young students in Nigeria with many touch points. It is approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and endorsed by National Examination Council (NECO), the National Examination body for secondary schools in Nigeria.

With the underlying objective of involving all school children (aged between 8 and 18 years), parents and caregivers, CowbellPedia was created as a trademarked initiative of PNG to warehouse all her investment in Mathematics.

After schools must have duly completed their registration on www.cowbellpedia.ng, all the eligible students are expected to write a national qualifying examination, administered by NECO, at designated centers closest to them. The results[6] are released online every 1st of June, to commemorate the World Milk Day.

From the large number of students that write the examinations annually, the best 108 (54 junior and 54 senior students), will converge in Lagos along with their mathematics teachers for the ultimate prize/bragging rights of the Best Mathematics Student for the year – The Cowbellpedia Future Inventor.

How to Apply for Cowbellpedia competition
Entrance into the Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition is free. However, all registrations are done on the official website of COWBELL following the following steps:


Visit http://www.cowbellpedia.ng/#/home to register your school.
Fill out the form and then submit. Be sure to fill all of the necessary fields
An email will be sent to the school and Main contact email addresses provided when filling the form.
Use the link in the email received to verify the email addresses. The school email address has to be verified before you log in.
After school email is verified, log in to the portal using the school password and email used to register.
Once the login is successful, click on the ‘Add Candidates’ under Candidate Management.
Fill in the candidate’s information on the form, upload the candidate’s picture and click the Save Draft button.
You will need to save draft information for 5 candidates before you can submit their registration. If your school is a mixed one, at least 2 of those candidates have to be girls or you may not be able to complete the registration.
After creating the draft registration for 5 candidates in a category (junior/senior), a button will be displayed on the page to”Register junior/senior candidates”. Click on the button to fill out the registration of candidates for that category.
A confirmation slip will be generated for you to download and are also sent to the institution, candidate and also parent/guardian current email address.
Printing this confirmation slip and have it stamped and signed with the school principal.
The confirmation slip will be demanded to admit applicants in the exam venue.

Apple creates separate Podcasts, TV, and Music apps for mac-OS
The iTunes era is over. During its annual developers conference today, Apple announced that it’s breaking iTunes up into three separate macOS apps: Podcasts, TV, and Music. The update will come with macOS 10.15. The shift makes sense, and has already taken place on iOS. Apple Podcasts, for example, has been on iPhones and iPads for years, but never made its way over to macOS devices. iTunes itself is a relic of a different era in which people bought all their music and movies in one place, and it’s felt neglected and outdated for quite some time.


The new apps feature colorful sidebars and clear menus that are easy to navigate, especially compared to the bloated iTunes. Apple Music, as the name suggests, is singularly focused on music and offers personalized recommendations while the Podcasts is dedicated to the podcast listening experience. Along with the podcast app, Apple says it’s introducing a new machine learning feature that indexes shows so that people can search for content more easily. The TV app will include Apple’s exclusive content along with other providers’ shows, including Showtime and HBO. It supports 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.

Apple is focusing on services to augment its hardware sales, so giving people a specific app to find specific content follows the company’s trajectory and new subscription offerings. The TV app, for example, is where the company’s new Apple TV Plus service will exist. People who use still used iTunes for syncing will no longer see an app pop up to do so. A phone or iPod will sync through the sidebar in Finder.

The magazine has claimed the 49-year-old’s empire “conservatively” totals $1bn after valuing his various ventures as well as any real estate and his art collection. Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is one of just a handful of billionaire entertainers and the first hip-hop artist to claim such a fortune.



“It’s bigger than hip-hop,” said his longtime collaborator Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean. “It’s the blueprint for our culture. A guy that looks like us, sounds like us, loves us, made it to something that we always felt that was above us.”

Some of his most valuable holdings include his $310m ownership of Armand de Brignac champagne, a $100m stake in D’Ussé cognac, his $100m Tidal streaming service, $50m in real estate and a $70m investment in Uber. It’s also estimated that his music catalog is worth about $75m thanks to a careful negotiation of his publishing rights.


“Most times rappers end up broke or nowhere,” he said in a 2005 interview when his estimated worth was $350m. “It’s time for someone to take it to the next level, to become an executive and open the doors for the culture.”

Jay-Z grew up in a housing project in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, and was selling drugs as a teen before he started rapping. Without a label, he started selling CDs out of his car before releasing his first album, 1996’s Reasonable Doubt which has sold more than 1.5m copies since. In 2008, he married Beyoncé, whose net worth is estimated to be $355m. On his last album, 2017’s 4:44, he rapped: “Ain’t no such thing as an ugly billionaire, I’m cute.”

Recently, the rapper has been involved in philanthropic endeavors, offering legal assistance to cases involving black men mistreated by the criminal justice system.

Receipt of previous grants: Priority will be given to applications who have not yet received a Belgian grant.
Professional experience: ARES places a priority on giving grants to applicants who, after their university studies, have been able to work in a professional field related to issues raised by development. The social impact of professional experience is considered an important element in evaluating an applicant’s file.
Part of a partner institution: Applicants who work within an institution that is a partner of ARES, whether as part of institutional support, or a development research project or global South training program, are automatically given priority, in case of all other selection criteria being equal.
The applicant’s commitment to development initiatives: Particular attention will be given to application files from candidates who, in addition to their academic qualities, have proven their commitment to the development field. Commitment is illustrated by having worked with the least fortunate members of society and having engaged with them to find efficient ways to defend and promote their interests.
Nationality criteria: ARES wishes to diversify the geographic origin of its grantees. It wants, for the totality of its international coursework and training courses as part of the “Training, Research & Outreach for Development” program, 50% of total trainees to be applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa.
Gender equality: ARES is particularly interested in encouraging the participation of women in the international coursework and training courses that are part of the “Training, Research & Outreach for Development” program.
The prospects for future reintegration: A maximum number of guarantees is required concerning the applicant’s return to their country of origin or to another developing country, as well as their reintegration into a field that will allow them to make use of the training acquired in Belgium in a development context (e.g. a work contract or a formal pledge) and to generate a multiplier effect that benefits their country of origin.

The MEng (Aerospace) program is offered in cooperation with other Quebec universities and as many as 20 industry partners. The MEng curriculum is designed to meet the evolving needs of the aerospace sector and is coordinated by two well-known, Quebec based industry organizations: the Comité industries/universités sur la maîtrise en génie aéronautique et spatial (CIMGAS) and the Centre d'adaptation de la main-d'oeuvre aérospatiale au Québec (CAMAQ).

Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministre de l'Éducation, de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, Québec (Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research, Quebec), Concordia University (CU) is a very large (enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Concordia University (CU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.

Admission Requirements
Applicants to the MEng Program must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with high standing. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in architecture with high engineering content may also be considered for the MEng program. Such students will be required to enroll in an extended program.

The Faculty Graduate Studies Committee will determine the acceptability of an applicant for admission to the program and may require an applicant to take specified undergraduate courses in order to qualify for acceptance. Qualified applicants requiring prerequisite courses may be required to take such courses in addition to their regular graduate program.

Applicants with deficiencies in their undergraduate preparation may be required to take a qualifying program. An ability to write simple programs in a standard computer language will be assumed. Students lacking this skill will be required to register for the appropriate course. This course will be taken in addition to regular degree requirements.

Like I suggested using Whogohost as a hosting provider it’s going to be a lot easier to add a code snippet in the FUNCTIONS.PHP of your currently installed theme:

GUIDE 1: Go to your website URL and attach /cpanel at the end of your site link. E.g www.example.com/cpanel>>Login>>Public_Html>>Wp-content>>Themes>>Choose the currently installed theme and click>>Once the contents of the themes are opened look for the FUNCTION.PHP and right click >> Edit.

GUIDE 2:Follow the prompt, once the code source is opened Download this code and open.. Copy the entirety of the code and paste it in the function.php of your theme.

GUIDE 3: Then save, now all your redirects is working perfectly, Congratulations on setting up custom redirect for your new wordpress site.

Wiki loves earth is moderated by local Wikipedia affiliates to help organize the local contest.

The year 2017 is a good one for Nigerians just only because of the recognizance of Nigeria by Wikipedia, but by the successes achieved in the entertainment industry (specifically, the one I can account for), where Wizkid was nominated for Grammy Awards, Davido, Tekno, Eazi and Wizkid again nominated for BET AWARDS on different categories.

The Wikimedia event is themed at disseminating the photo shots taken from the local heritages in Nigeria for the world to take note of for free on wiki platform. This practice has begun four years ago (2013)precisely and has had other countries participated in the Wiki loves earth contest. This year's contest would see one African country; Nigeria participate while nine other countries from CEE (Central and Eastern European) participate and they are:
Moldova,
Bulgaria,
Georgia,
Azerbaijan,
Greece,
Latvia,
Russia,
Serbia and the WLE inventor
Ukraine
The contest is made possible by one of Wikipedia's subsidiaries, the WIKI MEDIA COMMONS, and this practice of taking Naturescape photos is primarily for the sole purpose of picture references to depict the real nature of a given Landscape as the case may be. The pictures also serve as a convincing factor when convincing readers of any Wikipedia projects.
